  1. It makes me really sad that Swarm's 100% attendance is no more . Must be something major for it to be closed. Bravo Slammer though. You've broken the mould of past seasons, don't mess up mid season.
  2. Lots of nice touches on this facade. Although I'm glad they went for a theme different from recent additions.

"Awaits Pluk's raging post about H&S" It's been a while
  4. Nah Flambards sounds better tbh.Back on track! Park hours have now been announced. The hours for when we will be visiting will be: Saturday the 28th May 9am-8pm Sunday the 29th May 9am-7:30pm Monday the 30th May 9am-6pm Some good park hours here. Another thing to remember is, these are minimal park closings which means if the park is busier on any selected days, they can expand park closing if there's need. May be worth looking here if anyone going/planning to wants some advice on going. https://towersstreet.com/talk/threads/park-hours.3774/
  5. Still, it's pretty impressive when you consider how large the building actually is. This'll probably be universal's best new ride outside of the Potter additions they've had for a while.
  6. I'd say stop playing the IAC altogether as the Inferno theme is a superior theme tune.

Safe to say Paultons is probably the best UK park now.
  8. Seems like a great start to the year then. Least it can't be as bad as 2011's preview day ugh.

Maybe I should become Matt Old Town
  10. I think it's safe to say Paultons are on to a winner with this new area. It appears to be one of the best themed/immersive themed areas of a UK park of modern times.
  11. It seems to be Lionsgate will be doing another 3 years, to an extent. As long as the new Mazes are good and Cabin sees some updates the event should be great. I did find the mazes get a bit stale last year in all honesty though.
  12. Everything I've heard about Tomb's touch ups seems to be mixed and contradictory. I've heard some people saying the ride looks so much better, there's more atmosphere and all the effects bar the boulder have been fixed. Then I hear others saying it's been a wasted opportunity, things still broken and the ride wasn't worth the effort. As someone who's yet to experience Tombs V2, I can't make head or tail of this until April.
  13. Appears to be the best state the ride has been in for a long time. At least since 2008 time anyway.

Canada Creek is no more. I'm officially homeless. Should I change my tpm name?
  15. Canada Creek is no more. I'm officially homeless!

  16. That's a bloody good waterfall!

The state of Loggers for 2016. Courtesy of TPM. Least they've concealed it with a nice'ish fence. This reminds me of DLP's BTM for some reason though.
  18. The building looks nice. However the paving outside leaves a lot to be desired, almost as if there's been a train crash out there. Maybe that's the point.
  19. safe to say 2016 isn't a great year to visit towers with a family around the 7-12 age group. With three staple attractions closed (one permanently) and another supporting, the lineup is pretty limited. The only attractions left for families too old CBEebies but too young for the thrill rides, the line up will only consist of: Runaway Mine Train Congo River Rapids Duel Spinball Toadstall Battle Galleons Sky Ride Marauders Blade Ice Age, Enterprise & Thirteen (at a push) That makes a total of 12 rides (of a previous offering of 16), so the line up there is comparatively weak at least for 2016. Even Thorpe now has a better selection of older family rides now, unless Galsctica's HR drops to 1.3 or something. Merlin do need to get out of this 'reduce park offerings if we have an unsuccessful year' thing though. 2016 will be a bizarre year to say the least.

From the mess there previously, the wood tunnel looks better. The quirky signs give it more character and hopefully the themed vines will improve area relations.
  21. I'm not visiting the park! Because I'm at home. Didn't see this coming!
  22. It's the Merlin approach though. The price includes marketing, planning, removal of what was there before and basically anything that has related to the creation of Galactica & The Coaster Restaurant.
  23. I'm gonna need to control my hype for a while until I find the American Dream. Corrected
  24. 2014 TEA figures for Uk parks were Towers 2.6M [although I've heard they actually got nearer 3.0M Legoland 2.2M Thorpe 2.1M Chessington 1.6M I can only estimate the figures in the 2015 publishing will be: Towers 1.8-2.0 [estimated drop of 20-30% Legoland 2.2M [similar level to previous year] Thorpe 1.9M-2.0 [8-15% reduction] Chessington 1.7 [only park I reckon that will see growth from 2015 figures] other figures will likely remain similar except Efteling may overtake Tivoli, Europa had a slightly growth and DLP had a slight drop again.
