Kerfuffle
First live stream as shown live last Wednesday night. (starts at 2:48) After watching this, I can definitely say the game just looks absolutely incredible and I'm so excited for its release. stretchy
Project LC
I have gone and bought the early bird edition so I can have access to the Alpha where I will be doing videos on it. While it was very expensive all I can currently think about is this game so I feel I will get my use out of it. The fact that on release this will have up to 20,000 people in a park is incredible. The alpha has about 40 rides and coasters at the moment in time with more to come. Also the developers talking about having dark rides there is very little this game doesn't have. Kerfuffle
Do we know what the system requirements are for this? I hope I won't have to upgrade my motherboard...or buy a new PC
Project LC
The are likely to be very similar to Elite: Dangerous requirements. Its running on the same engine. They are going to use the alpha to find out what the minimum requirements are for the game so at the time being they don't have that kind of data. Apparently it scales well but at the moment we haven't seen any game footage so how it runs could be anyone's guess. So far its all been pre-rendered. Kerfuffle
The second stream featuring lead artist Sam Denney on the subject of rides in the game.
Project LC
The detail going into the flat rides is very impressive. The screamin' swing is just wonderful. Also the hints at how RCTW's screamin' swing is terrible compared to there's I found amusing. Sheepie and Kerfuffle
Sheepie
Cheers for posting the live stream! I missed it earlier. I'm not ashamed to admit I bought the early bird.
Kerfuffle
The stream above also confirms the release date for the early bird edition to be March 22nd. Not long now!!
Benin
One thing I'm hoping for with this is that there are versions of the rides (such as the Star Flyer) that don't have the really bad cartoony stuff around it... Looks amazing otherwise... What's the early bird edition looking like? If it's anything like the first editions of Theme Park Studio then I'll wait... Project LC
No coaster builder. Just the modular building for the generic and pirate set. Along with paths and possibly some flat rides. They aim to update it often so the alpha will keep getting better until it's release (Some time September-December).
Kerfuffle
Further information about the Alpha has been released! Also includes minimum system requirements. https://forums.planetcoaster.com/showthread.php/1652-Everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-Planet-Coaster-alpha

stretchy
Quite a nice little article about it. http://arstechnica.co.uk/gaming/2016/03/planet-coaster-theme-park-sim-alpha-preview/ For you alpha users: To access coaster building, open a map and select the "Rides," "Scenery," or "Buildings" tab, then select the "Search" option (a magnifying glass) and enter the code "underconstruction" (all one word) to enable the coaster construction tab. Project LC
Currently the game runs amazingly well. My laptop is well below the minimum requirements and its handling it at a steady 30fps. pognoi
Mattgwise
This video (and part 2) really shows how amazing this game will be, mainly in terms of theming. Take a look at this guys amazing work with buildings and rock work.
pognoi
Don't hate me for cross forum ads, but a Shyguysworld all the old RCT3ers have suddenly popped up and the quality of the work is amazing. Even nerd cubed was making the game look beautiful, even whilst just larking about in it. Talking to Silv, and codemaster, and other RCT3 forum goers, we've come to the conclusion that this game is just what the community needed. It's so close to RCT3, it's just bought the game to the next level, and a level above that. The graphics are stunning, the games engine is very good, and so far, considering it's still only an alpha (!) it smashes pretty much every theme park sim out of the water. The screens are stunning. The tools are incredibly user friendly. It's the game we've been waiting for. I really wanted to cry when I first opened this thing up. It's just so fun, and so easy to use. Frontier have made what we've wanted for so long, and it's just perfect. Ryan, CharlieN, Kerfuffle and 2 others

Glitch
Look's amazing. I'm confused.... What ever happened to the Frontier game that was going to be an xbox exclusive? Why arn't frontier making RCT4 under the real name why didn't Atari give them the rights as this game looks a lot better than RCT4.
Project LC
Atari isn't really Atari anymore. They are a different company under the same name. Frontier wanted to do it there way. They didn't want to answer to a large publisher focusing on fast turn arounds to maximise profit. RCTW has had 3 developers so far and is shambles just like Atari. RTC4 we do not speak about. It's best left forgotten in the world of mobile games.
RobF
Anyone here got the Beta planet coaster ?
Project LC
I do, it's becoming a bit samey. Hopefully that will be fixed in a couple of weeks. Oh and it's an alpha not a beta
Project LC
For anyone interested there is a live stream about phase 2 of the alpha at 7pm on the 4th, 11th, 18th and a developer spotlight at 6pm on the 5th, 12th and 19th of may.
Kerfuffle
Here's the livestream on the rides. Couldn't be more excited about the rides that are revealed here! Hopefully more will be added in future though; drive wheels (for stations especially) and lowering floors for suspended coasters maybe? Other than that it looks incredible Mattgwise
Project LC
They did mention in the stream that the animation for stations are not ready yet. I imagine they will have included lowing stations for inverts, they have gone to crazy levels of realism I doubt they would not include that. Kerfuffle
Anyone know the system requirements for this yet? Got a feeling my motherboard will need a complete upgrade just to play this...
