December 1, 201113 yr comment_128242 Being met with a positive reaction on German speaking forums, I give you... (the german "W" is pronounced like an English "V" - so this is something like vo-darn)
December 1, 201113 yr comment_128252 Research it on Wikipedia. Remember this is a German park, not looking to have English names on everything that would suit our tongues and dialects.
December 1, 201113 yr comment_128254 Research it on Wikipedia. Remember this is a German park, not looking to have English names on everything that would suit our tongues and dialects. Really? A foreign park would use it's own language instead of ours? Learn something new everyday I guess...I'm just unsure how it sounds in my head... It doesn't sound like a roller-coaster by my tastes... Voooooodarn just sounds like a play on Wooden... Quite unimaginative in a way...Personally, hope it's not that... Just doesn't fit...

This is a park that has Supersplash and megacoaster in the name of two of its existing coasters. Voodan to me is quite neat and tounge in cheek enough to be acceptable.
December 1, 201113 yr comment_128263 Wodan has plenty of links to the theme of the ride too. In addition 'Timbur' is the ancient Icelandic word for Wood, which conviently sounds like 'timber' too.So it works both ways. :)EDIT - just noticed some people typing 'voo'dan - it's not, it is 'vo-darn'.
December 2, 201113 yr comment_128271 Actually it's typed 'Wodan', as that is the name. It's just not pronounced like that.
December 2, 201113 yr comment_128288 Actually it's typed 'Wodan', as that is the name. It's just not pronounced like that.Well, obviously... just being helpful with the pronounciation and phonological spelling of the word.
December 10, 201113 yr comment_128512 Lift hill structure is nearly finished:Was ist das in der foreground? :oPhotos from Wodan's Facebook.
December 17, 201113 yr comment_128811 Double post but...Wodan's lift hill structure is completed.Themeing has begun construction.Sexy turn!Gotta love a good trench, especially this one and the way the visitors will get great views of the rider's faces! How artsy...And a hop over Atlantica ^_^Much appreciated credit to GCI's Facebook, TPR and Europa Park for the photos.
December 17, 201113 yr comment_128813 HMMMMMMM NOM NOM NOM NOM...Absolutely gorgeous... I want this SO much in my life...
December 17, 201113 yr comment_128823 Thanks for the update, it looks AMAZING! I wanna ride now :(But... one thing ruins it all for me: Double postI've reported you, sorry.
December 18, 201113 yr comment_128830 Oh, you... *deletes report*But yes! This ride looks absolutely amazing. The air-time on that first drop, at the back.
December 18, 201113 yr comment_128842 I am going to EP from 29 December for a few days over New Year, and have arranged to meet up with one of the directors of the park so we can be shown the new coaster. If anybody has any burning questions about the ride that you'd like me to try and ask - let me know and I will be happy to do my best!As it stands, the ride looks beautiful! The hop over Atlantica is now more or less complete, too!

January 8, 201213 yr comment_129695 Fantastic onsite update provided by "Hanno" from TPR, full set can be found here: http://www.themepark...132418#p1132418
January 8, 201213 yr comment_129697 Some technical details:The ride will have 3 trains (GCI First), rubber wheels (GCI first) with the hard and soft option if needed and lapbars only.LAP-BARS YAY.
January 8, 201213 yr comment_129701 ALTHOUGH!TUV (the German H&S mob) have said that due to the lack of seat-belts the bars will lock LOWER than they normally would.Soooooooo riders with large girth (Raptor <3) may have an issue, but a test seat will no doubt appear to help sort it out.Though imo, I remember loads of enthusiasts panicking cos of Raptor having 'tight fittting' restraints, and no-one did the walk of shame. So whatever (it doesn't affect me in the slightest ANYWAY).
January 8, 201213 yr comment_129702 I don't care about the whole large girth thing, people shouldn't be so fat. It's disgusting and completely unfair on the staff who have to try and force them in or get them out (yes, try getting large people out of air in flying position, then try and not dislike all of them).Just new ride is wooo!
