  1. Dislike the idea currently. If they don't want the crowds in towers street and the difficulties of ERT guests getting into park early (which was why they were trialling this thing), then they should just let anyone on at 930. It's unfair on ERT guests and unfair on normal guests to have the current ways. Seen staff just let anyone on the ride as well from 930 instead of checking, but they were getting moaned at by ERT guests for allowing anyone on. Madness.
  2. Watched Hunger Games. It's seriously ace, even if you've not read the books like myself (just to copy others who've also said that). Also went to see Battleships today - I intended on seeing Mirror Mirror but it was fully booked, so ended up with this. And well, it's good. But not as awesome as Hunger Games of which I watched straight after. Woo!
  3. Is chessington top 10 now? Towers is now top 7 - as they've included Sub Terra onto the pass, not that it's needed.
  4. Apart from the council who will take a negative view due to congestion on Leatherhead Road.
  5. Towers is minimum one helper. Maximum varies by ride but is generally two or three. I like the system. As long as the queue time is accurate written onto the card, its hard to abuse the system as they've essentially queued up for the ride anyway.
  6. Not created by merlin studios. Interesting. However, what is more interesting is this letter http://images.kingston.gov.uk/images_dellstore/DC/1210008/Image_97.pdf - it states what chessingtons been doing in the past decade, why they've rebranded, that the park has continually had ideas and applications which have been shelved.. It shows they do actually care for the place and need this in order to succeed. Only weird thing is they're planning to maintain visitor numbers through this investment, not increase it. But does show what an arse the local council are to them.
  7. The tour is outdated and not really fit for purpose. Moving it to south bank would be full of win for everyone. Refreshed scenes, new experiences, better capacity holding, closer to other merlin stuff... Will have to do dungeons twice this winter, just to say goodbye and hello!
  8. None of the effects are costly to maintain or have on the ride, the "actors" are all ride staff, so have to be there to run the ride anyway, so that won't be affected. Who knows the life of the ride, but everything at towers lasts a while, even the awful submission.
  9. Never noticed this one before. London eye one is just a piece of wood saying 4,321 miles that way or sommet.

    Waterloo Road. Oh my god.
  11. Mainly cos it's got the lowest throughput on park and is on one of the main paths in the place..

    The Smiler

I am 21, and the tent is definitely green and yellow in that picture
  13. I imagine it'll be one of the old mazes going and being replaced with something different.
  14. Sound completely different. Though they do reuse the same sound effect on most stuff. That charlie effect is classed as squeaky door though, and as such they didn't think squeaky door sounds like a swarm.
  15. Cabin in the woods is hilarious. Usually hate these kind of films, but this ones brill.

    SAW: Alive

Merlin don't micro-manage their parks, so no they'd have next to no say in something as small as this.
  17. Nah all you'd need is to see feet on the ground, then swap people around. Not that difficult. Know of a certain park up north which does this.
  18. Phalanx operatives are resourceful.
  19. Guests do notice. But noone really talks about it, it isn't generally a highlight of the day. Every park gets people kicked out every now and then. Chessington gets its fair share, but you don't hear about them either
  20. I love the thorpe breaks part. It should just be where they put the rides which just aren't working.
  21. Pretty sure the merlin way excludes CWoA.
  22. Pluk - you still seem to assume that it was the case of themselves being an idiot which led to an incident. Let's just think... what if it happened to be that people in your boat were messing around, and it led to someone being accidently pushed hard enough to fall over into the water? That's not entirely their fault, they probably didn't expect to end up in. Course I don't know the incident, but we cannot always presume it was the action of themselves causing an incident.
  23. It's an awkward rule. Don't know why they don't just add magnetic gates on one or either side of the boat similar to heave ho/longboat, enabling children to sit on the end. Chessington and lego seemingly take the rule that little bit extra anyway - the Huss recommendation is that people of height to have feet firmly on the ground sit on the outside.
