December 3, 20186 yr comment_261634 Chocolonely isn't a terrible chocolate brand either tbf, which makes it even more of a plus. They have a good business relationship with Efteling at the mo, so will be interesting to see if that changes over the next couple of years.
December 5, 20186 yr comment_261678 Freizeitpark Plohn's Mack BigDipper, Dynamite, has gone vertical... https://m.facebook.com/FreizeitparkPlohn/posts/10157084026084170 This now makes three posts in a row not related to Linnanmäki in a row?! We feeling okay guys...
December 11, 20186 yr comment_261761 Okay, back to Linnanmäki, where Taiga is almost complete... Source 2019 is going to be so much fun with this
December 12, 20186 yr comment_261778 Might Be worth ‘finally’ getting to Helsinki now for this Taronesque style coaster. This park isnt too too far away from the City either, as I’m aware.
December 12, 20186 yr Author comment_261779 It's a city park, it's pretty much the same as Liseberg in terms of location of the city centre... Here's some concept art for the new Gerst Infinity coaster going into Walibi Rhone-Alpes (near the France/Swiss border, Lyon/Geneva way):
December 12, 20186 yr comment_261781 Tbf Linnanmäki looks like a solid enough park as it is, just lacked the killer ride. Taiga should take it from a 'visit one day park' to a 'let's plan a trip specifically for this' park for a fair few European enthusiasts. Keep forgetting Walibi RA is getting their Gerst next year. It's slipped under the radar somewhat after the initial buzz. It's got a non-launched semi-shuttle ending, featuring a switch track to get you back to the station, I believe. Still not sure how I feel about that fad..

December 21, 20186 yr Author comment_261924 Few more bits of concept art for the Walibi Rhone-Alpes coaster (and new area), have I ever said how much I adore their artwork? Also here's the finale: Some of the developments since I've become a goon have become so ridiculous...
December 24, 20186 yr comment_261968 Walibi Rhône-Alpes' Gerst has a name, description and logo... 24/12 - An Infinity Coaster in 2019? Unique in France! ... And he chooses that our novelty bears his name: MYSTIC ! If you still think that Dr. Mystic is a charlatan; Let yourself be enchanted from June 2019, to check!
January 16, 20196 yr comment_262503 Bobbejaanland have released concept art for their new Gerstlauer triple launch...
January 16, 20196 yr Author comment_262504 Nice to see Bobbie Jobbie starting to put in the effort; the stuff since Forbidden Caves (Spinner retheme and Dreamcatcher themeing) is a step in the right direction... Now they just need to add some actual quality to the mediocrity
January 17, 20196 yr comment_262524 Looks like Tivoli Gardens have a ‘surprisingly’ big year ahead of them for 2019. Source-Blooloop Article On Tivoli. Basically they are spending a lot of money on replacing and updating ride hardware which includes their kiddie and Mack powered coasters amongst others. I will be visiting the park in late April, so it remains difficult to see what will or will not be open in that time, but one will see.
January 18, 20196 yr Author comment_262527 Blates +2 for my next visit Meanwhile, in Nagashima Spa Land: *pencils in Japan 2020*

It would be good if they could also invest in some queue lines for the busy days on park.
February 4, 20196 yr comment_262735 If it's anything like Lost Gravity it'll be fantastic, so look forward to that.. Keeping with Mack, the newest Mack multi launch is looking mighty fine...
February 6, 20196 yr comment_262749 Meanwhile, a bit closer to home, Linnanmäki's double launch looks very pretty in the snow...
February 9, 20196 yr comment_262786 Its curtains for Volcano: The Blast coaster as it is being removed from Kings Dominion. http://coasterforce.com/volcano-kings-dominion-removed/?fbclid=IwAR39aineHWp7cR7T3FrKIWjCjLDdgfihPfcasSwaRDpdxLkp9jl_vdpuLIU
February 9, 20196 yr comment_262788 Damn that's sad. I remember watching a roller coaster documentary in the early-to-mid 2000s and seeing Volcano; was one of the things that sparked my enthusiasm up a level. Never heard great reviews about the ride, but still, sad. And from one coaster blasting off to another exploding onto the scene, the first drop of Dynamite is complete... (From Plohn's Facebook..)
February 9, 20196 yr comment_262795 Not a fan of the way Cedar Fair go about things, tbh. Didn't they buy Geauga Lake and close it down purely to eliminate competition for Cedar Point, losing a park over 100 years old with a rich history in the process?

The same could be said really when the Thompson Family shut down Frontier Land in 1999 or (the original) Pleasureland Southport. I’m sure there’s other examples out there too. Doesn’t stop this still being bad though. I'm another who remembers seeing Volcano The Blast on a ride documentary( anyone remember the name), which included other rides such as Men In Black and Millenium Force (an attraction I’ve actually ridden). Still a shame it’s closed though despite it’s numerous issues, let’s hope a decent replacement surpasses it. Dynamite looks great though, it’s nice to see a small park buy a quality Mack coaster there.
