Marc Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 A new game 2010, the games have just begun Quote
Ricky Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 I think the LED board note was a great touch to SAW - the ride today! "Sorry for any delays we are nursing SAW - the ride because of the temperature change in the autumn " ( or something along those lines" Quote
treeis Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 I was right inside the saw station when it broke down on sunday, but the thorpe staff and announcers were very friendly and funny. Saying things like "the games havent quite begun!" Also, they said on the tannoy "If you want to try another ride, we have heard that the flying fish is open!" And then everybody in the station cheered! Very nice atmosphere to be in. Quote
rossafc Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 I was also in the queue when he was saying that Quote
Ryan Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 A new game 2010, the games have just begun You thought the games were over? For those who prove themselves worthy of surviving SAW – The Ride during Fright Nights, get ready to turn up the terror as Jigsaw returns with a spine-chilling new SAW experience for 2010. Marc Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Please keep all discussion regarding the future of Saw - The Ride in the right topic =] Quote
A-Kid Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 I hope they get the timing issue sorted with the effects. Might aswell have gone straight through the seringes without them on at all... And the body basically has run out of water... It just dribbles... And the blades look like they were sticking a little. AND the UV lights are mostly blown. Quote

AND the UV lights are mostly blown. When I went on Sunday, the water effect at the barrel roll was not just dribbling out; It was coming right up to the car.The seringes were in time as well if I remember correctly.I have no idea though regarding the blades and the UV lighting. Jake C Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 the seringes were out of sync but the water got me wet for the first time on sunday. Quote
Paul Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 I have to agree with Jake and Keith here, the squirting body is currently the best I've every seen it. Riding over it looked very similar to the power of the Rameses jets, and every member of my row in the SAW car got thoroughly wet. Quote
Jamie W Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Yes, this effect has definitely been drastically improved. I got wet in the front row, and backrow edge, which shows that it has been adjusted very well. :lol:Crossbows are still a little crap though. Quote
Paul Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 There is great opportunity to do something spectacular with the crossbows. The whole scenes always feel very anti-climatic and dissatisfying to me. Quote
A-Kid Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Well the water pump wasn't working on Tuesday for the body. I'd like to see a total replacement of the seringe animation because lets be honest, it crap. Like, an actual set or something from the films would be nice, and of corse covering the end of the bathroom scene would be good too. Quote
JamesB Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Stupid question, which bit is the bathroom scene? When I'm riding I never really remember to look around at the scenery, silly I know! Quote
TimR Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Stupid question, which bit is the bathroom scene? When I'm riding I never really remember to look around at the scenery, silly I know! It's the bit when you go through the Zero G roll, where the body is lying on the floor. Quote
JamesB Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Oh okay, thanks! I just call that the squirting body (when it works!) Quote
Ricky Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Tim its not really a zero G roll, A) you can feel yourself pulling G's and zero G's go up into the G roll. Its a barrel roll! Quote
Welsh Boy Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Yes, this effect has definitely been drastically improved. Quote
Jamie W Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 The Brake run in the indoor section, with the air pumping at you.You may know them as syringes, but in the big arguement about it earlier this year as to what they were I thibk we established the were supposed to be crossbows. Quote
Sheepie Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Only reccently have I noticed just how detailed the bathroom scene is. It was only when I decided to look sideways during the heartline that I noticed all the urinals, bath tiles and general grime of that scene. It's a shame that you're going through an inversion during that part of the ride as you don't really get to benefit from the scenery being there. Also poor use of lighting in the Sirynge and Crossbow scene take away any drama that the scene may have had in theory. It also helps when the effects are in synch with the ride cars Quote
