Mark9
The Irony being that the lighting is the least of Vampires problems...
Benin
Granted, not the best image I could've gotten of the organist... But kinda shows the colour scheme...
James6
Wow...From what I can make out, it looks quite different more so than I expected, and actually really, really good :)Thanks for the picture, if the whole station is in the same tone as that, it will look brilliant. MikeyT
Mm Benin thanks for that, makes me want to see the rest of the station now.
themeparkmad
Yesterday = Vampire 130 mins on 2 trains...
Benin
Yesterday = Vampire 130 mins on 2 trains...You mean Half Term was BUSY? ;)Either there were some poor platformers there, or just there was a need for the 3rd train... Although was the queue REALLY going up towards Bubbles? A full queue is 70-90 minutes depending on the number of trains, so 130 minutes would mean it going all the way up the hill and through the arch... James6
Wasn't Fury closed for most of that day too ? That and the need for the 3rd train I would guess would cause that kind of queue
Fred
Half the time I think they completely make up that queuetime, there is no chance that the queue had around 1500 people in it to create that queuetime, the queue itself only holds around 800 lol
themeparkmad
Either there were some poor platformers there, or just there was a need for the 3rd train... Although was the queue REALLY going up towards Bubbles? A full queue is 70-90 minutes depending on the number of trains, so 130 minutes would mean it going all the way up the hill and through the arch...I would say there is definately a need for the 3rd train!!And it was out of the queue line by the Express Pass entrance but not right up the path Wasn't Fury closed for most of that day too ? That and the need for the 3rd train I would guess would cause that kind of queueDragon's Fury opened at 3pm.
Benin
And it was out of the queue line by the Express Pass entrance but not right up the path Then it wasn't a 130 minute queue...Simple as... The operator evidently employed the old "make the queue-time longer than it actually is technique"...
themeparkmad
^ Did I say it was 'actually' an 130 mins queue? ;)I said what I saw - Not what I thought it was ;)I did hear someone say they queued over an hour and a half though so it is still busy

JoshC.
Dragon's Fury opened at 3pm.Ahem. Half 3 actually. A technique I adopted many a time.I do love it when operators do that. Many people turn away from the queues, making them even shorter for me. Oh, I love being a fanboy!
Kevin
Shall we set a few facts straight seeing as the place has quite a bit of unfair slanting recently?Kobra broke down twice that day, both times valleying in dip next to Mayhem, and Dragon's Fury was up and down throughout the day, it wasn't closed for any period longer than half of an hour. The Vampire queue really was 2 hours, as Exp had been oversold that day, to the point where both queues were full. 45 Mins in Exp + an hour and a half in main queue.Uptime for today was 99% overall, 97% for top 6. Fun fact!
James6
I thought that the organist was much improved with the new lighting, and I couldn't decide which lighting I preferred for the rest of the station, in terms of green or red. Still looked awesome though Sorry for the poor picture quality.
themeparkmad
Nice pictures James! ;)I think I prefer the green overall but the organist looks amazing!
MikeyT
James those pictures aren't bad quality, they were brilliant! Just what I was hoping to see. I love the lighting around the organist, phwaorr, it looks so ghostly. Awesome. Not sold on the red just yet from the photograph, though it is the obvious colour to be associated with Vampires isn't it really. Blood red station. James6
^ (Thanks about the pictures ) And agreed, I think it's just because we were all so used to the green and purple
Paul
I love the red/blue lighting scheme. For me it seems to create a higher sense of fear, especially for first time riders, more so than the green scheme did anyway.

d.m.k
Yeah its got technical difficulties*slow - sarcastic clap* I was there yesterday and a member of staff in the area said it seems to be a problem with the second lift hill.Don't know if anyone can confirm this but I'm sure I've heard problems in the past with that lift hill?
