Hey everyone =D Just thought I'd let you know that I've started to make 3D models of Thorpe park for anyone in the world to see on Google Earth. Here are 2 models I've done so far: BURGER KING http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=ac2331b64fe63328d88a7002dfb37846&result=12]PIZZA HUT http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=24a29f604b413fc1d88a7002dfb37846They are currently waiting to go live on Google Earth, but when they do.. You can check them out in full 3D. It's going to take me a while to model the park in my own time, as each model takes about 4/6 hours depending on detail. Although some guy has modelled STEALTH which is live now.=DSTEALT…

  3. I have worked a bit at making this page so I thought I would share it: http://mattsdesigns.webs.com/space.htmlPlease let me know whether you think it would be good or bad. I don't work in the industry but I would like to see something like this made in the future - but not everyones vision is the same I understand

Hi there! It's something that I've been thinking long and hard about, and that is Colossus. Having never seen the glorious Colossus before this year, I don't know what it was like upon opening (apart from pictures), or what it had with fountains and water, and colours and all that. But I'm sure people would agree with me that, well, it's looking horrendous. So this is just for speculation and debate; does Colossus need cleaning? And when?Personally, I'd love to see the water bed underneath the Cobra-roll refreshed. Pull out the weeds and rubbish, and clean it. Black shallow water is really unattractive.I'd also like to see the small fountains I've seen in pictures used agai…

  5. Laser effects in X no way out (mostly by using a SINGLE Laser unit in the roof) (or for another dark coaster)I know this coaster only goes backwards- but you don’t actually see any less (except for the fact its dark). The idea could actually be that you get BLASTED back by the lasers. The idea in some ways seems to be very fitting for one, the shape of the building. You can have the main laser in the peak of the pyramid which you would be able to bounce of diffraction mirrors (http://www.lasershow.sk/accessories/52-bounce-mirrors/186-diffraction-mirrors-standard ) - presumably at the rate of one bounce only - since bouncing of multiple mirrors could be a problem if just 1 …

Neptune's Kingdom seems very plain at the moment. Will there be any changes to this zone? A waterpark/hotel, like Alton Towers' Splash hotel? Or maybe getting rid of Depth Charge and changing the theme completely. They can have more room in this small zone by filling in the lake, like they have for Project Dylan.Discuss your ideas in this thread.

Does Thorpe Park still own St Annes lake and the Britannia arena? and if they don't - would they be able to buy it back? on park maps from the early 80's it showed the Britannia arena as being accessible along with the rest of the park - but I think along the way it was franchised out to a watersports company!also I assume Thorpe still own abit of st Annes lake where the nature trail used to be.my point being - from areal photos - this area is quite huge - extending out to the M3- there also doesnt seem to be much residential developments around there - especially the Canada Creek end - I've always thought this would be a great space for a woodie - Similar to Colossus …

Just some food for thought after the start of discussion from the 2011 new ride topic...With this Storm Surge ride having the capability of my marketed as the “World’s tallest Rapids Ride”, in is yet another step into the X-est direction.Go all the way back to the days of RMC, in 1995, when Project X was coming to light. Little did anyone know that this would end up being, in my eyes, the biggest project for the park – as not only did it attract everyone’s attention towards the park, it created a formula for the park that they seem to follow by the word now...Needless to say Project X opened in 1996 as X:\ No Way Out. It was the “World’s first backwards and in the dark …
