My bet is, it was running on 2 trains and the host got the number of headsets available on the two carriages mixed up. Two trains means a long wait between batches.

We'll wouldnt expect Jordan to say it's 'okay', if she works at the park...

As I said in WD thread, X with the budget of what WD had, it could have been a great original IP with some pretty epic lighting and sound thought the attraction. It's a shame the park has to be so invested in WD. Before WD, it was a pretty busy ride and had a queue all the time. With 500k, so many awesome things would have been done in the ride area too. Shame.

It sure is a weird way to advertise something. and with all the actors in the PR for it, which you wont get on the day. I was hoping for new train shells sadly not..
See, the idea of the safe zone is that they have "taken over X" so the remains of old X being there can work from a story point of view. despite it coming across lazy and cost saving.

I do agree, they could have created their own IP relating to the music and old X, a better music and light show throughout the attraction. Like rockin rollercoaster. done something that was actually pretty neat. some video wall at the blocks. using lights and sound to make the coaster feel faster. With the budget, some pretty neat stuff could have been done! But instead gone for a decreasing in interest IP. god knows what happens in 2 years time when walking dead is dead.

I'd take the queue times with a pinch of salt at the moment. They are still displaying X and FN mazes. Ask a member of staff.

Guess they thought it worked well for DBGTROTD, so would do it again. Really, they should have come up with something new. As you said, what did happen to her? bit late to carry that on now as the ride has been announced.  They do need to work on better marketing, the audio on the video was horrid

The caption underneath the photo on the itv article should read "Roller coaster tester Jordan Middleton 27 is one of the first people to experience the new ride  sitting in the station of 'The Walking Dead: The Ride'"

Well it definitely comes across like that. It's very "Jordan jordan jordan" rather than "thorpe park thorpe park thorpe park". Using business news for personal gain.
    Thorpe park mentions: 2
    Jordan mentions: 8

Possibly the worst marketing campaign ever and turned it into as you said, a press relase about a job promotion as some excellence manager... And what seems to be false advertising going by what people have been told to say. Like this ride is operational now....

That'll be one problem they haven't thought of yet. If everyone has visited during the summer and done two mazes, whos going to pay the extra on FN days to do 3 attractions, compare to the previous year of 5.

I feel like Thorpe have boarded the Walking Dead train a few years too late. re-theming an attraction on a dying IP that needs to be around for 5 years easy, is a bold move. Yeah, it'll be alright, people will like it, but feels like the park's direction has no GPS signal. The money could have been better used on a new flat to replace the lost attraction count when slammer went, and 60-70k or so spent on making X a better experience of 'light and sound'. No IP costs, actual identity for X and new ride instead of a re-theme. Of course, this is all subject to how much money there is to spend, but I think it's got to be around the "I'm a celeb" mark?

my guess is living nightmare extreme won't be an actual extreme FIA type thing, but will probably just be an improved and maybe scarier/more intense version of the maze. after all, they want it to get the crowds in - the majority of people would much rather a scary, intense yet normal maze rather than being thrown about in handcuffs and have fake ****e thrown all over them for 10 minutes

Buggered? like drivers gone, amp, cabling or they just don't produce any sound? I'm sure they'll be able to work out which ones work and don't anyway... I mean, just because 5 speakers don't work doesn't mean they are all broken

Theres actually currently 4 black speakers as well as the 4 Bose Freespace 360 mkll speakers. From what I remember, only 1 of the 4 black speakers don't work by the bunker. Never know, the subs could return...

Exactly. WDLN, Big Top and P15 just shows what Thorpe can do with the right people.

Some rumours may be false but theirs nuggets of truth is always possibly there

X removal is unlikely due to popularity and the fact it got a extra refurbishment this year. but a refurbishment of the lights and soundsystem inside the main ride be good

Slammer is going, heard a while ago it was up for sale but with no buyers. Regardless as much as I loved the ride is going to go

Loggers leap is a interesting one, the manager wants it open (its one of his favorite rides) but its at the point where almost complete replacement is needed (the drop is held up by the poles you use to hold walls and structures up temp) , last I heard they where seeing if partial or complete replacement is nesassry
and the whole can you still use lake water argument still prob happening
I say hold your breath until someone walks down monks walk and work is being done. personally love to see it again if it ever reopens, it might not of been the most popular ride but it was a good one

TWD permanent maze, I assume referring to living nightmare. sanctum no, cant be done due to how to get to the maze (walk right past the swarm workshop). but it be a risky move, but I could see it work as a peak thing (similar to I'm a celeb but maybe with reduced dates so peak summer months)

Swarm VR, please no. its not been successful and the swarm is a throughput machine (only saw beats it on how fast a coaster can move people). putting a big sign outside of the dome saying swarm this way prob get more people on the ride ;p

2020 clues bit early but never know. I hold out for treasure island to make a return in some form. (RMC out and back hybrid from treasure island to loggers going above the service road behind Nemesis inferno and rumba be my crazy suggestion)

And General improvement. I can 100% predict that is true in my opinion
Thorpe may not have TLC scheme but they still doing good improvements.

    see how it goes

Though I personally say if Thorpe read the forum I would suggest putting up signposts around the park of how to get to the main rides as Thorpe isnt the best layed out theme park and some guests do alot of doubling back trying to find the main rides e.g. trying to get to swarm via sunken garden
