Hi,
I have been going to theme park in England now for a while and I love rides and anything to do with them. The problem is I am 6'6 and just about fit into most rides at Thorpe, Blackpool and Alton due to leg room on the rides.. Rides such as Colossus at Thorpe hurts even more than it normally does as I am very tightly fit. Rides at Blackpool and Alton seem to have much more room and leg room for taller people and the more over weight people; whereas Thorpe seem to have very little leg room for taller people. I hope in the future rides that English parks put in have more leg room and cater for taller people..

On park atm and they have started putting up the tents on the beach for the big top maze. Looks interesting. Pretty small area to fit a maze imo. But I guess they will have lots of winding paths to fit a good long maze in. I hope.

Just left the park but this is going on the other side of the beach. Looks to be another "tent". Looks to be bigger than the other 2 on the other side as well!

From Thorpe's twitter. There's going to be some sort of mirror maze within the maze... to me that will be pretty cool, especially if they use a mixture of mirrors and see normal glass... The actors can do some damage in there...

I also hope this is sarcastic... Valhala is one of the best rides I have been on in the UK... Hardly any of it is pitch black. The rooms are really well themed and has a great thrill on the drops. Hope Thorpe creates a similar experience of great themed rooms and thrill.

Do you mind me asking where you get this info from Stokesyboy? I'm quite interested about what may be going on behind the Merlin curtains here.

I know a dark ride will be a very great addition to the park and something that has been needed since Witches burned down but only if they do it well. Personally as someone who is 18, thrill lover and doesn't go with family I wanted a new coaster haha. Don't get me wrong though if they can make the dark ride like the quality of Transformers at Universal It will be amazing as transformers is one of my faves. But I really did want a good RMC or traditional wooden coaster around Canada Creek using the BWP and old train station and the start finish point.

Looks 'Dr Whoish' to me... Please please no... Really not a Dr Who fan and personally the majority of the visitors to Thorpe I doubt are either too... Personally I was hoping for more of a horror themed ride but anything but Dr Who imo...

Agree... which is why I'm scared in a way as it will probably end up being the 'World's first Dr Who ride experience' or something... I know some people may like the idea of DW but no me.... Really not. I know it won't be but I wish it would be another horror based thing like asylum or walking dead... but it will most likely be family (hoping at least for something like hunger games)

In my ideal world I want a Walking Dead indoor dark ride/ horror attraction. If it is a rollercoaster or just a dark ride ghost train sort oft thing I dont mind as long as it is Walking Dead... Doubt it will happen but Walking Dead ride would be the best thing I would want IMO.

Personally I was really really dissapointed with the event as a whole. The main thing is the actors. They never kept in role or ever laughed and communicated with you. Always to serious or looking extremely bored. Their makeup was awful and not scary at all. Inside the mazes they seemed fed up. I went to my local event Broadditch Farm last night and it was IMO the best event I have ever done. Best actors, makeup and scare mazes. They had fun with you danced around and had conversations. In the mazes they ass extremely good and always made you have a good time. Here's some example of what makeup should look like... from broadditch.

Well this looks like a brilliant maze! Really good footage of Studio 13, I like the fact they are still using the strobe effects. The ending looks extremely more intense than Asylum as it seems to be longer of a chase with the chainsaw! Cant wait for Sunday!

Cabin in The Woods and My Bloody Valentine are both fantastic this year.  The new lighting in MBV means that you can actually see the actors and well themed sets, and Cabin has also had lots of improvements which add to it a lot!
Studio 13 was a bit of a letdown for me - I enjoyed it but it didn't have any sense of fear, nevertheless it was fun.  There didn't seem to be many actors though so maybe I got a bad run through it.  Blair Witch was much improved.  Saw Alive was the usual, although again it was slightly lighter which is really good as you can see the theming.  The maze as a whole still doesn't do much for me though, and I'd say it was the weakest maze today.
