Who knows, maybe another park out there will take the basic layout of Nash and make an RMC model similar to the one mentioned. Unless there’s some crazy loop hole, they won’t be able to make any noticeable changes to the ride.

Apart from the hotel opening this year, the next big thing will probably be a new coaster on the Bowl-O-Drome. Rumours suggest another Mack type coaster, which is more reesable than an RMC Nash as Mandy has a good connection with the Mack family.

The next coaster is unlikely to come anytime soon IMO, if the suggested (lower) gate figures for this year are correct.

And to think, they removed Mouse "to make way for exciting new developments" (quoting BPB themselves).  Let's see these developments then!

They basically made an idiotic rushed decision, they were so sure Icon would be a massive hit they removed (in their eyes) a piece of "old tat" because it couldn't be sorted straight away, put some rubbish out about new developments and now they're left with a failed new coaster, lost one of the best ones and no money to build a replacement!

Morons.

It just couldn't be sorted. Nothing about it being sorted quickly. No one would insure it. A structural and mechanical assessment along with the improvements needed would have cost a fortune with little to no return. It had it's day and to remove it while they could was the right decision. It is unfortunate the marketing campaign was poor and wicker Man was actually good but ultimately it led to a flop but they weren't to know that.

In this week's edition of shady business practices at PB, they've run an offer for today selling new season passes for £80.

Great, yes?

Not when they advertised and ran a renewal offer throughout October for £90, and guaranteed that it would be their lowest price.

Yet again they're giving their most loyal customers yet another kick in the teeth, by taking the bulk of renewal sales at a higher price and then sneakily running a lower priced offer to new passholders to make a quick sale.

Interestingly they're responding to all the positive posts on social media but ignoring all the loyal long-standing passholders whom they've upset.

no probelm atall with brands having abit of a personality online!

It's better than your usual corporate scripted response. But is pretty annoying when it's very try-hard. Who wants their favourite park embodying a Tumblr blogger? It's pretty fake and is only there because it's the trendy thing to do.

This is like, the most common business practice at the moment though?

Black Friday is the absolute WORST for 'deals' that are no cheaper than the item was sometimes half a year ago for example...

Especially around this time of year, it's always best to wait it out... Though would've thought that because the park was so bad this year the loyal customers wouldn't continue to give their money to them?

It's a bit different when you phone people up to upsell renewals, promise that it'll be the cheapest price possible for 2019 season passes and then completely go against that.

Just wait until we lose a few more of the unique steeple attractions, then it really will be time to stop visiting.

Definitely no point in visiting when the park can clearly only invest in some popular family dark ride, some spinning aeroplanes and a coaster that manages to launch itself then!

I’ll just visit Brighton Pier then!

On the other hand, the pass thing is definitely not ideal when they said about a reduced rate and then do an even more reduced one.

Looks like the same kids that run Thorpes corporate account are also on BPBs! Making accidental posts and messing with / enraging enthusiasts (aka your most loyal guests). It's seems both parks are as bad as each other on social media. If you're going to be on Twitter at least be helpful and not make totally contradicting, mocking or clueless posts.

Not sure we can stop the US President from this though........
