Well, tbh, Blue Fire has a fairly weak launch, and it crawls around most of the layout.. But the air-time moments, and intense inversions (mainly due to the godly restraints) make it a really great coaster. I don't see Icon being any different, and the layout IMO looks very strong, way better than Star Trek anyways. Anyway a Mack Launch is a Mack Launch, they're all fu**ing awesome

Wow, they dispatch so quickly its hard to keep count 9 trains is pretty crazy, I guess it kinda makes sense, as the lift hill takes so fu**ing long haha.

I really have no fu***** clue what they were smoking when coming up with the theme, but I'm not exactly excited for SW8.. Family GCI's can be really fun- look at Inavdr, White Lightning, ect. But this looks really uninspired, boring, and the theme just.. Lets the hope the gimmick redeems it eh?

Tbh Sam the ride experience on The Smiler is pretty much the same in every seat- So I guess anywhere is good. As long as you're not sat next to a group of chavs, you'll be fine

Tulleys Shocktober Fest Scream Park 2015
JoshuaA replied to lewumbrajumbos's topic in UK Attractions
ScareTour have teased a little on some changes happening this year- and oh god, even if it is May, I'm hyped for Tulleys 2017! And longer mazes? I gotta say the majority of mazes at the event are already long as hell, so, just, wow Very interesting. (Sorry for bumping this topic like 5 months too early..)- 95 replies

I thought I'd do a top ten for Europa, as lets face it, Europa Park is bae 10: Alpen Express Even though being a pretty boring looking powered coaster tucked in towards the back of the park- Alpen Express is actually really fun! The cave section in particular is beautiful, and the coaster is surprisingly forceful at points too! 9: Matterhorn Blitz Okay, its a Wild Mouse, but its perhaps one of the best Wild Mice out there. The Elevator lift section is pure fun, the first drop is surprisingly fun, and like most of Europa's offering, its also well themed! 8: Swiss Bob Run (whatever's it called) Basically Avalanche but not as fun. But I gotta admit the steep-ish drop is fun, and its really well themed. 7: Poseidon Poseidon and SuperSplash kinda fought for this position, but this easily goes to Poseidon. Poseidon's first half is a little rough, but the second half is pure fun, and the theming is perhaps the best in the park. Like damn, the station for this thing is.. 6: Eurosat Eurosat is really just pure chaos. With its very unusual layout with constant sharp turns and helixes- Eurosat is kinda insane in pitch black. The ride also seems to last forever too, and I gotta admit, towards the end its kinda insane. 5: Euromir Being perhaps the weirdest ride at the park, Euromir is just odd.. The tediously long spiral rave lift hill, the weird turns around the glass towers, and the actually really intense finale make Euro-Mir kind of a experience. The ride might start of like a snail, but Euro-Mir actually made me grey out a few times, so don't underestimate it.. 4: Silver Star Silver Star is pretty much just as I remembered. The ride is okay, it has a few alright air-time moments, and a few fun moments, and a fu**ing ridiculously high throughput. But the ride overall is kinda underwhelming. And unlike other Europa Park rides, Silver Star kinda lacks theming.. Being plonked over a car park. 3: Arthur Arthur is perhaps one of my favourite, if not my favourite dark ride. The ride is just so perfect.. The atmosphere, the length, and the really fun coaster sections make Arthur just a brilliant experience. I always come off Arthur with a big smile on my face. 2: Wodan Wodan just always seems to be crazy every time I ride it. The ride just seems to build up speed, and it doesn't slow down at all, its insane! The crazy turns, the pops of airtime, and the fairly smooth ride experience makes Wodan just really really fun to ride. 1: Blue Fire Blue Fire.. Omg, where do I start? Good theming? We got it Airtime moments? We got it brilliant inversions? We got it Comfy and loose restraints? We got it And that Heartline Roll towards the end is perhaps my favourite inversion on a coaster to date. Just..

What an absolutely horrible attack. Even more sick that the majority of the people their were young. I think we may see security geared up now in venues, but with these kinda attacks, I really don't know/think we can prevent them 100%. Its insane how messed up/brainwashed people can be.

Great move IMO. Cabin in 2013/2014 was brilliant, but as of recent, the attraction has been one of the weaker mazes at the event. I hope we see Platform 15 changed in some form though, like what they did to Big Top. I think if Thorpe play their cards right, this could be one of the stronger years of the event IMO.

So if you have seen me around the forums, you'll probably know I have a slight obsession with Europa Park. Today I'll be going over my sexual fetish over this theme park, and just why I love this place. Get your drugs and your overpriced coffee ready, and enjoy! Operations: Europa Park is pretty **** with its operations. 3 trains on a B&M, 3 on a GCI, 4-5ish on Euromir/Bluefire, and insanely quick dispatches. Like, 1 train operations is the way to go! Even worse, I didn't witness a single breakdown in my 3 days there.. Like I didn't even get to go to guest services to complain. Theming: Okay sarcasm aside, Europa Park is quite well known for its insanely good theming. The park really go above and beyond with theming. Things like themed toliets, or that satellite thing-y near Euro-Mir really show how much effort goes into theming their rides Now in terms of standouts, the French, Greek, and Arthur areas all standout for me, but quite honestly, the whole park is beautiful. The rides.. Yes, its a theme park: So as well as Europa's flawless theming and operations, their ride collection is also obviously quite strong. Standouts for me are obviously Blue Fire, Wodan, and Arthur, but their is so many little gems around the park that are worth mentioning. Even some of the cookie cutter rides you see at every park standout at Europa- like Fjord Rafting, which is nicely themed and a near flawless rapids that left me lovely and wet.. Others worth noting is their Mine Train- which has a super awesome diamond cave section, and The Arena Of Football, which is a super fun twist on the super standard bumper cars. Shows: Shows in Theme Parks are something that are IMO criminally underated. Shows can really break up a day, and who doesn't like a bit of live entertainment? The Standout to me had to be their Ice Show, which was incredibly fun and campy. Also some male eye candy in there.. Not gonna lie. Overall: all in all- Europa Park remains a flawlessly ran park that also looks beautiful. As well as this, they also have a strong lineup of rides like Arthur, Blue Fire, and Wodan. The park is easily one of the best parks in the world. Anyway thanks for reading.. here's a orgasmic picture of Euro-Mir taken by a sexy friend of mine.. (his name is josh)

I think this might be it TBH.. Right now I don't know if its worth it trying to revive it- like Sky Swats didn't die out for no reason.. Also Slammer does take up quite a lot of space, so I bet a decent sized flat could replace it!

After visiting the attraction on Tuesday, I can safely say I wasn't wowed by Rise Of The Demon. The attraction for sure makes improvements, but I generally found the attraction "okay" rather than "WOW THAT WAS AMAZING".. The new ending was by far my favourite part though- I completely fell for it! Though the excessive VR just really isn't for me.. But the attraction seemed reliable throughout the day, which is a massive improvement on the train-wreck which was last year for DBGT..

Well at least Thorpe actually HAVE flats.. Coughs* Alton Towers Coughs*

I think the only rational solution is for everyone to move to Rust-Germany. Yes breakdowns are bound to happen, but when FOUR of your major rides are down, you know you messed up..
-
Rita isn't disliked because its "slow", its mainly disliked for being uncomfortable and not really much fun at all.. Blue Fire isn't really liked for its launch though tbh, actually I'd say its launch is probably one of the weaker parts of the ride. The best part of Blue Fire is actually IMO the inversions and pops of airtime due to its marvelous restraints. The layout on Construction 2018 actually looks very strong, and I believe it'll be one of the best coasters in the UK.

I'm straight.. (Except for days ending with Y)

The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure
JoshuaA replied to Mattgwise's topic in Chessington World of Adventures
I think the ride looks decent. Yes this is nothing special or anything innovative, but its probably a step up from the state that Bubbleworks was in.. Maybe the theming in places are a little sparse, but its opening day, things can still change.. Anyway this is probably way better than some of the flops we've seen recently.. Not naming any names IAC, DBGT, Sub Terrible.. -
Christ.. Calling that cycle pathetic is generous.. The ride barely opens.. And when it does, we get this.. I think its time Merlin put Rameses to rest, even Ripsaw didn't run THAT badly..
-
I think it'll probably be a great ride, definitely not a Shambhala beater, but probably the second best there. Very odd though that they're adding a Intamin Accelerator and a drop tower.. Like they don't already have those models in there lineup.. Holy sh** that name though

Lorde is back.. (If you know who she is) Probably not her best work, but that Piano Riff is bae <3

I play very basic guitar.. (Badly at that) I'm hoping to take professional lessons somewhat soon though, so my ears stop bleeding every time I attempt to play a instrument

Just watched Hush on Netflix, and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Its not anything outstanding, but its a very effective thriller with a smart twist on the home invasion genre.

I think IP's aren't the problem of Fright Nights to be honest.. Actually Platform was actually quite a refreshing idea for a scare maze, and look how that attraction turned out.. Though I think the current IP mazes are fairly stale due to their age, which happens to most scare attractions anyways.
-
Just.. Why? If they're gonna open it, you'd think they would open it during peak times.. Very odd..
-
Yes.. Loggers is 100% opening.. And Alton are getting a Aquatrax next year..

You're generally not missing much. Actually a lot of the rides at Thorpe are outclassed by American Counterparts. For example Gatekeeper/X Flight are probably better than Swarm, though Swarm has better theming. Nemesis Inferno is a fairly weak invert compared to the likes of Afterburn/Banshee/Montu. Stealth is outclassed in nearly every way by Xcelerator at Knotts.. As well as Kingda Ka/Top Thrill Dragster dwarfing it in comparsion. Saw and Colossus aren't anything to shout about as both are fairly rough too Derren Brown's Ghost Train is the probably the main thing you'd be missing out on, but they're better dark rides out there IMO.
