London 2012 Olympics
To be fair to them though, the judges gave the Ukraines a failed dismount (or whatever it was), so it would've been unfair on Japan to lose out for the same thing... Unlucky for us to have lost out a silver, but oh wells...

Chessington 2013
Problem is that for me, it's too similar to Zafari, granted that's not technically on park, but surely there's a plethora of other potential names? It doesn't have to be short or quirky really, and this name to me just doesn't sound good... Hell just put Safari or Rally in it and then think up something... This is almost Cedar Fair naming style territory it's that bad imo...

That name is just... What? Also, sounds like they got Towers' marketing people on the job with the website Nice to see the first official announcement of it though...

London 2012 Olympics
Mr Bean has been one of the most successful entertainment exports from the UK in an international standpoint... Probably one of the most well recognised thing abroad... Currently watching the Handball... WHAT IS THIS SPORT?

The Swarm
Fun fact, most bolts in the engineering industry are designed to sheer off in case of emergency... This includes aircraft wings and engines... Besides, factor of safety then comes into play... The track will be connected with more bolts than actually needed to ensure safety in case of such an event occurring... So no worries...

London 2012 Olympics
If it came out of tax then I didn't pay for it <3 It was fab, some great British cameos throughout the show, especially the Queen with Daniel Craig and Rowan Atkinson's sequences... The evolution of music sequence was also pretty good as well if only for the music... Bloody hell the country parade is boring though isn't it? But a great way to light the cauldron, shame about Artic Monkeys and McCartney though, where were the official Olympic songwriters dammit (Muse)? Still, very very good and unique to Britain, better than some stolen singing voices and a ton of fireworks... Although it could have been seen as Danny Boyle's Lord of the Rings at times

Air
It depends on how you view how intensity affects a ride though, should someone believe that intensity makes a ride better then they will most likely adore the bigger flyers solely because of their pretzel loops (and in the case of Sky Scrapper/Ripper, the layout in general)... Tatsu for me was awful because of the pretzel loop, way too intense but some will consider it amazing... Manta I'm sure is the same (but at least has an epic looking queue to back it up)... I truly feel sorry for Air because it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets... On the whole it is a very good ride (if tempermental system wise) and provides a great experience to all guests who can go on it...

But the UK market think wooden coasters are unsafe blah-de-blah-de-blah... Tbh, this doesn't look that safe... Lack of really secure looking supports really, so it would never work over here... Need a safe and sucessful wooden coaster option before any park would consider something to the degree of this thing...- Air
When it's compared to the other B&Ms the poor thing is never going to be rated highly... I think enthusiasts also dislike the tameness of the ride, yet to me (and a handful of others) the more intense versions such as Manta or Tatsu are just too much effort and hence not as good as Air... All opinions in the end... But it's a popular ride regardless of what enthusiasts think, like a lot of rides around the world really...- Rita
Thing is, the last Hydraulic launch was built 3 years ago... Maybe Intamin just realised that the system is potentially flawed with nearly 50% of the total 14 currently in operation have had some form of incident... Electromagnetics for the win!- Rita
TTD and Xcelerator incidents would say otherwise... If the cable has snapped then one end will go to the drum as per normal, but the other will end up elsewhere due to the lack of momentum it'll encounter after the split... It's hard to explain by word but it's basically ends up being two parts going in opposite directions, hence why one end will be left out in the open... It's yet another black mark on Intamin's record... Maybe they should move onto mass producing LSM launches now? More iSpeeds less snapping cables...- Rita
A pic if anyone wants further proof... OH INTAMIN- The Big Bad Movie Topic
Dark Knight Rises BANE HATHAWAY Great film, and rounds off the Nolan trilogy nicely... A shame to see the end of it, but, I'd rather them not constantly splurge them out (although there will no doubt be a reboot soon) Need to watch it again to give a full on result though... But I can't wait, it's THAT DAMN GOOD- Six Flags Magic Mountain
This is with the revamp? Ew... I went years ago now... It is certainly a weird park... Some parts are nice (especially around the mountain) but other parts are just plain awful...- Rant
Hypocrisy, it's not for everyone...- The Swarm

You REALLY should've paid more attention to my trip report last year then... Coaches EVERYWHERE! (including from London to Paris)- Storm Surge
There's one at Hansa Park (with Rainbow Lift) and Parc Asterix (with Glorious Moustache) at least, plenty of this ride type exist over the world... Unfortunately, Storm Surge is the only one that had absolutely no thought or effort put into it's design and construction... Indeed, it would have fitted into Legoland Florida so much more... Why they bothered, I have no idea...- Storm Surge
^Yes, because fixing that alone would stop Storm Surge from becoming an eye sore...- The Swarm
Just need to add stuff to the OLDER rides to make them look as new as they did when they originally opened now... I never really had a problem with the Swarm area anyways... Dunno what this could be really but hopefully this will be a precursor to Merlin seeing that they need to upkeep the rides after opening, rather than let them rot and rust... - Parks, Rides And Coaster News
