James6 Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 I personally love Quantum , It used to be a lot better, but it's still awesome. To be honest I'd welcome it with open arms to Chessington Quote
AdamY Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 Quantum is sometimes fun for a 5 min break, or an end-of-night on FN.Personally I think a 3-swing Screamin' Swing would look amazing! Quote
Sidders Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 3 swings? I'm pretty sure the counterweights would fail if there were three swings, not to mention the 'top' of Rush would inevitably snap due to the strain of the middle swing. And besides, where would the pistons for the middle swing go? Quote
Sidders Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 I'm pretty sure the counterweights would fail if there were three swings, not to mention the 'top' of Rush would inevitably snap due to the strain of the middle swing.Didn't say that now, did you?Cruelty is distasteful Ricky Quote
Mr.man Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Quantum used to be sooo intense, my Dad ctually had to hold me in. They shouldnt get rid of it.3 Swing Screamin'-Swing, no way. Quote
electricBlll Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 I love the way a lot of effort was put into Quantum's appearance even though, compared to the park's major rides, it is fairly small and less thrilling. I think it is the fact that it is so much more intense than it looks is why it is so popular. It is a good ride to stumble across while in the Lost City.It does have the weird problem of all those holes in the theming. They seem to have been cut out to get at mechanical parts but never replaced. It just looks dodgy having a wonky shape sliced into one of the pillars, revealing the support underneath. Also, does anybody know why the original themed ends were removed? I can only guess it was something to do with weight. Quote
Ricky Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Indeed they wre removed for weight issues. As for the pillars, I noticed it too! Wasn't at all surprised to see them un-replaced. Quote
Sam P Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 I went today no sign of life on Quantum with a bit of the rides themeing next to the exit so not sure whats gone on there. Quote
Mr.man Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Is the height stick thing still in the tree next to the ride because I couldnt see it when I went the other day. Quote
th13teen Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 I cant believe how rough such a small ride can be! But still gives you a small stomach churn so its always good! Quote
Lewis. Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 I've never had a rough ride on Quantum, but it has churned my stomach up on many occasions Quote
holtjammy16 Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 If it didn't jolt every time it swings down, the stomach churning would be insane Quote
Ricky Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 I always come off with a back pain of death! Quote
little ken Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I always come off with a back pain of death!Quantum and Zodiac both make me dizzy as Hell, but I still go on it anyway. I perservere to go on every ride I can when I go during Fright Nights. Quote
StevenVig Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 I perservere to go on every ride I can when I go during Fright Nights. That's the spirit! Quote
JamesB Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Quantum was down this afternoon, it didn't seem a major problem.... Quote
rickydoodle Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 I like Quantum, it doesn't have the same ferocity as the older magic carpets but great fun all the same! Quote
Lukeeeeeee. Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Quantum is probably the only ride at Thorpe that actually makes me feel sick.... Quote
Mattgwise Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 For me Quantum is absolutely fine. I can handle practically any ride except for Zodiac (Enterprises). If I went on more than three times I would definately feel ill. Quote
Luke_A Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 ^Yes, I'm like that, I can handle pretty much any ride other than HUSS Enterprises. (don't quite know why though?) Quote
JamesB Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 I can do Zodiac once or twice, but after that I feel a little queasy. Quote
Mr.man Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 Ages ago< me and my dad went on the last ride of the day and we got seven rides without getting off in total Quote
Laelda_95 Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 x:\ no way out, samurai and zodiac are the ones that make me feel sick Quote
