The overall track is longer but I find this much more repetitive than the old one. The old track consisted of completely different sounding parts ranging from slow, upbeat and tense bits. This new one essentially repeats one aspect of the old theme many times, throws in the island theme and then just sounds slow and samey for the rest.

Who remembers this. I used to be obsessed with this as a kid in the 90s.

Rare video of a modern train vampire running with three trains and slowing/stopping on the lifts back in 2010. You can see a train already at the top of the first lift as another leaves swoops over the buildings in Transylvania as it was at the time.

Had a listen of the Colossus soundtrack yesterday and personally I prefer the old one. It is too slow paced, echoey, overplays the island melody and it just sounded blander. Shame as I love the island soundtrack. Who knows it may grow on me. I guess Nemesis Inferno will be next so made the most of listening to that yesterday, even if it did keep cutting out. Yes, noticed yesterday, Tidal Wave area of Amity was much louder than before, a big improvement. As Marc said, it is good to still be noticing dead zones and speakers that haven't worked for a long time getting sorted out, so good job to the team:)

Alton Towers have done mazes as paid extras for years and it works. It might help reduce the queue for it. But then again saying that everyone has always been used to paying extra. Down here where it has always been included is sure to cause moaning, complaining and whining from the guests.

That is surprising. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere they were leaving Colossus as it was. Still I look forward to hearing it.

Wow they don't mess about do they. Interesting that this flyer is using their newer suspended coaster track. I'm wondering if the trains will be two across seating rather than the four across of some of the older flyers as the track doesn't look any wider than the suspended coaster style. Still at least that's the smoother Vekoma Track.

Well I guess one way to look at it is that Britain is multicultural and we have people from all over the world living here so any accent could work in that sense.

Walking dead really is worth looking into. It's a fantastic series full of drama, character and emotion. I'd be very surprised if it didn't get you hooked.

Hmmm. Better than before but swarm island is set in Britain!

On every single one of my visits for the last two years Swarm ends up less than 15 mins after about 4pm and 5 mins by around half hour before closing. Everyone goes to this at park opening and it generates a large queue earlier on. Many then don't bother going back to that area as its a dead end.

May get a lot of stick for this but oh well, forums are for us to air our views. I actually think I am beginning to prefer it to Nemesis! Some real forces on Inferno and always love coming off feeling dizzy!

Well Thorpe like world records. Worlds first park to have triple B&M inverts. haha

I just hope these coasters aren't simply scrapped, but sold on to another place, even if separately.

Last time I queued around a month ago there were only around 3 or 4 speakers working, all along one same part of the queue towards the middle section. I'm sure they are aware and will work on it now there is a dedicated, passionate team and time being spent on things like this.

Sounded correct speed to me yesterday. Very impressed with the changes this year so far. Would be nice if both sides of WWTP was played a little louder though, really sets the atmosphere when its pumping out. Tidal/beach area has been exceptionally quiet all my visits this season.

Yep as much as I have had a moan about the rotation system the park was on top form today operation wise. Most rides open on full capacity (minis Colossus) before 10am and fairly fast dispatches. Some examples: - I counted three times in a row at stealth where a train launched within 42 seconds of arrive at onload. - I was in an odd group at x and they called a member of staff to ride as no odd numbered group arrived for two trains. - Samurai was performing well and loading the most efficient I have seen it allowing people to move forward as people are getting off instead of waiting.

The times were not clear at all. All I could tell you was rocky express was closed at 2.

Rush is also now playing it's theme throughout the queue. I haven't heard it for years. Can here it faintly in this clip... Voice 001.m4a

Haha In other shocking news on a more serious note old town now operates on a rotational basis. This is appalling for a multi billion pound company even it is a very quiet area of the park. Currently just Lumber Jump open.

The new for 2017 attraction is open. It is the return of Thorpe farm and it's world's first is that it is the world's smallest farm...
