Matt, I have just looked up the bus service from the train stations to Towers. I'm amazed how poor it is. Unless it improves as we get more into the season.

Was wondering if anyone wanted to do the Roller Coaster Restaurant on any part of the trip as I'm interested in teying it out?

I guess it would be good fun but I'm happy to go with what the majority want to do and I guess with a large group we would need lots of space.

What are people doing regarding accommodation? I know the sun are doing a promo on the AT hotel right now but it's still quite pricey

most/all of us will be doing the Newcastle Travelodge probably. 

I'm will be staying at Travelodge. Friday and Saturday night.

With the roller-coaster restaurant now open, and being an interesting experience especially for enthusiasts I would recommend this for Saturday evening. Saturday Evenings are currently fully booked till mid June, so I will re-iterate my comment about booking places.

Air is also open for riding for people with restaurant bookings from 6-8. If you book the table for 8 ish then it is dark when you leave, and the portal is beautiful in the dark.

Go to the Hotel or one of the other attractions and you get to enter along the new path and see this:

sorry, no just mental brain fart. It is Galactica but you can ride without VR in the evenings which maybe why my dysfunctional mind said Air.

I like the idea of the coaster restaurant from an enthusiast point of view. I haven't looked at the menu or prices. Looking at things we may need to organise this soon. What does everyone think.

I would love for us to do this especially to go on Galatica (Air) without VR also get to try the new Rollercoaster Restuarant out.

It is so much better, Going through the portal is a really fun thing to do when you can see it!

The fan sites have swapped parks! Towers Street is going to Thorpe Park this weekend and TPM is going to Alton Towers. Unfortunately I will be meeting TS at Thorpe Park this weekend.

I have booked a table for 9 people at the Rollercoaster restaurant on Saturday at 8pm. 

 

if anyone else wants to go to the Rollercoaster restaurant I would suggest booking sooner rather than later as you may not get in now.
