What's going on at the end of that lift hill? Is the drive for it on the ground and pulled all the way from down there. Odd.

The great thing about detonator is the actual feeling of dropping, the theming adds very little to the actual ride and is only present to tie it in to what is around it. Sticking a birds nest on top and some characters around it will make no difference at all, only maybe the audio changing could have a detrimental effect but there's no reason that can't be done well. I don't really see how this could leave it 'ruined'.

A well placed IP that fits the family target if you ask me. Only concern would be its limited life, it has already peaked, hasn't it?

No. There are plans, it's not on them. Toadstool is stripped to nothing regularly. It seems no one here gives much of a crap about this development, without a mention Towers have been announcing the line up since the weekend... Mr Tumble / Something Special Mr Blooms Allotment In the Night Garden Nina's Science Lab Don't want to be negative before we've seen what they've actually done but this is looking less and less interesting to me. The channel has a selection of puppet/cartoon characters to chose from and they go for the human person options? They can create the in the night garden character costumes and models and to kids they are the real one, but all the others rely on the real actor who clearly won't be there in person so it will be video or cardboard cutouts. It'll be no more special to the kids than seeing them on the TV and internet. Seems like really strange choices to me.

I last rode towards the end of '12 so maybe they've fixed it then!

It bloody well is! Near the back is vile, the front is still worse than all the others you've listed.

I'm well aware that I am earning a reputation akin to Slammer for reliability, but I can't make this now. Just realised that the date clashes with tickets for a night out that my wife got me as a Birthday present. I could still go, but as it would result in divorce I better not. Next time...

The Vortex incident from above is still rumbling on, one of the injured remains in hospital with spine and brain injuries. The owners have been indicted for over riding the safety systems allowing this to happen, and for some reason the ride is still sitting in situ for evidence to be gathered. On Christmas Eve in Illinois a Zamperla Demolition Derby (teacups) malfunctioned causing minor injuries to 7, can only presume it stopped rather suddenly. And a very interesting article covering incidents on the rides of Southern California. Things aren't really that bad as they count people complaining of nausea and motion sickness as injury, but it still gives a good idea of what goes on. They even have the actual incident reports for each individual occurrence, there's tonnes of it but it is fascinating.

If installed and used properly bose speakers don't just break, not for many years.
-
I thought it was a nice expensive bose system, but they just broke it/didn't install it properly? Shoddy from start to finish, there should be LOTS of things changed/fixed/improved by the time the new season comes around, I have zero confidence that there will be though. They're are probably still arguing about whose fault it was and so who should pick up the bill for the substantial amount of money that still needs to be thrown at it.

Make sure the photos are not set to private. On photobucket use the second link down of the list of four to the right of the picture, marked 'Direct'. On your post here click the little thing that looks like a picture underneath the smiley and paste the link there. If that doesn't do it it'll need someone more tecy than me!

Which is a shame really, isn't it? I thought the point was who was the best new member on the forums, not who is everyones friend off of them. Oh wells.

I thought the MoS price would increase. I think every one of the events sold out(?) last year so it's kind of inevitable until they find how much people are prepared to pay and they stop selling out. To be honest they are quality nights and worth every penny. The full gate price and voucher structure is mental, but I've said enough about that.

I'll join in with the Sloth backgrounds then Is this right?

All the land the Merlin parks sit on (except Lego?) are owned by Nick Leslau and leased to Merlin. I'm sure they have covered things contractually but as the land owner I bet there is a way he could 'evict ' them if he really wanted to.

In deadpan posts it is hard to know where jokes begin and end but I do hope you are not suggesting that Deans posts do bring quality down, I'd say quite the opposite. Quality and quantity is possible you know.
-
I would imagine that all the major coasters will operate until a time that either Merlin or it's future owners go bankrupt, a major disaster such as land movement, floods or war destroys the parks, Nick gets bored with his rent and sells the land from underneath them or a fatality or like incident on one of them makes it seem right to get rid. There is no reason why they can't run indefinitely if they are looked after properly and are given a realistic and regular maintenance budget. Things have come a long way since even the likes of corkscew, which could have carried on if Alton could have been bothered with it, and the 100 year plus woodies still operating show that even a much less durable construction can go on all the time it is looked after. X and fish may well go at some point when the space is needed or they are neglected into a big spend requirement to fix them up, but without even a current mtdp to look at any sort of guesses are pissing in the wind really.

... or go in September instead. Screw that.

Anyone that has a reason to actually watch Cebeebies, are there any clues for IPs being used in this pic? For some reason to me this looks like some sort of family euthanasia land, walking off into the light like at the end of a film where someone has been stuck in purgatory.
