I've added a further option that might prove useful...

The 'old layout' just bolted together and can be put straight back as was with little effort. To build a new framework would take a lot of effort. Helpful guide to the last 20 pages... 1) ZOMG! Asylum is the best maze, it better not go. 2) ZOMG! Asylum is going, it better stay the same or frightnights will be rubbish. 3) ZOMG! Studio13 is coming, it better be nothing like Asylum.

My wife's the same! I say she's not left or right handed, she's cack handed. Looks so awkward with cutlery.

Oh dear... http://m.yorkpress.co.uk/news/11500940.Rollercoaster_riders_see_deer_killed_by_ride_at_Lightwater_Valley/h

To be fair, if Towers got their 1001 back crack one out I'd be pretty excited. It is a hell of a ride. Maybe not quite that exited though.

I get what you are saying, but what do they have to gain by doing the work now in any situation? They prefer doing work like this when the park is closed as it is just logistically easier and they can make a mess. When the clearance is finished they still can't build anything until planning is approved, so the site will just sit there for the couple of month that it takes from posting. It isn't giving them the chance to get ahead on anything and is a small site that wouldn't take long to clear when they do need to get going. The effort now does not make sense to me unless they want the space now, which would have to be something small and temporary that doesn't require planning. Hello fright nights! This is all just guess work on my part.

Nice site, shows how many things Merlin put on for Halloween. I must try the Warwick Castle event one of these years.

I know I'm not target demographic, but it would be nice if they got some people I'd actually heard of (alongside nurturing new 'talent') for these things. The x factor reject circuit is not something I'd like to see brought to the park, it just comes across as cheap and tacky.

You would do very well not to talk about rumours you hear as fact like this, whether or not you believe them. It is not helpful, causes confusion and eventually makes people look stupid. Until planning happens nothing is 'designated' to anywhere. What is strange is for work like this to start with no planning submitted first. Even if the trees are not subject to preservation orders I can't think of a time Thorpe have done anything of any note without us seeing plans submitted first, to put effort like this in on speculation that planning would be granted later seems a bit of a risk. For that reason I would guess that this is site clearance only and not in preparation for anything permanent. Why they would do that I don't know, something temporary for fright nights maybe, or simply something like some diseased trees they're trying to stop spreading. My guess, which I have completely pulled out if my arse, is Blair Witch camping, or whatever it is themed to. But without seeing any planning first I think people are jumping waaaaay ahaead to unrealistic conclusions about what this small work on a small sight means.

Sure I've heard this before somewhere!...

HOW DARE THEY! For the kiddies here that don't know it, the sample (and only redeeming feature) of that song is the mighty Toms Diner by Suzanne Vega... Such a tune.

And no mention of Dr Who anywhere! It says it all that the survey asks about themes and IP's, but does not touch on what sort of actual ride people want. Doesn't matter if the actyal ride is very good or popular as long as you can market it, eh?

If I knew what that was I might be upset at missing out, but I don't so I'm not!

Why not? I went to William Edwards in Grays. And what?!

I get what you're saying about getting to try a couple of different bits, but for the cost it's hard to make the buffet decent value compared to other on park options without going for it a bit. I've only buffeted once in a park. Never again!

There is a discussion, but not a decision...

1 - everyone's favourite eatery should be relish and roast!

Hmm, seems like a case of act like an adult first to then get treated like an adult. Having said that I doubt whether my parents could remember what I looked like when I was 16, so unlucky. My rant; been off work on some nice saved up leave for very nearly a month, back in tomorrow. Hurumph.

Really? I thought Pizza Hut had some sort of crazy lease on it that Thorpe couldn't get out of?

One day we shall finally meet and I will claim my pint shaped prize! Anyway, to The Swarm. I love it.

So it wouldwseem, but is there any need for Racers with Test Track around the corner? Shame, studio tours can and should be very good and obvs suit a studios park. Would rather see a much improved version of the same rather than lose it altogether.

So they have enough room to work on the backwards seats of course...
-
With some awesome throughputs.

Sorry, that still does not matter. I don't know how else to explain it. 10 people in a train of X 28 people in a train of Swarm Does X dispatch a vehicle 3 times every time The Swarm dispatches one? No. It matters not a jot how many people are in the ride at any one time (how many trains there are), only how many are carried out of that station (how many trains are dispatched). X is a slower ride with blocks so more trains can in there at one time, not more dispatched.

I can't fathom the money people spend on this stuff. It's mental, and infuriating when those same people moan about how poor and hard done by they are while frittering away such amounts of money on what is absolutely an extravagance, not a necessity. My Samsung s3mini makes calls and texts, browses the internet and downloads stuff for me to use and watch later when I'm at home on wifi. What more do you need that could ppossibly be worth the hundreds and hundreds of pounds extra? Suckers! Edit - hahahahaha
