The heat over the weekend killed the attraction, it blew some fuses and the place almost caught fire.. it'll be sorted soon I'm sure

The backwards drop is brill, and the launch into the station is epic.. shall we crawl back? Move gradually? No we'll sodding launch into the station!
  3. Perseus, my old area before they took up stupid **** names! Having fun then?
  4. Or, we could just go with the simple answer that in 03 thorpe park was dead and didn't exactly need capacity? Who knows what they were thinking about the parks future back then.

Is this the old michael I also worked with? With his arms in the air stuff on buccaneer? Legend.
  6. Peter likes this. The queue has been used for us geeks to be amazed at since 2005. Or something. What interests me is still following the old train tracks around the park, as well as what used to be behind vampires fire escapes.

The reason for extending area one was so on the small and medium days when they have 25min queues, they can have just area one open, rather than having area two open but the queue barely at the vending machines which happens oh so often. The extention would only add a maximum 5mins to the queue.

Lets see, your last visit was in a may of some year, and towers was quieter in "a few years ago" than it is now, and the queues are definitely not bad now. So you're put off with every single recent project? Excellent.. I don't think you belong on these forums.

There have been discussions to reopen part of that queue, and they have cleared out the queue ready. That extention closed when they were constructing air, as the queue disappears into airs ride area now, whereas originally it went into the woods and back down.

Nemesis 1hr 50mins.. yeaahh thats the queue all three areas open, out the entrance and right up the hill towards lava lump, air two hours is almost a full queue. Considering that happened a total of zero times last year, I doubt you're correct .Remember there are staff on these forums, and they can tell you that queues barely over an hour, let alone horrendous!
  11. Is it a castle station? I always thought it was a church or an abbey/whatever thingy.. because of the huge drawn window and the organist playing organ.

The loading will be down to how the host wants to do it. There's no standard way to do it, just as long as its all loaded

Similar to ripsaws arms being.. electric or something. They were taken off for those reasons

Interesting. Yeah the work request was to try make express pass entrance seem more.. sensible. Was stupid having it where it originally was.

Wow, area music back. First time since halfway through 08. Good stuff
  16. Lego has always had higher attendance than thorpe. It's amazing how many people don't bloody believe it Marc simpson
  17. She's the worst one I've had. We've had NDubz in all week, at the start they were very very much whoring up the celeb status, by the end they were just using the back rows covering their faces. Taught them.

They are currently only running two trains and loading them half full, but at least the ride is running.

The concrete section on the floor used to be the old height stick thing (the big chunky metal bars).. but what you mentioned is what I think is how the queue went.. dunno how they used the bit next to the trims though :S

By fixing I mean subtle changes to the music, changes to the lighting (the entire building is lit up so you can see everything rather than just the scenes.. with white instead of nice colours.. repainting or cleaning of stuff. The kind of attention that tomb, duel have had.
  21. Make it a monday or tuesday and I'll tag alongs!

Think I and a few others should make an appearance

What interests me is that little to no effort has been made to sort of fix bubbles since merlin has taken over.Majority of the rides created during the tussauds shambles have slowly been sorted out or changed slightly (think charlie, rita, tomb (old effects working) and duel becoming much more haunted housey). However bubbles, apart from some animatronics, haven't been touched. Would've thought someone would've shoved in the old music loops into the areas or something. Maybe they just need that dedicated member of staff who has guts to go change it
  24. Might end up going soon though, you never know. Towers has almost confirmed that this is the last season of BK and KFC.

People notice and comment on charlie and hex's uniforms, as it just adds to the overall theme. Plus, from my own experience, staff love them. It adds something to the day, and as long as there is not a grumpy git in the team, it works well.
