NOOOOOOOOOO! You've got to be joking. Idiots. Can we just take a moment to appreciate how fabulous THE Nemesis Inferno theme is? Those chords, the bass, the melody... sheer brilliance.

  2. Went on Wickerman today and thoroughly enjoyed it more than expected. It’s not got the longest or most impressive layout, but is a great machine and the offers the park a much needed woodie, experience and ‘family thrill’ attraction. Full review to follow at a later date. Whilst there were lots of things I liked ( besides Wicker) like the Duel and Gardens TLC, there were some things there I can’t be as positive with unfortunately. The amount of closed F&B units and retail spaces was quite shocking, especially when you consider a park the size of Towers and it’s corporate owner. Five of what was once nine outlets are now closed/mothballed between Katanga Canyon and Forbidden Valley. This has put considerable strain on others that remain open. Some rides also remain in a questionable state. Smiler’s aesthetics leave something to be desired and almost everything in the projection room is broken. Congo also seemed to be running a few boats around, which considering how busy and nice the weather was disappointing. Towers arent Europa unfortunately, but Merlin could definitely do a lot more for the park than what they currently do, which is a shame to see.

We just need to hope that Alton Towers don’t start replacing all of their music with tracks from IMAscore. Imagine the outrage in the theme park community if Nemesis or Obilvion received a new soundtrack! I really miss the years when the bass tubes in the station made you feel the music. Sadly, they were turned right down years ago and now I highly doubt they will ever be fully utilised again ?

No sense at all. Thorpe Park used to be such a fun, vibrant place where each area had its own unique atmosphere. From the dramatic scores for Colossus and Nemesis Inferno, you had the western Canada Creek Playlist, WWTP Radio (back when it played properly), and so many fun pieces of music which added so much to the park's atmosphere. Fast forward to 2018, and the park has no atmosphere at all. Every area has had its vibe washed out with the same corporate IMAScore tripe, stripping it back of all the fun and atmosphere that a theme park should have. Rumba's fun catchy theme? Nope, let's have some nondescript "Zufari" music that people will have forgotten by the time they leave the ride. Also, who remembers this gem? I remember it playing across the bridges out of the dome, around the beach area etc. Now just the same music as everywhere else in the park. They'd be better off with chart music than the current rubbish, at least that is varied!

Can now confirm the reason Rush has been getting large queues lately is because it's running on one swing at present: On the plus side, at least this swing now reaches beyond 90 degrees (just about) once again finally! Yay! xD

    Europa Park

Amazing stuff, though I doubt helped by the difference of regulatory standards... If same thing happened here, HSE would have the site until determination of the root cause was firmly established and the park would prove that it wasn't in the wrong (or try to)... We'd never get this purely because the parks wouldn't care or lazyness...

    Europa Park

Just an incredible theme park, completely dedicated to all it’s guests and determined to open things as soon as it’s feesible. Europa has always been my favourite theme park and things like this which really show why.

  9. Something I've noticed on the last few visits with the ride is the station and bottom of the lift hill have presently got their white floodlights turned on, constantly illuminating the ceiling and mechanics, but this was not the case when it initially opened back in March and was a lot darker. As a result, the station area is now much brighter than it needs to be and the fancy lighting effects used upon dispatch are rendered pointless as a result. Also, maybe this is just bad memory, but the orange smoke effect after leaving the final brake run with the TV screens just before the on-ride photo does not seem anywhere near as effective compared to when it opened back in Match. The smoke no longer covers riders similar to an archway as they pass through it anymore and instead just fires upwards missing riders entirely. Lastly, the watch tower in the queue no longer plays any themed announcements through the tannoy speakers bizarrely. Can only guess it's not being used anymore because it was incredibly loud and needed to be tuned down a little bit. But it would be nice to hear them used again if possible. As for the rest of the attraction, it's nice to see small updates and changes being made in places since it's inception and guiltily, I'm liking it gradually more and more every time I try it. Still have a slight preference over it being X previously, purely because it was accessible to more people with the lower height restriction, had an up-beat theme and didn't pretend to be an extreme thrill machine like it is now. But the gap has definitely gotten smaller since March.

R.I.P Nemesis Inferno's 2003 Theme...... The ride is now playing the full 30-minute Jungle track made by IMAscore, which means less than 10% of the music now uses Inferno's melody, but plays the island theme at least 5 times in that same period. It's being used at the entrance, all queue areas, ride areas (under lift hill, near loop etc) and the station. *sigh* another ride's identity lost... 20180610_121029.mp4
