All the time I think - I’ve seen the sign in the week too!
-
Got to the park for opening on Saturday and have the buffet breakfast a try - was £5 (£4 with ap discount) for the cooked buffet - absolute bargain and the food was decent too - will definitely do again!

Those who are keen to try out the mazes before they open on Friday can book into the Shark on Thursday and get access to Fright Nights and the mazes on the press event ?

Feel free to organise something in the appropriate topic!

Did you actually read that seriously... ?
Also easy for you to say considering (as far as I'm aware) you never rode it.
I mean, the mist was on yesterday for some of the time, so it seems to be more a case of switching it on. Also the audio being off is just not good enough, Wicker Man manages to keep its queue audio working.
To be fair it’s possible for something to be working yesterday and broken today - same for mist and audio.
-
Sometimes things are not in the parks control - would you rather they closed Icon till they could fix the PA system / Mist? ?

What are they meant to be playing? I just assumed it was anything goes these days!
The same music as around Colossus !
On the flip side it’s good to hear the full length entrance track back!
-
Noticed that Lost city flats area has been playing The Domes music for last couple weeks - guessing not intentional hopefully can be fixed soon!
-
I think (am pretty certain) if colossus and inferno opened with their imascore music and had been changed to their old ones recently we would be having the exact same conversation tbh!

I really don’t like the park’s decisions regarding audio recently. Removing the original Inferno, Rumba and Colossus/Lost City pieces in favour of very bland, generic and unatmospheric IMAscore tracks was a very poor move. The entrance theme is certainly very nice, and a vast improvement; I just wish there wasn’t this brand-obsessed idea of redoing all the music to feature that one park jingle. Homogenising the park for the sake of fan service is not a good idea...
Whilst I can see your point on Inferno / Colossus - Lost City used to play 3 minutes of colossus statuon ambiance with air hisses on top - the imascore stuff is a huge improvement!

How do you know it hasn't been used? You haven't heard anything yet......
Never stated as a fact that it wasn’t used - just added an opinion that it would be a shame if it wasn’t used... ?♂️

Anyone else concerned that no fastrack packages have been released yet ?
Don’t worry I’m sure they will be soon!

You will be pleased to know, that seasoned theme park composer, Nick Hutson has created all new audio for this years FRIGHT NIGHTS!
This includes new Admissions, Bridge, Lost City, The Jungle, Old Town and Amity (Yes... a brand new WWTP loop!) audio... as well as new ride music and original music and audio for the new mazes.
Bye IMAScore ??
Definitely like the idea of individual areas having their own music tracks for Fright Nights , a fright night WWTP is a nice throw back to 2006/7 too!
Think it would be a mistake not to use the parks “theme” which imascore are behind mind - it’s memorable and they should be aiming to use this across the events in different styles similar to how towers use theirs.

The MAP group aren't happy bunnies with regards to the Annual Pass Preview not being exclusive. I can see it being a recipe for disaster only allowing people with MAPs into the mazes with non MAP holders kicking off etc... Or is that just me?
Also please tell me it's not just me that's on the MAP group just to check out the sheer ridiculousness levels of entitlement on there.... But then the same could be said for #enthusiasts sometimes I suppose ?
I think they’ve been spot on this year with how they’ve run the late night events.
Didn’t hear AP holders complain when they allowed all guests to stay and ride rides till 10 during the MOS nights - this is the same but in reverse I guess!

Honestly I'm not going to FN this year unless it gets rave reviews.. The fact its 20 quid for MAP holders just makes me wanna spend a extra 5 quid or so and go down to Screamland or any other event..
There are some days which are £10 which I think was the starting price last year too?

From my knowledge of sound equipment I'm pretty sure it's problems with he speakers themselves (mainly being broken) as a faulty amplifier would cause all the speakers connected to it to sound quiet/wrong rather than just a few.
I noticed the problems a lot around Colossus, one speaker would be pumping out music while the rest didn't work, meaning you could only hear the soundtrack in about 20% of the area! Was very disappointing.
Colosuss has its big Bose 802’s fixed last year which still work (apart from the one near rush) which help add a lot - but for the last couple of years a few of the smaller Bose ones up across the area have stopped working leaving some dead patches. Hopefully one day it can be sorted!
-
Possibly - but if the wind effects ride availability for over an hour I beleve you will receive a free ticket to return!

Reading the article it was the foam back from a seat which was out of use - it reopened after around 15 minutes

They havent announced it but I have hard (and I aplogies if this has already been mentioned) that they have updated the pre dispatch show ready for FN and also added a few more actors in the ride.
I also wonder if the whole Fanta thing will be one of the bits hiding behind the leaves, I know they said this would only be for specific dates though so would't be the best idea.
I am with ItzAdam on that it will be more scare zones, stating that nowhere is safe is an over statement if the only two areas are the dome and near stealth.
They have been testing out a “Live” version of the pre show over summer, they had more actors in there too which worked pretty well, would like to see actors in the queue rather than just in the exit though.

I went in at 10 - I know sometimes they open the dome earlier than the park not 100% sure what time though.
