  1. Have we considered a Derren Brown parkwide take over yet? I find Derren's voice to be quite creepy as it is. He could just be saying random quotes over the PA system. And there would be large room for potential. Has the Lionsgate contract been confirmed?

  2. I don't quite understand why the gift shop has opened before the ride? Money Making obviously, but it's strange as I don't think a ride shop has ever opened before the ride in the past?

Some sort of marketing ploy possibly? Just look at all the detail within the shop. Who wouldn't want to go back to ride the ride?

  3. I've just bought a TP AP with the intention of my first visit being 6th May. Can I get the pass issued at another Merlin attraction such as The Dungeons, or does it have to be TP? I just don't wanna queue forever at the annual pass booth on 6th May. As this is the opening day for the Ghost Train, it'll likely be pretty busy.

Anybody able to (big red) shed any light?

    Camp overnight.

  4. Still, it's pretty impressive when you consider how large the building actually is. This'll probably be universal's best new ride outside of the Potter additions they've had for a while.

On that point, is the building/ track length really that long if it stays at the same size/ scale of the outdoor track.

I may be wrong here but how much track does that building fit?

  5. I seem to have made my mind up on Ritas work too quickly. Now I have found out they didn't even remove the scaffolding, they have just tried and cover it up, my opinion of the work has gone even lower. All they would have needed was a little bit more money and they could have had a nice looking solution. Instead we have a wooden fence with some vines and some tacky signs on it. However what makes me even more annoyed is that people seem to be happy and content with it.

The scaffolding is there for H&S reasons. What would you prefer? The scaffolding or no Rita. I shall let you decide.

In my opinion, the fences look good and a  nice way for towers to hide the queue length.

  6. I don't mean to be negative... the ride has good potential with some great set pieces and scenes... But 850k spent, and what I experienced today was terrible, majority of targets lit up but not working, a whole section with the boulder off / not working, photo section at the end not working and no notable scene changes... Got to commend them on the general upkeep of the ride with the newly repainted scenes and better consistent loudness of speakers and sound effects, (though still too quiet), and the guns feel nice heavy and targets look alright... But as they're just plonked on themeing the black cable wires are showing on quite a few places. So my verdict even if they fix the few bugs which are possibly expected near the beginning... Was it worth 850k... No way near worth that much (though before I get slated, I imagine some of that was spent on other things not noticeable like to the building itself and H&S etc..)

.Maybe your aim just needs a little improvement

Remember guys this is a preview. Maybe the attraction isn't at 100% yet.

  7. Come on guys give the name old town a chance. It certainly lives up to it's name.

It's got a 27 year old SBNO log flume. - That certainly sounds old to me.

It's got an old train track which is not used anymore.

It's got a rocky express which also seems quite old.

Therefore I think we should credit and appreciate Thorpes new name choice for Canada Creek.

  8. I hope they do, and if part of this experience is actor led it will be interesting to see how long Thorpe keep this up. They will no doubt cut the actors from the experience at some point, but I hope I'm wrong.

My estimation, by the end of season

I think there will definitely be more than one season of hype around this attraction. No need for actors to be cut.
