  1. Good to see the media doing their jobs then. This incident couldn't be more Blackpool. With having people break into the park, operate a ride and be unnoticed for half an hour.
  2. Sounds like Tonnere De Zeus has a lot to live upto then when I visit (possibly summer 2017), especially with the good reviews it's been getting.
  3. 5 hour queue for Frozen? I'm surprised it's not longer. Think I'll let it go, down before queuing for that.
  4. RMC are on fire at the moment! Someone out them out. No seriously, we need This sorted out as burning coasters is the least we need.
  5. There are plenty of tests happening right now. Millions of school kids are currently taking their G.C.S.E's and A levels which many have a stressful time ahead. Don't know anything about the ghost train though, so that could be shut until next Christmas for all we know.
  6. The Merlin Annual Pass allows entry to the following attractions including Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Chessington and Legoland Windsor. It also allows entry to the London Eye, Sea Life Centre & Sanctuaries, Dungeon attractions, Shreks Adventure and The Blackpool. If if any of the above attractions interest you and intend to visit at least 3/4 times it is worth the money.
  7. You'll love it Pluk. Europa is an Amazing place to visit.
  8. That has definitely given me the incentive to go and visit Bakken. How Sanbrooke found that place enjoyable is beyond words. Bottom coaster rides for me are: Big One- apart from the drop and riding at night, it's dull, boring and a little painful. No silver star by any means. Tokaido Tivoli World- the ride is as slow as it is painful, 5 laps of uncomfortable boring pain on a circuit that makes the Flying Fish look good. Mad Mouse Great Yarmouth- looks dull, rides dull. It's dull. Rita- it's Rita but it hasn't been riding as badly lately as it used to. So does it even deserve to still be on the list, even if it is Tower's weakest coaster. Dreading the likes of Baco and stampida right now.
  9. Paris looks a loverly a city to visit, definitely need to go there for a cultural trip at some point (not just for Disney). Asterix claims sanctuary towards the upper end of list to do. Summer 2017 hopefully as I've passed an idle Oziris too many times without riding. They are also building a new coaster for 2017 but will see. I just love parks like this. How did Zeus compare to Wodan btw?
  10. Thorpe retaining lions gate? Well that was highly surprising. Platform 15 sounds interesting though, and could well be open before the ride itself for all we know.

    Legoland

Most likely. Longboat Invader is being relocated to make space whilst spinning spider will apparently be rethemed. Loki's is likely to close September. I can see this having a May opening if they don't have any hiccups.
  12. Can't wait until this opens next year. I'm actually wondering whether this attraction will be mostly screen based or wether it's going to feature traditional animatronics. Maybe both. Ride area does look small, could there be the possibility of the ride being on different levels. I do wonder with the facade expecting to be massive.
  13. Despite the debatable blandness of that announcement, backing up Pluk's point. I would much rather have that than a themed announcement which as mentioned could do more harm than good. A basic announcement is much better than 56 people burning to death.
  14. Saw says hi my last ride was about as comfy as a hangover
  15. Sorry not interested. Notify me when they finally open that Zamperla Wooden Coaster they were supposed to get 10 years ago.
  16. Hotel guests going on first? Oh well there's goes our hopes in trying to ride it first. Might as as well just wait until 2018 now.

    Legoland

Legoland's problem is planning due to its location. This is with the park being in the middle of a forested area and green belt and a number of locals oppose the park's busyness and expansion plans. On a contradictory note, the Ninjago area was recently approved (source Southparks) which means the park should be getting a much needed dark ride and E-ticket attraction. Fans of Amazing Mazes, Loki's Labarinth, I would suggest visiting the park soon as I reckon part of the Vikings area will close September to allow for construction.
  18. Some members may be overjoyed if this turns out to be a tuned ticket booth. That's one journey I suppose.
  19. I believe it was the one about the demolition of Atlantis (not being in a good positive light) and something about Adele saying something about management or something. Thats what the linked articles in the article suggest anyway.
  20. Definitely a strict highly overreactive move from the park. Then again seeing what backlash our parks have gone through you can't really blame them. Alvey says hi.
  21. TBH people have been told off for trying to take pictures outside the attraction, let alone trying to sneak a go pro onboard. If overreacting to things was a degree, Merlin would have a PHD there.
  22. That's highly surprising. I honestly thought someone like Thorpe would tell us everything that's happening when you asked them on social media. Next thing you know, they won't you tell why a ride is closed if it's unavailable. They won't give you answers I'm afraid.
  23. Loggers Leap I get the impression we don't know whether Merlin want it dead or alive. So I think this makes sense, plus it used to play in the surrounding area too.
  24. Well nothing says recent more than an absent billboard.
  25. Plopsaland are planning to build an onsite hotel, which will open Christmas 2017. Looks fab, judging from the concept art. Definitely need to visit here in the near future.
