Whiteknuckle Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Looking at the picture, I hope the cars make it up that banked turn into the brakerun Great picture though. Quote
Sidders Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I agree! It certainly does look steep - should be very forceful. And I'm loving that little kink in the track on the exit of the Air-Time Hill - more G's! Quote
Sidders Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Read the topic through......Why? Quote
Sidders Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Well it's about time some good pictures of the more obscure elements were taken!Pictures are great, thankies Marc*hugs*And is it just me, or does the last picture show a little bit of corrugated steel roofing on the station? Quote
rollerross11 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 The fencing around the ride’s low spots has been done, and the surrounding areas have been themed to look run-down to fit in with the derelict sawmill in which SAW - The Ride will be based. -Saw websiteHuh makeing canda creek maybe more run down do I hear or is this just the island well not long to wait!!Does comissoning mean test. Quote
MikeC Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Commissioning means testing the whole ride system, evac procedures, testing all electrical systems are tightened up so the ride is then ready for public operation. Quote
TRGeorge Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Judging from other Eurofighters, the chain lift is wuite slow, ja? Tension builder! Quote
Jamie_Hk Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 ...Why?Hmm, someone posted a comment asking if there were any videos of what the ride is gonna be like...it seems to have vanished now. And look, I was just saying, there are so many sarcastic people on this board anyway...Can't wait for March Quote
James Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 The latest Saw video is on the Thorpe Park Official myspace. Quote
Sidders Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Hmm, someone posted a comment asking if there were any videos of what the ride is gonna be like...it seems to have vanished now. And look, I was just saying, there are so many sarcastic people on this board anyway...Can't wait for March I wasn't trying to be sarcastic, I was just confused Sorry, anyway.James, do you mean November's Video or December's?And TRGeorge, Speed's lift hill is really quite fast, so is Typhoon's and both of Mystery Mine's, so it's anyone's guess really. Quote
James Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 James, do you mean November's Video or December's?The crap November one. Quote
Gareth Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 The CCR track, in my opinion will provide fantastic theming also... Quote
Theme Park bloke Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Looking at the picture, I hope the cars make it up that banked turn into the brakerun Great picture though. Is that the section that goes to the left in the picture, of the section which comes towards us?The latest update of pictures certainly are the best. Am I right in thinking that the CCR is going a slightly different route now? I mean, yeah, it's going the same route that it was changed to in 2007, but surely one or 2 sections of it will be different thanks to Saw?!You never know, the CCR may be packed next year! Anything for a good view! Quote
Jack The Sack Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 That queue looks well scary Lol I bet loads of people are going to be freaked out! (me possibly)In the photos of the station, is the "L-shaped" staircase going to be the exit, and the staircase closest to Samurai is probably going to be like the one in the photo? Quote
Theme Park bloke Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 That queue looks awesome. Blood on the floor? Wicked. So if they've got a fastrack queue and a main queue, I assume this is the first coaster to be built at Thorpe in years without a front seat queue?Mind you, we don't need it. Quote
Sidders Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Meh. Video's nothing special. Nice to see Thorpe doing something to keep the enthusiasts busy over the Closed Season, those renderings will go down a storm if that's what they look like in reality. Quote
Freddy Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 I’m not sure if someone has already posted this before, but on the “Blue Print For Torture” section of the official website of SAW, in the pile of pictures there is a plan of the Station themeing (Click Here To See the Pic I Took Of It). As you can see the themeing has changed, with lots of pipes going everywhere, and a destroyed effect, to create the sawmill atmosphere.P.S 103 days to go!! Quote
Sidders Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 Yeah, I know what you mean, it used to have splintered wood effects whereas now you can vaguely see generator-looking things with lots of piping and metal sheets.P.S. Lol at your avatar, Freddy. Quote
Jake C Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 just wondering, is there still going to be a windmil? because it seems to have come off that sort of theme. :Dp.s. has anyone got any pics of the station? Quote
Gareth Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 Oooo, the new photos look great, but I would prefer the interior to stick a little more to the Sawmill style, but, these are only artistic interpretations, and we can't see the whole thing yet.I was walking down Monk's Walk yesterday, and I heard a small 'explosion,' I guess, and then a thud, and a small plume of smoke rose above the construction area. Has anyone got any recent photos? Quote
