Dr Pepper I've never been a big fizzy drinks fan, but ever since they used to give out free Dr Pepper at Sun Scream, the taste of it always takes me back to Thorpe Park around 2009ish era! Dolly Parton Every time I hear Dolly Parton I am taken back to Loggers Leap's queue! Water fountains There's a particular smell that seems to come from water fountains in shopping malls - maybe they use the same type of cleaner/chlorine, but the smell always reminds me of Tidal Wave! Arcade machine music This sound is Thorpe Park to me:
November 11, 20213 yr comment_274836 Completely agree with the arcade and Dolly Parton songs! Every time I hear that arcade sound it reminds me of Thorpe park as you hear it every time you walk in and out of the dome. Dolly Parton (+ a load of other songs) remind me of Loggers and Canada creek 😢

November 14, 20213 yr comment_274853 On topic. The bins at Thorpe have a sickly sweet smell that attracts wasps like nobodies business. Whenever I smell it outside of Thorpe, that's where my mind takes me back to.

Another time on the bus when there was only a handful of us and someone had some strong stuff on them. November 15, 20213 yr Author comment_274859 It's hilarious but also incredibly sad that the overwhelming response to this thread is just the smell of bins and weed. The place really has gone down the toilet hasn't it.
November 15, 20213 yr comment_274865 Whenever I'm at a park and see queue jumpers, people smoking in queues, or smell weed, it's referred to as "the Thorpe Park special." Truly cemented in theme park lingo.

November 17, 20213 yr comment_274883 It's ghastly. I counted 61 people queue jump in the queue for Shambhala and that was just when I started counting! And not even just people catching up to friends! Queue jumping at Thorpe is non existent in comparison! My non enthusiast friend was put off of theme parks for life!
