chris.radders
I like the idea of the maintenance shed within the station bit.Do you think it will be a clever bit of theming, with jigsaw taking you on a detour?

James
I don't think that area is accessible at the moment with construction happening there.
treeis
do u think thorpe will ever take pics of the back of the ride, cos u can only see it four a second on sammy,Riding loggers gives a good veiw of it
Sidders
Does anoyone know if Thorpe are going to put a single rider queue in place? Surely it would seem pointless as it would double the length of the main queue.
stealthtastic
Well I dont think they are but if they do it will seem pointless as you say because of the amount of people there will be. And does anyone have any good pictures of the site at the moment. Thanks
James
They probably will because the only reason rides don't have SRQ's is because they don't have purpose built SRQ's, because this is a new attraction, it probably will have one.And single rider in no way affects the length of the normal queue because its simply putting a person in an empty seat. Marc
From plans, there is no SRQ.
MikeC
They'll want to be constantly keeping the queue moving due to the high capacity and amount of trains, so there won't be an SRQ simply to save on dispatch times. Only really works on Stealth because they can preallocate the places, however it would have worked as it does on oblivion, where people take advantage of it and re ride quickly with no attendant. Chris
I just wonder why nemmie inferno doesnt have one...There is no room for it.
Sheepie
Guys at one point pretty much all rides had SRQs. Then it became a H+S issue because there were too many people at the ride exit. Remember you've got exit passes, disabled guests and on some rides fastrack was included at the exit. Inferno was awful for it.... you know how narrow that exit is, and it probably came up as some health and safety issue that it blocked exit routes or whatever. Theme Park bloke
Having seen the latest update of the station construction, I'm now confused. Is the station going to be raised, like Nemesis Inferno, or on the ground? Because if it is going to be raised, will the queueline go under the station in that huge trench they dug out for the station?
James
The station is raised yep, the trench was for a smaller vertical drop, which has been in place for a while now. The trains will go in the direction towards the car park, then round a corner, down the small vertical drop into the trench, into a helix, through the inline twist and out round to the lift hill. This video is the nearest recreation I've seen. Clicky
Dan9
And the queueline won't be inside the station area, it will be beside it. It's all in the plans, just look at the mini site. (the tpm one).
Sidders
From plans, there is no SRQ.Front Seat Queue?
Chris
Front Seat Queue? Speed doesn't have one, there's not much point of it really, since half of it is the front anyway so 50% chance of you being on the front.
TRGeorge
Isn't the back row slightly raised anyway?
James
A bit. It's not much different, Eurofighters are the same wherever you sit.
Freddy
THORPE PARK has an update on their blog section on the mini site. Seems like as well as ride photos, they're installing an on ride DVD . They have invested £13.5 million on this project That is a lot of money to spend on one ride. See for yourself Click Here. James
Interesting! We finally have an answer to the question of what is going on with CCR. Over the weekend of 25th/26th, we finalised the concreting and grouting of all the ride columns as well as finishing construction of the bridge for Canada Creek Railway (CCR)…it’s not only SAW – The Ride that we’re working on! The base for CCR’s track has now been prepared and is ready for the track installation to commence - which we will also be doing.I'm very pleased about the on-ride videos, they were great on Oblivion! Johnny07
How does the system actually work? Do you get to see a part of the video on screens in the style of the current on-ride photos?
