I think it's been mentioned as "Detonator - INVADED by Angry Birds", because imagination is dead...

Will be a bit weird with just inferno in calypso quay unless rumba will still be apart of it. I'm not really a fan of the IP though it seems a tad worn out in the sense like Benin said it peaked ages ago, plus I will and always will call it detonator even if there is a complete name change which there probably will be.

The great thing about detonator is the actual feeling of dropping, the theming adds very little to the actual ride and is only present to tie it in to what is around it. Sticking a birds nest on top and some characters around it will make no difference at all, only maybe the audio changing could have a detrimental effect but there's no reason that can't be done well. I don't really see how this could leave it 'ruined'.

Unfortunately I can't seem to find any to recommend, but my personal idea would be to get the best speakers student loan can buy, face them onto the ground since he's directly below you, and blare out Rammstein (or any heavy band of your choice/his least favourite genre of music)...
But then, I'm an evil git...

Stealth dispatches every 1-2mins with a car of 20pph and has a throughput of 1000pph. The mondial turbine does have the same capacity but the throughput is much lower as it takes longer to load/unload and the cycles would have to be longer as I'm sure a 20 second ride on a turbine would not be very enjoyable at thorpe and would be way too short after a very long queue. Considering samurai only takes 500pph(if that) with 30 seats I am almost certain the turbine would not make over that. This would result in a terrible throughput like vortex which now probably only does about 300pph because of the time it takes to start up and stop etc. I can remember at sunscream when vortex had a 90 minute queue for 1 top swing and it was just awful. And the queue length was literally the same length as the samurai queue which was only 30 minutes. If I'm perfectly honest I would much see slammer stay as the ride is so unique and the throughput is much higher. I just love slammer and love to freefall on it, the ride experience is so amazing, I just can't bear to see it go #emotionally attached

Based on year openings, here's park area upgrades, within the last 10 years.
Chessington Zoo-various upgrades. Moving and upgrading animal enclosures plus adding new features and interactions.
Market Square, no upgrade, nothing drastic has changed in the area except the greedy goblin to chicken shack and pizza pasta (formerly Pizza Hut and KFC)
Pirates Cove- no upgrade, little has changed in this area except the removal of peg leg Pete.
Land of the Dragons- no upgrade, but this area is the fourth newest anyway (2nd if you exclude the area rethemes) although those children's attractions could do with being replaced.
Mystic Easy- semi upgrade, we've seen samurai moved down the road and a big wheel take its place. Unfortunately falls has lost most of its theming since opening. This area will likely see a bigger upgrade around 2015.
Transylvania- semi upgrade, we've seen Bubbleworks become the horrible duck inducing ride it is today, although something at will hopefully change in the not to distant future and Mcdonalds become BK and then Burger kitchen which looks ok but doesn't obtain the spooky character of the area. There was also the upgrade of Refresh to Creaky, but sadly it burnt down and little is known what will happen there.
Judging by this year, market Square and Mexicana will get the most TLC in the areas however his unforeseen Transylvania fire may mean that area will need some attention next year.
Mystic East and Pirates above may be on the cards next year.

Plus you won't be able to shop soon without buying SOMETHING that has a Merlin BOGOF voucher (or 20)...
It really is all about making it look like a worthwhile deal... Dread to find out Towers' entry fee though if Thorpe is hitting £48...

Thanks for the review and pictures on the previous page! My gf isn't a coaster fan at all HOWEVER, she wants to go this year purely because a Wallace & Gromit ride exists there. Winner... I've always wanted to go to BPB!
