Yes but the rest of the track could easily feature a world's first element hat doesn't have to be indoors. I was just saying that whatever the 'inside' element is on MT could hint the current capabilities of GCI and therefore hint the element on SW8 which makes it stand out (if there is one)!

As do 300 or so other coasters which are better than Vampire!

I just think that we've got to keep a close eye on mystic Timbers opening at Kings Island. Surely whatever is in the shed will hint towards SW8's world's first element (if there is one) or at least it will be a good way of showing what GCI can do. If MT has a track drop or an inversion in the shed then we'll know that GCI have clearly progressed and they may be capable to do more advanced things with their coasters. Surely Mystic Timbers will hint on why SW8 is an SW?

Is there an option to 'dislike this post'?

The drop after the MCBR in the back row on Saw is pretty decent airtime wise. I do agree though, The UK really lacks an airtime machine.

@TPGG I have a few tips regarding Caneva water park and the Lake itself. I've written them before so to avoid rewriting them I suggest you look in the 'planned trips and reports' section where there is a topic with advice regarding Gardaland!

If anyone wants to ride the thunderlooper now, it resides in Hopi Hari theme park in Brazil!

"The longest multi-launch coaster without an inversion" seems like a very desperate claim!

Good addition. But I can't help feeling that the middle tower is a bit pointless. I mean, the tallest will be ridden by thrill seekers and the smallest will be ridden by little ones, so I don't really think they need to bridge the gap.

And the award for the slowest retheme goes to... Well, I can't complain, at least work is actually being done in the dark forest for a change!

I just checked out the Kings Island Central forum. There's some really interesting speculation there. The more I think about it, the less I think that the shed will contain any kind of track feature and I now believe it will just be a dark ride section with animatronics and screens whilst the train sits on a block brake (If this thing is gonna run 3 trains, it's gonna need another block break, considering there's no MCBR). Also, gamification and augmented/virtual reality are really becoming a big thing in the industry. That said, I believe the shed could contain an immersive tunnel-like 360 degree screen that could utilise some sort of motion sensor. For example, the screens could show the forest 'reclaiming it's land' and this could be turned into an interactive experience if riders could destroy the forest using motion - so essentially like a shooter without the guns. [Think 360 degree immersive Xbox Kinect.] I doubt this technology is possible but I do now think that the shed will be an interactive dark ride section rather than any track element.

Doesn't that depend if the track is Topper or Ibox? I don't know but I thought Topper was wood and Ibox was steel. As explained at 5.00 minutes into this documentary:

Now, I love speculation, and due to my recent boredom I have created an image of how a megalite may look on the Island behind The Swarm. This image is to scale and is a clone of the Intamin Mega lite ride model (In this case, Piraten at Djurs Sommerland). Whilst it is very shoddily done, I realised that this could potentially be built and only fill the front section of the island, so that the backsection would be free for rides/shops/a plaza Etc. White is the lift hill:

For flying coasters to have loops, the train must be inside the element in order to not put to much pressure on riders. Hence why Flying Dutchman's loops are always inside he track - so you start on your back. Also, here's my thing with launch coasters, I do think Thorpe could get one, even considering Stealth. If they branded Stealth as a launch coaster with a sudden large acceleration then that to me differs greatly from a mack mega (for example) with an LSM which is a more gradual launch. Therefore, that means they could still get other coasters with launches. For example, a mack mega, if it was advertised as having 5 inversions, 12 airtime moments and a terrain hugging layout would be seen as a coaster that utilises a launch to gain speed rather than a "launch coaster". People seem to think that launch coasters are 1 type of roller coaster, and that parks should only have one. Well, in fact launches are simply a Method of achieving kinetic energy and can be seen an alternative to a lift hill. That said, you wouldn't call a type of coaster a lift hill coaster if it had a lift hill and you certainly wouldn't say parks should only have one lift hill coaster, so I don't see why it would be any different for launches. And @Mattgwise , I agree there, but that is considering the fact that they have dozens of coasters. If Thorpe ever gets a collection as large as CP's I do think eventually they will get another steep drop coaster. But I doubt that will ever happen!

So, Kings Island have announced this - it's a GCI coming in 2017 called... It looks like a really fun GCI from that animation, it really flies through woods. Also worth noting the mysterious shed element at the end, does it contain an inversion, a track drop or just a dark ride section? #Whatsintheshed?

^ They won't because of Saw, and it will be hard to market the steep drop with another steeper one in the same park.

Oh Cian. You just can't help yourself can you?!

Neither but I suppose I'd go with Alvey screaming because it's more tuneful! Messi or Ronaldo?
-
My main concern is the lack of airtime - I'd prefer hills to turns. It's definitely possible to provide airtime on small woodies, like White Lightning which looks fab. There's also this GCI which is coming to Williamsburg - it lacks in speed and turns but it has lots of hills for its height. Part of me feels like I'd rather SW8 was this coaster (Invadr), although neither look phenomenal.

Yeah, but a fun family coaster. A pocket rocket I say. Whilst this doesn't look particularly exciting ATM, I do think it has potential. For example, the turn after the launch is very tight, meaning that if they want to maintain speed from the launch, they would have to bank it heavily. So potentially that turn could be banked at 90 degrees and you could enter ther tunnel on the wall, which would be very fun. There's also the possibility of an inversion and a fun dark ride section (as @DeanGaryCox said). Also, Remember this is an SW, this is part of a series of groundbreaking worlds first rides so I'd have thought that this coaster will have something to make it stand out. I'm actually rather excited for this!

There needs to be some way of connecting The Swarm to Stealth. Having to walk around Tidal Wave is rather annoying considering how close they are to each other.

I thought I'd do a top 10 flat rides. Some of these are at travelling fairs so I'm just gonna call them their model name. 1. Mach 5/Booster (uncontrollable hugeness) 2. Slammer (nothing beats slamming forwards) 3. Time Machine (the most intense experience ever) 4. Rush 5. This flat ride which I can't remember the name of at Clacton Peir which was essentially a smal frisbee that went 360 degrees. 6. Ripsaw 7. Samurai 8. Vortex 9. Submission 10. Enterprise/Zodiac
