JoshC.
Aren't the number of spins counted automatically on these rides? Or is that just at one specific park (that I can't remember the name of now...) EDIT: Beaten to it; nice to know it does indeed count automatically! Matt 236
Don't do inversion counts anymore, it's all about creds (notably coasters, dark rides & parks as a whole). I didn't get a single inversion when I did Skyforce either because of the strong wind or that I'm crap at doing these things

OldFarmerDean
Spotted this on screamscape.. icon_STOP2017 - Project 2017 - Rumor - (8/5/15) It seems a bit early for this, but a local guest tells me that a "jeep" has appeared somewhere inside Blackpool Pleasure Beach with the words, "Project 2017" written on it. I'm told that most of the jeep is currently covered up, except for the park with the text, but if the park is really trying to hype a project for 2017 at this point in time... it could be for something massive, like a new roller coaster at long last. Anyone have a picture of the jeep to share?
Matt 236
Ooh, heard about this, potentially exciting news if true, Blackpool is well due another major ride, rumour has it, the coaster will be a Mack launched and part of the ride is going where the go karts are currently positioned. Mattgwise
Surprising that it reopened the same day. I would have thought the entire track and every bolt would have to be thoroughly checked after something like this.
OldFarmerDean
320mm bolt!?
Coaster
Not a good thing to happen at all, the most concerning thing IMO is that it fell into a public area. Interestingly I saw workers climbing on that section of track about two weeks ago during park opening hours, so it seems as if the track section has been having some issues. Surprising that it reopened the same day. I would have thought the entire track and every bolt would have to be thoroughly checked after something like this. BPB usually reopen rides pretty quickly after incidents as long as the ride in question is safe to be opened. They would have checked the track and everything before reopening it though! Mitchada04
Wait the ride just popped a bolt? Like Colossus does, and Swarm did once. And Manta did one day I was out there and opened later that day. It's not uncommon, coasters pop the odd bolt. Yeah not great of course but it happens. What can you do? Make it so you can't go under rides in anyway

Ian-S
Probably from one of the support pillars, no need to panic Mr Mannering, there's another 15 to go before it falls apart.
Coaster
Bolts do shed off rides, but if the article is accurate then on this occasion it landed within feet of a family, which is concerning considering the damage a bolt could do falling from that height onto someone. Ian-S
Newspapers and accuracy aren't usually words used in the same sentence. Pretty sure I read the bolt landed on a roof top then rolled off into the public area, that's a little different what he hysterical click baiting fear porn headlines make out. It's concerning yes, but not that concerning.
Coaster
Just a heads up for anyone wanting to ride the Wild Mouse, I would highly suggest you visit before the end of this season as there are numerous sources pointing towards it's removal at the end of the year. Benin
Instead of hearsay, let's see some ACTUAL sources... Remember that jeep that was apparently advertising the next big ride? And it turned out it was a tyre cover?
Coaster
Instead of hearsay, let's see some ACTUAL sources... Remember that jeep that was apparently advertising the next big ride? And it turned out it was a tyre cover? I don't actually know of specific sources, but I have heard from people I trust that they may be considering the ride's removal. It could be a rumour (let's hope it is), but I thought it was worth mentioning so that people don't miss out on a chance to get a last ride on it, if it were to be removed. Also, the land rover has a tyre cover with Project 2017 written on it, and it is an official BPB vehicle. (Photo of the vehicle can be found if you scroll down on this Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PBExperience?fref=ts )

JoshuaA
I hope Wild mouse doesn't go, anyway it takes up no space. If anything remove the awful Infusion. slendercat
Matt 236
I'm hoping and praying Wild Mouse isn't leaving Blackpool anytime soon due to the following reasons. 1/ it's still a popular ride and one of only few left in the world (at least til Dreamlands opens). 2/ it was rumoured to be going in 2012 and didn't 3/ We will likely be losing two rides at the Pleasure Beach next year for Project 2017 (floating rumours suggest), Wild Mouse won't be one of those and the two are will likely be the go karts & Grand Prix. Coaster
Are you sure that it isn't just its throughtput thats makes it "popular". Whilst it's throughput isn't great (it used to run a lot more cars, like pretty much every ride at BPB), it wouldn't get queues stretching back to the fountain if it wasn't popular. It's a unique coaster and a lot of fun, and most people come off the ride laughing like mad. JoshuaA
