Really inconsistent music... And lots of sections and individual lights not working

Well no one knows exactly what it's going to be like... Just speculating as it could be different scenes as you are going through a movie set?

As someone who's terrified of these mazes... The free roam cabin in the woods was my favourite. I also found Saw to be really good last year which is conga line. I think it's good to vary the form of the mazes which thorpe seem to have done well

I'm going on the 21st... I went a similar time last year, and besides the smiler which probably had a 2 hour queue, carnival of screams had like a half hour queue (although that's no longer there and scarezones have more people throughput generally, so max 5 mins I'm guessing), and all the other rides were minimal queues, up to half hour at the most!

24th is the friday schools break up for half term... not the end? ^^ So I'm guessing if you had to go any time in the half term, then would be the time to go.

I don't remember there being any air or water when I visited last week... but there was definitely speakers behind you with the monster, with back pokers - didn't feel the leg ticklers though?

The ride cycle slows down half way through, although the spinning remains constant and then goes back to full height again... I think they should have changed the direction of the spinning in that bit half way - can KMG's do that? I've seen a 4 arm one before stop spinning while swinging and pretty sure it did change direction.

If say a ride is to go there... If it's kept below a certain height/size or ends up being indoors, does it need planning permission, or can wait as late as possible as they know they will almost guaranteed to be allowed permission?

So went last night, and did have a great time... + Wipeout the 24 seater version of vortex spins a bit too quickly but at least it means you get a lot of time around the top, plus the angle it goes up, and the length of the cycle is amazing (as I find vortex a little bit too short). + their extreme ride was closed the last time I went... At least now it goes both ways round rather than having a very repetitive ride. + very quiet, although can become a bad thing having to wait for other people to ride before they decide to start the ride. - Got stuck in the brake run on astro storm for a couple of minutes - Speed Wave is no longer there... so much for new for 2014!? Some of the staff were friendly and others were damn right miserable! I find they run their flat rides a bit too long... Now I can cope with spinny rides on a theme park setting but run at the length of these I literally want to be sick

Well yeah but that was a second hand piece of crap / mistake. A new ride you'd expect something with decent (ish) capacity for a theme park as busy as a merlin one.

I really wanna see Gerstlauer Sky Fly or Roller! Although don't think the throughput would be suited to thorpe... I've seen videos and the interactive element makes the ride look like it's going to be amazing!

I like intamin zacspin... But yeah either sound good to me if not a top spin (which I genuinely want to see)!

This closure of flying fish is surely down to the rumoured February opening? Needing to get the maintenance done in time. I also personally would love to see them liven up flying fish a bit like with the scorpion express treatment... Add an interactive fish in the middle and actually add the pond with water features Neptune's beach is still quite a popular area. Although I don't think anything should be added (or removed) as I doubt it will be around in the next say 5 years as it will probably make way for a future big development, although it's surprising how much other space thorpe have available considering its small size.

I'm not saying rita is smooth... but I honestly don't see how that is possible

I've always had a little soft spot for Rita, although it isn't really anything special... It just became amazing today, probably my best ride of the day, although saying that all the rides were running amazingly well (not including breakdowns lol) today in comparison to past visits. So probably my best visit to Alton yet this year

So much love for Rita today... 3 rides, 2 front & 1 back... All amazing, pretty smooth (well as smooth as intamin get lol), and just felt really forceful and kept it's speed through the whole ride which I've never felt before... Hmm!

It was on two trains when I retuned near the end of the day! Was annoyed to see air on one station, two trains all day which kept itself at a nice 20 minute queue when the rest of the park was mostly walk on or 5 mins.

Got on sky ride about 5 to 11 which was good park pretty quiet today... Rita on 2 trains, 13 on 3 trains, so besides nemesis all on full capacity really.

So almost 11am and no ripsaw and nemesis sub Terra!?

So nemesis is on one train operation... Yes it's ERT and it's quiet, but what's going on Alton towers!!
