If I were Thorpe I would have a doctor on site to permission genuine need for a RAP. The system is clearly abused and to the point of making it a bad day experience for the genuinely disabled in having to join long RAP queues, I feel really bad for those guys. For too long the idea of not all disabilities being visible has been used as a cover for a cheap alternative to fast track. Next time you go to Thorpe do a little bit of people watching and you will see a sea of yellow bands everywhere.
  3. Does Ferrari land seriously clash with Porta Adventura theme? I would assume they are building a mega resort to entice visitors to stay over the night.
  4. Somehow I think Josh is more than qualified to talk about travelling to European parks.
  5. Towers did Stargazing pods for the budget consumer these don't look very budget friendly. Park is overlooked as they don't market to the UK. Simple.

https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/1235972495/ they come around every 6 months or so....
  7. Personally I think this article is a tonne of BS and more of an opinion piece from someone who was probably jealous they didn't get an invite to the press preview. Remember most of these park run off guest satisfaction KPI ratings and the last thing they want is bad reviews on trip adviser. I would be very interested to see if the marketing and operations teams even work that closely together to conjour up a plan for a bad user experience to create a 10 hour queue.

  9. Personally, I really enjoyed this attraction. Would be happy to see it made permanent as a break in the day.
  10. Oh, how I love when people write articles and slap in a graph of data with no sources...
  11. Then that brings up the simple question of which came first the locals or the themepark attraction.
  12. The meet organizer should be allowed to make digs when wanting too...
  13. But wouldn't that extra visitation from the new attractions be a welcome addition for the local economy, food outlets, Band B's for example?
  14. Been a while since we've been in this thread. https://news.sky.com/story/teen-injured-after-fairground-ride-comes-loose-on-brighton-palace-pier-11688018
  15. In terms of safety however... I would personally like to go on Black Buccaneer when it's ready rather than a ride that's been put up overnight by potentially tired engineers in the dark without rigorous safety measures.

Maybe it was her first day? Did you not have to learn on your first day at Thorpe? Also, suicide is no joke.
  17. Only disappointment for me was the rollovers restaurant. Firstly discribed as a subway style pick your toppings ending up being here have some nacho cheese sauce over everything. Plus the chilli one didn’t even use real chilli con carne just a sauce?!?
  18. Still don't get this, money grabbing argument. An Annual pass for any of the theme parks will cost you £50-£80, so overall admission has been getting cheaper especially now with the pay monthly scheme. Look at any other park season pass Blackpool (£100), Paultons (£125), Drayton Manor (£110) and you would see the value of both the Merlin pass and theme park passes have exceptional value. Once in the parks, customers are literally taking hotdogs in flasks to save money but yet are expecting Wickerman style projects of investment into the parks on a yearly basis and still are saying everything's overpriced, even with all there discounts applied.
  19. Very strange. I would expect it to be one of the worst of the Dungeons brand considering that it is not standalone. However, going into an attraction with the mindset of looking for every blackwall possible, rather than where the show lights want you to focus, to slate the attraction is not the mindset of a regular guest rather one just looking to find every negative in an attraction they don't want to like from the outset. All reviews I have seen from day guests have been quite positive so far. The attraction itself is not needless, it adds to the Alton Towers RESORT portfolio, of things for hotel guests to do whilst enjoying their short break, also have you considered that extra ticketing revenue could be used to develop future projects?

On monster houses warehouse are we considering it from a kid perspective maybe the warehouse is not as viewable from their line of sight?
  21. I have no problem with it. At the end of the day it's a preview day, perhaps this year they have taken the option of renting the park out for a day instead.
  22. People do work in other parts of the business. Not every cleaner or back office staff is a trained ride operator.
