Talocan is a great experience, but you have to be immune to many things, including: Lot' of smoke. Thick smoke. Impossible to breath for a good amount of time during the ride. Lot's of foreign noise, blasted loudly through speakers situated at some points just a couple metres in front of you. Fire. Oh wait. More spins then Rameses Half the seating, is poor seating. The experience on the back is pretty dire to that of the front. And then, of course, to pull that off, what we call a good, topspin, you'll need: An interactive queue line An indoor queue line A well managed queue line An Interesting queue line A plotful queue line. A short, queue line. A huge shell to cover half the ride in 'theming' A customised soundtrack Lots of effects for an 'immersive' experience Characters portrayed throughout the journey through the queue line and ride experience Interlocking themes Good maintenance Oh wait, we're talking about thorpe. The only thing they could do there is the 9th one, and it'd only work every 2 cycles. I love topspins but it just wouldn't work at Thorpe.

Haha, that's why it's a guilty pleasure. I used to be a die hard punk rock fan, but that part mostly died in me 4 or 5 years ago. I don't agree with alot of the lyrics, find some of the mosh sections bad, but I still think the song is good

Inferno xd Anyway, Whilst I don't at all expect it to be an SFX coaster, (after interviews with Wardley revealed that Big ride developments can take up to 5 years to produce) here is a new video of all the options on a Dynamic attractions SFX coaster, along with an interesting interview afterwards. (Just to get some hopes up maybe xD)

1989 - March 16th. It was my birthday today. I know I haven't updated this in ages, but I felt like I needed to again. I went to my friends house again today. He gave me a present, I gave him hugs, we both walked down to the manor together. It was freezing! Literally, the temperature was sub zero.. My camera being not a great one doesn't work efficiently in the cold, so the pictures come out all grey and bluey. Surprisingly, (we're guessing because of the long busy road up; ) there was very little to stop us from entering the park. We suspect it's probably very busy most days so you'd be easily spotted, but work must've mostly been called off because of the harsh weather. The manor is very intimidating when up close! The ticket booths we think, the roof bits near wear I took this, will probably be entrance booths? We walked right up to the mansion, and peeped round the corner.. It seems one of the old summer houses is being renovated. I wonder what it's gonna be? This picture pleased me a lot. The thick foliage coming up the drive didn't reveal anything, so we only saw stuff as we got onto the literally brown site. The intamin structure is complete, and my source from the library said the cars would be arriving at any time! Me and my friend sat down to have lunch in front of the manor, in it's shadow. The park already looked great considering it was supposed to be a 2 year long project and it was barely 5 months in. But when we got out our sandwiches an young man with a pipe came marching out of the manor and started yelling at us. We got up, and ran. PT2 Sometime soon probably.

I'm not denying the fact it was great, but whereas before Zimmer would elaborate on a melodic tool, I.E POTC, he now just uses it over and over. This may be the directors choice but I prefer variation if possible. The use of one chord on an organ building up and up was used multiple times, and unlike in this piece, full of melodies that work together brilliantly and have a full variation, the ones used in the movie were very basic. They worked, sure, but more variation I thought would have been nice. He's also done this recently in Spiderman 2.

There's also a red arrow's simulator in the air craft museum in Birmingham (?)

Tuesday - Hottest record in the world right now This has only appeared in the last month or so, and Cornflakes and I had a big debate as to if it was appropriate to the film. I am a huge fan of trailer music, in particular IMAScore, TSFH and Hans Zimmer, however I thought the ST's Zimmer wrote for interstellar were very repetitive, something that he has become more so recently. Bergeson, the composer for TSFH, however, wrote the actual trailer music, which I personally find absolutely inspiring and phenomenal compared to the OST's by Zimmer for the same movie. In case you haven't already, get some money and go watch interstellar. Good movie, with a controversial ending. Very epic

MONDAY - First record ever bought. I still remember the first song I ever bought. I mean, you don't forget that kind of thing. Especially when your parents embarrassingly film it so the instant you forget they flash a dodgy video at you again and make you red. (Good ol' HMV) I was overjoyed to see them perform again a couple weeks ago, in the name of charity. Whilst the first song I bought may not have been a record, and it wasn't a single either, it was the first song I distinctly remember skipping through the disk for. This song still sounds great to me xD

Hi everyone. I just thought I'd show you some documents from our infinitely famous 'Edward Ponds' Park! I've loved this park, and visited it many times, and stumbled upon some old fan made media about it's development. I'll post them appropriately in months. Lets begin! 1988 - November 22nd Hi there. I'm Toby. My friends call me tram though. I don't know why, but I think it's something to do with Thomas the Tank Engine..? Anyway, I'm insane about theme parks, but living in Canterbury I'm so far away from them all.. So I was so excited to see intamin lorries drive through the area. My friend who lives near this Tordale guy, in the town of Dunkirk said he was turning his gardens into a theme park.. I couldn't believe that, so I asked to go down to his house and check it out. I'm fortunate enough to have a Dad who works with satellite technology or something? I've never paid much attention to what he does, but I could see the huge amount of space this rich guy owns. We decided to wonder down to the plot of land, and spotted a billboard just at the lands boundary with planning permissions and stuff. I didn't have my camera with me as my mum thought I'd brake it, so I looked in the council archives and libraries and found a man who had also been interested in the park, highlighting satellite media with information. I had no idea where he got his information wrong, but he showed me this. Apparently the red area represents the new roads that'll be built for it, the grey area the car park, the black area is the manor house, and the green area is protected land, the yellow area is private land which may be bought. The blue area, is the area with the go ahead for development. The man continued to talk to me, explaining how he'd been talking to some of the developers from both Tordale Manor and the ride manufacturers, and was explaining what things would be where. I was so confused as to if he was being truthful or if he was lying, but nothing pointed either way. The only evidence he had was in his hands, but at the same time it all made sense, so I got a copy of the satellite image and ran home, and highlighted it myself to the best of my memory on what the man said. No way near as professional as his, I know, but I tried to sketch out the general areas he showed me, and fill in the blanks. The red area in the park area was supposed to be a morer-sunee or something? A new company which apparently does crazy rides. Either that, or left for a vineyard or zoo. The dark blue areas are currently being sunk in as ponds. In the image above you can see the land is fairly flat, but Mr. Tordale asked for the park to be landscaped well, to make the experience more sectioned, and interesting. The green area is what intamin is currently developing. I'm looking forward to that! The brown area is a dutch company called vek-ohma or something. Apparently they will be placing a clone there due to short funding. Surprised Mr. Manor man has ran out of money already.. The area south of the red dot will be hotels if all goes well, and the yellow area with yellow dashes will be a man made wood. For now, it's very bare. The yellow areas with black dashes are areas owned by others? I dunno, and finally the yellow area on it's own is protected land. It's so inconsistent. Oh, I forgot to post a picture of the manor! It's very big..

I guess cos I'm small, I've never had several rough circuits on saw. Infact I've only had one rough circuit ever, and that was last day of season. That's the same with Colossus, only ever had one tremendously painful circuit, normally can bare it. Even Rita I don't find too bad. The smiler killed me though. I don't like the smilers roughness.

Better leave this here, couldn't find a more relevant thread to be honest... Confused? Surprised? Excited? I don't know to be honest but TOMORROWLAND-THE MOVIE OMG

All of this discussion has made it clear to me that the ride should be replaced with a zacspin.
-
To be fair that's like saying 'Oh we should get an RMC next year!' er... no. 'We should get the old vampire cars back!' er... no. 'Zacspin to replace Storm surge!' er... no. the risk is always there, and whilst people say it's more likely to happen at a fair ground, it could still happen anywhere. here are some ideas that I'd like to see, but because of accidents, what you're saying is they won't happen. But that's wrong. Your argument deemed invalid

But all the character has been removed! I am not saying the new design is bad, but the first design would have atleast been nice to see in person, with theming and all.

Rammy looks so good in it's old glory days. Man I wish I got into theme parks earlier. It looks crap now compared to how it looks in some of the footage there.

OMG Cornflakes xD Last day of season, bought a couple ORPs this year, and just wanted to make people laugh and have a bit more fun in the day, seeing as people had visited the park 10 odd times this year already. Just to clarify I am not mentally unstable. Wait that's a lie. Trying to look caj in the back. Had a bit too much to drink.. On the nice side of tipsy town. I just don't know what the hell this was. Nearly forgot this one. The restraint punched me in the face, I mean, come on! Sorry Jack and Phill for ruining all of your otherwise lovely photos. Here's one I look semi-normal in. But the woman in the back did a me. THANKS ALOT LADY oh w8 I'd been doing that all day. Hope people had a great final day of season. I think the photo Ops did.

What you said in London speak suggests it's cool to sneak cameras on rides. It really isn't, although I know that's what you meant . Anyway, I own 2 go pros and I couldn't be happier with one of them. Go pros are easy to use, and because they are universally recognised some ops even get ex cited by seeing them.I've never filmed on rides without permission, and yet have been able to film on rides at chessington and adventure island. The best gopro out there at the moment is either the 4's or the 2. I own a 2 and it has amazing video quality and cc and is said to be the most durable. A chest mount is a must if you get them, and wrist mounts are aoso useful! If you need any tips after seriously considering or pruchasing a go pro just PM me

On a slightly lighter note, here is my pet cabbage, Pretzel. His diet consists of cookie and spinach, and he likes to chew plastic a bit. Recently he's been getting a bit smelly and brown, I think he needs a wash. He doesn't say much either, and he's so fat he rolls round the place, and that's only when you push him! He loves cold places so he is normally found sleeping in the fridge. Weird old sod.

Uh I didn't think it was the same building, but thanks for backing me up. I was just a nonce and posted that here because I thought it looked similar to hansa's, and with the whole thing going on about 'ew concrete tower gross no theming ew' I thought I'd back it up with that, because if lots of parks are doing it (as we have already gathered) then it clearly can't be bad.

Oooor be replaced by a zacspin.

I knew you were gonna do this but why have I only just found out .-.
