Went today. Queue music was a bit louder but still only 2 trains. The attendant said he wasn't totally sure but thinks it will always only use two because of the 2 people per row rule. He said if they can't find a single person and it uses 3 a train could be sitting in the brakes for too long as sometimes it takes several mins to fill up.

What is weird is at the start of that video it uses the piano loading theme, cuts in to the ambient loading and at the end it uses the piano loading music gain. It was always one or the other before, although seemed to change to the opposite everytime the ride reopened from downtime. Personally I prefer the piano loading music. Has it perhaps been redone to include both and play piano loading as people leave and then change to the ambient track with announcements as people enter ride area from batching?

Is the ride having issues lowering or is this purposefully how it works now? Iit seems different to the zeroing issue before instead physically lowering at a slower speed. It takes a whole minute to lower virtually, watch from 5:20.

Love the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack 2. One of my favourite soundtracks is Donkey Kong Country 2, in particular Stickerbrush Symphony. Also love the music from Legend of Zelda and Banjo Kazooie series. Guess I'm a bit of a Nintendo fan

Everytime a new post appears I am thinking it is someone saying it has just died

Maybe ten years down the line! Other park top scans still function well years later.
-
Still testing. Was raising and lowering early on in day and then around 5pm could see it testing properly. Hopefully not too long until it reopens. Then we will be playing the "how long will it last" game.
-
I think they still have a fair few years on the agreed let which is why they still remain to this day. They would have long gone if it wasn't For that as merlin want their own outlets.
-
The news itself sounds good, but the inversions don't sound very exciting though! Hopefully it will be a coaster with lots of airtime.
-
Sounds good. Great to see these little things that are part of the theme park experience being looked into. Just bring back the full entrance theme and end of day music as well as sort the speakers out in the Stealth area/queue and I shall be happy.

If it is only supposed to be 10m of the ground and based on the fact it seems to have a strangely sloped lift hill maybe it will be a launched woody?

Towers Street have posted an image of what has been found on the planning website of Staffordshire Moorlands council. Supposedly the plan is just part of a structural assessment but clearly shows track. It looks like dueling track to me although I'm probably wrong. https://www.facebook.com/TowersStreet/photos/a.346943978709386.76261.345107215559729/1055148241222286/?type=3&theater

Mattgwise replied to AJ 's topic in TPM 2016 Meets
Can no longer make this sadly due to an unfortunate family commitment. A shame as I was really looking forward to the day. Have a good day and one day I shall finally make a meet! Guess I should never say 100%- 76 replies

The Chessington Adventure Tree
Mattgwise replied to pognoi's topic in Chessington World of Adventures
I don't think it's just based on looking at that map, as the website that shows green belt land covers Thorpe as well. Must be more to it. -
London Fried eggs or scrambled eggs?

A worker told me they have been trying to run two most peak days but are sometimes having to take a train off due to issues during the day
-
Good idea. Was great to see Pleasure Beach jet washing the train today as well as fixing a window seal that cracked in Streak's station. Even saw a cleaner wiping the outside of a bin! I know you like Blackpool pleasure Beach so thought I'd say something in comparison to Chessington just for you

Ended up going to the park on Thursday as Wednesday was insane with winds of 45 to 50mpb, although only the Big One was affected on the Wed, as was the Blackpool Tower down the road. Arrived at the park to be told The Big One would be closed due to high winds (23mph westerly) . About an hour into opening the ride began testing and about 2pm opened. The park itself was nice and quiet and staff very friendly and efficient. Didn't feel operations were poor at all, although only Big one and Avalanche were on two trains. Rest on one (two of four on nash) Overall a very good day and park stayed open until planned time of 7pm Infusion X2 (wasn't rough at the front, but gave a battering in the middle) Avalanche x3 Big dipper x2 Grand National x2 Big One x3 Derby Racer x2 Avatar airbender x2 Streak x2 Blue Flyer x1 Wallace and Gromit x1 Impossible x1 River Caves x2 Revolution x2 Sky force x 1 (20 spins) Wild Mouse x2 Dodgems x1 Ice Blast x 1 Flying Machine x1 Valhalla x1 Did have a few pics but can't seem to add any in this topic.

So the forecast for Wednesday is now 50mph gusts, typical. Looks like Thursday will be a better option and that's the only other day I can do.

I think they have are simply allergic to the word "top" what with the state of Samurai too!
