Unpopular Opinions
Black Buccaneer is/was the best ride @ Chessington. I miss The Juggler [Rodeo] from Circus World [Wild Asia].

Hocus Pocus Hall
You’re probably right. I went on the first weekend in March but Transylvania wasn’t open - it still looked like a building site. My friends and I saw The Vampire in testing though which was exciting! We went back for my birthday in April and Transylvania was open and The Vampire was running but Prof Burp’s still wasn’t. Then back again for May bank holiday and finally Prof Burp’s was open (with ALL the glorious animatronics & effects working...not forgetting that delicious smell). It immediately became my favourite ride ever - and still remains so to this day.

Hocus Pocus Hall
Indeed - opened April 1990 along with Professor Burp’s.

Hocus Pocus Hall
The 90s were nearer 30 years ago. For example the Vampire is 28.

Rumba Rapids
All that’s needed are those random squirters back in action & we’re almost there! And also, rename it back to Thunder River, a much, much better name.

The Future of Rumba Rapids!
It originally opened in 1987.

2017 Season General Discussion
Went along today expecting it to be quiet since the schools have gone back, but it was much busier than I expected and operations were quite poor throughout. In order of riding (or attempting to ride): SAW - running well, four trains (I think) Samurai - not open until 12pm Colossus - running on only one train all day, queues 45 mins. Rush - closed all day Vortex - running well Stealth - didn't open until around 1:30pm and on only one train all day, queues 45 mins Nemesis Inferno - running on only one train all day, queues 45 mins. Rumba Rapids - now officially closed until 2018 Storm Surge - [why did I bother?] Ghost Train - queue advertised as 45 mins but took just over an hour. Not sure of how many running (how many are there?) - anyway, my first time and I loved it! SWARM - running on only one train all day, queues 45 mins. X - running on two trains but zero queue - where's the logic? Really quite disappointed. Could have fitted in much more if more trains were running on their coasters - so frustrating. And not forgetting the new ridiculous 4pm closing!
