How Busy Is It Going To Be?

Right, so instead of endless topics asking us how busy the park is going to be, instead here is a rough guide to the kind of business the park/s should be expecting this season. It's not set in stone and remember business can be effected by weather, ride reliability, mount of trains/cars on the rollercoasters, amount of staff working on things, fastrack etc etc etc!10am - 5pm Weekday. Likely to be very empty, particularly in term time. Queue time should be minimal (Unless your name is Stealth and you have a stupid system where you can only load 4 in the first, 8 in the second and then you end up rolling back anyway etc etc) 10am-5pm Weekend. Will be emptyish, however likely to be long queues for Saw, Colossus, Stealth and Nemesis Inferno.10am-6pm. Busy but not so bad. Queues for the coasters could reach 45/60 minutes, whilst the rest of the flat rides should be a max of 30 minutes. June and July are when schools start rolling in, so between 11-3 the park will be very busy.9.30am-6pm. Should be busy. Queues for the coasters could reach 60/90 minutes and the rest of the rides queues will be between 20/40 minutes. Fastrack will be in operation.9.30-7pm. Expected to be busy. Queues should be similar to 9.30-6.00 close except the last hour should be quite empty.9.30-8.00 Again should be busy. At least you have a long day to get on quite a few rides. 10.00am-10.00pm Will be busy. Last year wasn't as bad as previously however if it ever hits peak capacity, queues will be up to 2 hours for the rollercoasters and between 45/90 minutes for the flat rides.Remember guys, read this guide to help if you beat the queues without wasting money on Fastrack. Also use the park well. Head to Stealth and Inferno instead of Saw and Colossus. Do rides whilst they look empty instead of following the majority of the crowds.

Hi people, I know both day's are going to be busy but do you think Sunday or a Weekday would be less busy? I'm thinking Sunday but want some opinions

Pretty sure weekdays are less busy rather consistently right through even when the kids are off.

In theory it should be quieter in the week as typically only kids/teens get the whole summer off. I'd look at the weather, go on the day with the worst outlook.

That's true, Thanks! It doesn't matter too much because I'm a Merlin Pass holder but live about an hour and a half away. Think I'm going on Monday now.

Theoretically this (and last week) is the quiet week. Can't say for sure though as the weather is looking lovely on Thursday! I'm there tomorrow morning so shall report back on how busy it was

In my experience hot weather draws a crowd, and Thorpe has a good selection of water rides.

This morning wasn't too bad but that's just because of the way we did the park. Swarm, Inferno, and Colossus were all on one train at opening with Stealth and Saw at full capacity. At 11 Inferno was still on one car with the first extension queue nearly needed and from how frequent Swarm was going I'd say that was still on one train. Colossus was on two by 10:30 but the damage had already been done and a 45 minute queue reached. Saw was only 10 minutes at this point though a long with X, the water rides, and most flats being walk on. Storm Surge was dead a long with Slammer. Can't report on how bad it was this afternoon but I doubt queues exceeded an hour (if Swarm and Inferno finally put a second train on).

Please can someone tell me how busy it is likely to be this week. We have all week off and would like to choose a quieter day if there is one!

I think of any given week Tues/Weds/Thurs will be quietest, but it is weather dependant too. If you spot a day that is forecast to start wet and get nicer later on that could be a good day to try.

I am thinking of going to Thorpe park Thursday but would like to know how long on average do you think the ques will be? Is it likely to be hours?!

I am taking my 5 month old daughter and need to know I can leave her without her being hungry. I am totally breastfeeding so no one else and do it!

There's a little bit of rain predicted for Thursday and Friday, that might work in your favour. As long as you give her top-ups before you get in a queue you should be fine, and try to do the big rollercoasters as early as possible.

I normally go on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays as it normally is quite but then again I mainly go when kids are at school do see some bunkers in school uniform when they meant to be at school.

How come Mondays are usually busy then? Always thought they would be the quietest week day!!!!!

I think it comes from people taking extended weekends off of work/school rather than random days between other working days. So mondays and fridays are a bit busier than the middle days.

In reality the weather probably has a bigger influence than this though.

Probably as busy as it get's. People back home from holidays, parents off for the bank holiday, last chance to go before schools are back, predicted great weather.

I agree with Merry go girl, it will be very busy as mosy people are back home from holidays and its like a last minute from spree before school starts again.

What do you think it will be like Monday 2nd September? My thinking is it will either be packed as last monday before schools go back or really quiet as lots of schools go back the next day. We are lucky and don't go back til the Thursday! Am hoping this will be a good day as we have been planning this, our first visit, for months and one thing after another has caused us to cancel.

Very busy is my best bet. Last few days of school holidays, potential of good weather. Perfect recipe for busy.
