  1. Indeed - I do really really like Derren Brown - glad it's this IP and not the "others" that were mooted I do think, as others have said, he's not about to put his name to any old rubbish - which does lead me to hope this is going to be a cracking dark ride and addition to Thorpe Park. In some ways I hope the mystery as to what goes on inside that big old shed is maintained until opening day.
  2. I do wonder if that is a subtle hint to something though regarding not being able to scream/shout - might be wrong. Thanks for sharing the coffee/actors pic too Ryan.
  3. Is the tied up lips significant? Would some sort of effect meaning you (at least think) you can't shout/speak be possible?
  4. I hope they look after the projectors better than those in the Smiler queue building
  5. Who the hell is that cat-ear wearing idiot drinking coffee in the queue for MBV? Oh...
  6. I know it's £15 extra but I was really quite surprised how few people Face It Alone on the mazes... if it wasn't for TPM members, the total number of people would've been just one! It's an "extreme" (and somewhat niche) experience for sure but perhaps those at Thorpe just aren't used to paying out for add-on attractions/maze experiences - does anyone know how well Containment has been doing?
  7. Personally I don't think that was all planned last night, and those images we must never speak of are actually the real deal. Smacks of panicking to me - those Dr. Who pictures seem very rushed, they even have a line down one side of them if you view them on a white background, so unprofesh!
  8. Thanks RyanB19, see you at a meet soon
  9. It's the Men In Black, what you think you saw you did not see WC16 = Men In Black the ride!
  10. Those earlier images didn't look fake to me, plus the photoshoot in the image of the person who we cannot speak of appears to be completely new and not anywhere online. However, those Dr. Who ones, they do look fake
  11. Or just lock the whole board... or you may have a busy night of post deleting ahead of you
  12. Can we start speculating about what the ride theme is again?
  13. ^ Can we stop with all these fake accounts? "Joined 5 minutes ago"....
  14. Cannot unsee what has been seen
  15. Yes I was saying to someone earlier - I really don't think Derren would put his name to any old crap.... hopefully
  16. They uploaded that "ribs challenge" picture on owl.ly 7 hours ago yet only tweeted it 4 hours ago... with that in mind, they should be posting those two new teaser pictures very shortly...

I don't think they would to be honest - it's not in Thorpe's interest to advise now what ride(s) won't be available in 2016 as it's just negative publicity which isn't needed considering Merlin's current position... better to release that info at the start of the season with an explanation why, I.e. what's replacing it etc.
  18. No one said the IP was the London Underground... but it has been said that there's going to be a train carriage involved some how... I'm not sure how many times I have to say that End Of The Line. Mind Gap which became Mind The Gap. But I know nothing of course. Why do you think they changed it from codename Whitechapel to WC16 to make it less obvious? It's not like there's a Whitechapel underground sta... oh wait...
  19. Maybe their thinking is by having a "new" water ride, people won't mind so much when they have to shut Dragon Falls for a refurb and/or to work on (or destroy ) the Tomb Blaster building. Even with that in mind, as already said, this isn't what CWoA needs right now. Could be worse though, could be a year round maze, right?!
  20. That Big Top music haunts my dreams...
  21. I was saying elsewhere - my visit to Thorpe on Sunday was my first in a year and a half - which meant I actually was genuinely excited about visiting, I was like a kid driving up the A3 and M25 and then doing the usual looking-at-the-rides-from-the-road across the empty Thorpe car park Sure, there were a few niggles - Slammer she ded, Samurai unavailable (not that I ride it anyway ), Fasttrack oversell and E Stops on Saw Alive making the queue take ages and exaggerating of queue times on the mazes purely for Fasttrack upsell (no way was Cabin 120 mins, it was about 20 at 4pm when we went on) BUT.... all that aside - I loved being back on Stealth, and riding Stealth & Swarm in the dark was all kinds of awesome. Big Top I was very impressed by, thought it was fantastic... Fear It Alone Big Top even more so.... Containment impressed me greatly too and was enjoyable and different, and I commend TP for that! In short - I was pretty darn happy with my single visit to Thorpe Park this year!
  22. The only lowlight of yesterday was the Saw Alive queue - that barely moved because of effing Fasttrack. A couple of E-Stops compounded the issue, meaning there was a backlog of Fasttrack that then took precedence over the paupers in the standard queue. I still have yet to ever purchase a Fasttrack ticket and am proud of it
