    This Or That

Wood. Carpet is too rough on bare feet.Coke or Pepsi?
  3. Had an unexpected trip with the family today. Their reasoning was because I needed a break from the stress of exams, yet I've only had 1 mock exam. Still got 20-odd to come. :/ Anyways, was very busy. However, generally the park was very good. Will post a more in depth report later, kinda busy at the mo.

    SAW: Alive

Well, as said in the TR bit, had an unexpected trip with the family today. Had an improved experience than my previous times. SWAT room. Absolutely amazing and I love it. This seems to be one of the only times when the braver ones are targeted. Bathroom scene. Was rather bad. Most of the group had left the room before an actor did anything - and then al she did was stand up and bang the chains. Saw II. Felt the vibrations from the gate. Nice effect when grouped with the electric fence warnings and not knowing. Best of all was there was an actor on top the cage, who grabbed the tops of people's head just before leaving the scene. Freezer room. Still the best scene of the attraction. However, I prefer it when there's a female actor - just seems to fit the room better. For some reason, the sound effect on the swinging pendulum from the Saw V scene was here. Mausoleum trap. The smell seemed to stay in my nose all day - in fact, I can still smell it now! The actor just stood there - rather bland. Saw V. No actor top prance around on the table. However, in the cage in the corner, there was someone rattling it. Nice touch that took me by surprise. Carousel Trap. Still quite a weak ending. The actors have no way to really scare you.So, a better experience. Still not a great maze, but my opinion has risen to a 4/10.
  5. Just to echo what everyone else has said..Great interview; gave an absolutely incredible insight into Th13teen. Look forward greatly to Part 2. ;)Well done Nick!

ARGH!I thought the debate was on ITV at 8:30 again - not Sky at 8pm. Now I can't watch it at all! S'pose that teaches me for making assumptions.Looks like it is French revision after all...

French Revision for GCSE or Debate for leisure and help for A-Levels next year. Tough choice.
  10. Ah, you have to upload it today, don't you?Unfortunately I'm revising for my French Speaking Exam that's tomorrow, so can't listen to it until then. Thanks for that though. Based on what has been posted; it sounds great.

Rather than set up a new topic...Tumblr is much more interesting I think. A bit like Facebook and Twitter having a baby. For anyone who has no idea what I'm on about:http://www.tumblr.comFor anyone who wants to add me:http://coastercoyston.tumblr.com/Only trouble with this is it doesn't have many people I know.
  12. Time for my rant...Pathetic people who rant at you continuously for now reason whatsoever. I'll set the scene for you. My uncle is engaged. After a series of events, his fiancée moved close to where I live and he moved in. His fiancée has an adopted daughter who now goes to my school. Out the the kindness of my heart, I regarded her as my cousin - so it seemed as if she new someone. I didn't have to, but I still did. After a while, she just started using that as an excuse to everyone, which annoyed me. Now, I'm being blunt and just stating she is a family acquaintance - which I've always seen as the truth. Yet she still feels the need to talk to me at school. I'll be there, talking to friends or even teachers (once it was even the headteacher) and she'll come up to me and start having a conversation. Then, when I say I'm taking to someone, she goes off on one! It is just plain annoying. Now, my uncle and I aren't the best of friends and don't see eye to eye. Granted, we can speak to each other and that, but there have been a few arguments between us that have split the family in 2 sides. But anyway, she's now trying to take advantage of that and try and provoke me into saying something she can use against me, and go cry to my uncle to start another argument. So basically, it's just a mini rant from an aggravating little girl.

    Th13teen

My only grumble about this whole thing is that that photo doesn't haven't enough Cleggs!

    Rush

Swing A has been a bit inconsistent. My first 2 visits it was going like crazy (as usual), but on my 3rd visit, it did seem to be a bit sluggish and lazy.

    Th13teen

Haha! This is the type of marketing which I think is just brilliant. A bit of fun and describes the park perfectly. I absolutely love this idea. Well done AT!
  16. I do hate how gay is an insult, or even how it is used as a way of saying something is bad. I will admit I sometimes say 'Oh, how gay is that!?' when something is just plain wrong (though this is a relatively rare). Unfortunately, it is something that has rubbed off on me due to it being said around me so many times. I s'pose it is just a sign of the times though. A couple of generations ago, gay meant happy. Now it means wrong / weird. Hopefully in a couple of generations, it won't be differentiated against straight. Again, echoing everyone else. I'm straight, have no trouble with gay people whatsoever. Have members of my family who are gay. Have friends who are gay (though, some not openly). Just a shame it still isn't accepted as much. For example, when I told some friends (well, ex-friends now) that if I was gay, they'd have known, they responded 'And if we'd known, we wouldn't know you..'
  17. Why did these Ride _ things ever stop anyway? :DI voted Good. I would say it is an understatement (a 4.5/5 if you will), but it isn't excellent - well, this season anyway. Provides a great drop which is really fun and forceful. In fact, it is only this season I have had the guts enough to have my hands up on it all the way through the ride. The audio was very good. Note, was. Now, the audio goes 5 *dun-dun*, silence, 1 *dun-dun* Detonation! It just doesn't sound right. Half the fun of the ride was the countdown. It added so much to it. And then when it didn't work, it was just as good, as it is was a little eerier. However, now, it just seems inconsistent (I know it is meant to be) and not that well thought out. Basically, with a drop tower, I think audio and atmosphere are key. And now, the ride has been let down by that. For Detonator, either have a complete countdown, or no countdown at all.
  18. The thing I find unusual is I know quite a few gays, but I don't know a single lesbian. Has anyone else find being openly gay is more common in men than women, or am I just in an area where not lesbians are around?
  19. My days Ryan, how I agree with you. My GCSEs start next Thursday and they feel like they're coming like a Toyota with no breaks!Bad enough really that half my teachers are rubbish and I still haven't completed courses in about 4 subjects. And it seems more and more teachers are getting made redundant at the end of the year to cut costs, which is stressing them out even more than usual. Basically, every lesson is a ball of stress. And then you've got some my 'friends' who have now deserted me - and talk behind my back even when I'm in clear ear shot. Yet, when they're stuck with revision or homework, guess who they speak to first? Then it just seems more of my friends are either acting better than me because of what college they're going to or just ignoring me whenever I want to talk to them because I'm concentrating on my GCSEs. Seems as if whatever I do, I'm in the wrong. Though I'm not in the same situation as you Ryan (with the bullying and death threat side), I've been there and I know how your feeling. Unfortunately, as James said, it's one of those things which you seem to have to ride out. Worst of all for you is that it's happening at such a crucial time. :DHopefully college will be a fresh start. Though, considering whatever I've taken, people who I dislike seem to have taken as well, I'm not too hopeful at the mo.

    Legoland

More just to add to my coaster count if I'm honest!
  21. JoshC.

    Legoland

A launched coaster would work perfectly for the park. Also would be good to have another in the country down south. Still a bit disappointed I never got on Jungle Coaster, but ah well.

    Fastrack

Wasn't there one in the silver van thing by the launch track?
  23. Thanks for those James. Unfortunately, that's what it is being advertised as. It might only apply for the first season or something, but I personally think it is a poor decision.

    Fastrack

On all 3 of my visits this season, it has only been the Inferno one open. The Dome has always directed people to Inferno and the Stealth one I haven't seen open in ages.
