1. Brave confession I have ridden it once and tbh although it's an eye sore to look at, the views of the park while you're on it are really nice course it's mostly cause that ridiculously slow lift hill gives you a lot of time for sight seeing haha
2. Tbh, cynical as that thinking may be, I've been thinking the same thing! And OMG imagine if that happened! Far fetched but tbh with all the new charges introduced I feel like they're a few steps away from having a "small entry fee" for ap holders :/
3. Is anyone actually going to go to this? I'm so in two minds about it. On the one hand I want to get back on some of those rides ASAP but simultaneously I feel the fee is steep for what's on offer and reliability may not be fab :/

CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas everyone <3 hope you all have a brilliant day with brilliant people
5. IMO just plain Tarmac is still better than the eye sore that is Storm surge haha
6. Such a shame, it's a large space, could be put to much better use :/
7. Omg only just saw this haha aww thanks guys... For like, 3 weeks ago haha
8. The funny thing is, I wouldn't be too surprised if they actually did try to pass off some random new water feature as a "new, improved storm surge" xD
9. Thing is, this is all well and good but the only thing that doesn't make sense to me here is that they're charging standard AP holders to go in with only a small selection of attractions open when they can just go without the charge later in the season. It just seems like a strange move on their part and not very well thought out, it makes so little sense that I can imagine a lot of standard ap holders being angry and not going. I'm personally still debating it tbh :/
10. Oh dear :') thanks.. I guess xD didn't think I posted enough for anyone to really know I exist so it's nice just to know I'm not invisible
11. just imagine if it turned up on the show one day and got closed as a result haha
12. Seriously hoping for Stealth and THE SWARM- also Detonator -hope the line up is good, gonna have to make the all important decision of whether to go to Alton or Thorpe for Feb half term- that's assuming Alton are open as usual?
13. That SWARM screech sound effect drives me INSANE, I can't stand it xD it's the one thing I hate about that ride waiting in the queue and hearing that over and over is maddening! Best sounds: Colossus coming off the lift hill Colossus theme music Infernos roar/whoosh Stealth as it goes down the launch Rush
14. Not to mention they got us and two other people that we saw the wrong food... It wasn't even busy

ahaha what the??!???!! maybe not always April fools though? haha
16. Okay, you sound exactly like me two years ago so hopefully I can manage to give some semi-decent advice! Firstly- don't worry if you're not sure about uni yet! I wasn't even sure until midway through year 13 so don't stress: as you go through A levels you receive so much information and advice from staff, guest speakers and other such people that you will be able to make a more informed decision and have more coherent thoughts on this a little later I also HATED school, secondary school that is, not 6th form, I loved that. Only studying a small selection of subjects I genuinely liked really helped me become more enthusiastic about education and as you get older everyone is so much more mature and it gets less cliquey. I used to be bullied like crazy in the first 3 years secondary school and never did a single piece of homework for any of the sciences during GCSE but A levels saw me becoming a happy and socially accepted nerd so they're definitely something to look forward to! Regarding your questions I can only answer a few as I'm not actually at uni yet, I'm on a gap year- something that I would HIGHLY recommend! Going out and getting a job away from education has helped me realise how much I love learning and has made me more certain about the course I want to take next year. In fact, it has given me a chance to learn more about myself and about the offerings at my chosen university and I have actually changed one half on my joint honours degree since taking this year out. Similarly, you may find a gap year opens doors for you that you never expected: you could find a job you love by chance and stick at it. Of course there is also travelling that many people do in a gap year and those I know who are currently off around the world are loving it! From what I know from my friends at uni, there is more work than at A level but also less time spent in classes that you can use to do it. So long as you're doing a subject you love, work can never be TOO painful anyway haha. They have all made friends pretty quick too, I suppose being forced to live with people can do that! As for distance, all my friends have gone to uni's far away because the courses there suited them really well, so do some research into what you want to do as this may help. I personally am choosing to stay closer to home, though still a good hour and a half away. I'm the sort of person that change scares and its good to know my home will only be a short train journey away! Things like distance are very much up to personal taste, but the courses themselves should also be considered in this decision. At the end of the day- no one can predict if their degree will help them to get their desired job, unless of course you plan to do something such as teaching (like me) for which you specifically need a PGCE in order to do so. Talking to uni's about their graduate employment rates may help you with this! For example, the course I was originally going to do before I switched saw many people being set up with jobs before they even left. Anyhoo, sorry I couldn't answer everything but I hope what little I know and have experienced can help you a little =) I remember being in the same mindset as you and I promise you it gets better and less confusing! good luck =)
17. Surely that's gonna make the park far more irritating to navigate because it blocks off that entire walk way meankng you'd have to walk all the way around past X, storm surge, rush, Colossus, slammer if you wanted to get from inferno to loggers? Also losing the arena and studio 13 building this would give limited space for attractions for their already ridiculously busy fright nights?
18. Was gonna ride it lost time I was there and never got round to it, feel bad now, never actually did it :/ I assume this is all about making room for the new dark ride??
19. I mean since 2 hours was the longest we waited the day as a whole wasn't too bad. And actually the two hour queue turned out to be about 80 mins in the end so not awful at all
20. On park today and on our 9th ride now but we've hardly been rushing- longest queue for a ride is 2 hours- certainly not unbearable. Lots of roaming actors. I really worry for the future if this event- it's so much busier than the last couple if years
21. It was coming out of the truck by the entrance Saturday night, we took a photo if you want a link
22. Pretty much all true except mist was in fact working on stealth after dark, fire and water effects were on swarm when I was there, inferno ran two trains towards the end of the night and was a walk on and Blair Witch was also a walk on after 9pm. But yeah stealth broke down 3 times while we were queuing for it so we eventually just left, was a nightmare! It was like they weren't actually fixing the issue properly each time
23. We thought someone had been punched, but no actors or staff would tell us, I suppose it's mind of a sensitive issue haha xD Jealous of you getting another run through Cabin! Cabin Is my fave by far so great, seemed to be having electricity issues earlier, rooms that are usually light being pitch black- ie- a blank room, room with chains on the walls, bedroom was darker. And also way less smoke in the penultimate corridor, the one with the ramp
24. We were in the Blair Witch when it was evacuated too!'! You must've been just infront because we were just a little way back from the shed when the actors cAme out and told us to go back to the start and they'd send us through again! Glad they did because we had a fantastic run through once everything had been reset, actually the hi light of the night! And the shed is pretty scary if you don't know what to expect, fab jumps scares
25. Surely they can't go through with something on a large scale that got such a negative reaction? At least not yet, not until they tweak it big time
