Like you don't go to Thorpe/Towers/Chessie/etc if you're not gonna ride anything... Is a big selling point that non-riders at Blackpool can get in for £6? Especially given you can play the same style of games on South Pier or in the town of tack itself? If you pay £48 on the gate not to ride anything, then you deserve to lose money...

The height restriction choice will no doubt also have a factor based on the local H&S authority... And any incidents that may be related to it (hence why NWO and Rattlesnake were/are 1.4m)... Down to park preference I'd say as well, Oz'Iris being in Asterix is probably the main reason it is 1.3m, because they wanted to absorb as much of their family market as possible...

It's unlikely that Towers will open later than Thorpe during the same days over holidays or whatever... 6pm during summer/holidays is the best you can hope for... However, for a Friday, don't go in June, it'll be awful and full of burdenous children...

Think it's down to the shape of some of the inversions... Should also increase the overall speed as well, as Wing-Riders are rather heavy, hence their rather 'ponderous' nature at times...

A ride that doesn't invert can also be thrilling... Indeed, the concept of what is thrilling or not changes over time...

Does it HAVE to be something offered by the industry in the public domain now to be a suitable addition? For all we know, Merlin could be doing deals with manufacturers like Tussauds had with B&M and Towers all those years ago which gave us Oblivion and Air, when prior there was nothing like them before (ok, Vekoma had the Flying Dutchman, but Air's technology exceeded that version greatly)... Same thing for Thirteen really... Nothing stopping the park being imaginative and getting something 'under the table' as it were...

Playhouse and Capers' designs is WORSE than Zufari's... A complete waste, especially given the Action Man play area was varied and generally amazing... But it's ok, Chessie knew what they were doing when they installed the disabled lift access for Capers...

I really, REALLY don't understand the obsession with Flappy Bird... Then again, I've been playing Super Mario 3D World recently, which might be a reasoning for my rather uninterested nature towards crappy phone games...

Especially given that to not ride things at Blackpool costs you money... Peer pressure eh? Just buy a wristband, even for two hours it'd be worth the cost...

Spinball's future is a bit up in the air tbh, because of the reasoning given in the aforementioned website... I'd like to see it moved down to Cloud Cuckoo Land just to give people a reason to go there but I believe that would be tricky to do... Besides, would allow a lot of space for something to replace that isn't as noisy or burdenous there... Flume needs to go as well for a better water ride, certainly showing it's age... Couldn't really care less personally about Ripsaw and Blade, but those would be down to age and high maintenance costs should they be removed...
