  1. How long have the park been playing the pop music park wide at park close? A video is shown on the facebook page of Colossus station playing pop music after 6 and comments of it being park wide at ride close. Never noticed it on my visits this year.

There are 4 trains on x as it is currently, but think only 3 have ever been used since trains have passed through brake runs. All season trains 1 and 4 have been in use on my visits. I know staff are not always 100% reliable but one host said he wasn't totally sure but thinks it will always only use two from now because of the 2 people per row rule. He said if they can't find a single person and it uses 3 trains one could be sitting in the brakes for too long as sometimes it takes several mins or longer to fill up if a single person cannot be found. But really who knows. Does anyone even know if train 2 and 3 are on site?
  3. Aftermath footage filmed at the site.
  4. Wasn't the ride originally a travelling fairground rollercoaster? So supports are free standing rather than in ground. Guess it's possible to have collapsed If not checked for some time. We shall find out in due course I'm sure.
  5. Very disturbing. Looks as If the whole train just fell off entirely.
  6. It is exactly the same as the park use but lately hasn't been accurate from the parks point of view. Yesterday is a perfect examples. X advertised as 60 mins yet it was 10, Rumba advertised as 30 mins, it was 10, Rush advertised as 25 and it was walk on, Saw and Colossus 25 mins, both were 10... You get the general idea
  7. The announcement is crystal clear now which is great, but actually that operator saying "All checks complete, ready for dispatch" was a tad annoying, and not really needed when you have an announcement and all staff simultaneously pressing a button anyway. None of the other coasters did that today. Did irritate me how the gates were not being opened until the ride area was empty of offloaders. Same happened on Swarm resulting in stacking for some time on both. Luckily the queues were very short today.
  8. So from 11:30 we should all keep refreshing the page!
  9. Great news! I have always thought it would be a better system using it's old method of tokens and wristbands.

Went today. Queue music was a bit louder but still only 2 trains. The attendant said he wasn't totally sure but thinks it will always only use two because of the 2 people per row rule. He said if they can't find a single person and it uses 3 a train could be sitting in the brakes for too long as sometimes it takes several mins to fill up.

    Hopefully on 3 trains now!

What is weird is at the start of that video it uses the piano loading theme, cuts in to the ambient loading and at the end it uses the piano loading music gain. It was always one or the other before, although seemed to change to the opposite everytime the ride reopened from downtime. Personally I prefer the piano loading music. Has it perhaps been redone to include both and play piano loading as people leave and then change to the ambient track with announcements as people enter ride area from batching?

Is the ride having issues lowering or is this purposefully how it works now? Iit seems different to the zeroing issue before instead physically lowering at a slower speed. It takes a whole minute to lower virtually, watch from 5:20.
  14. Love the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack 2. One of my favourite soundtracks is Donkey Kong Country 2, in particular Stickerbrush Symphony. Also love the music from Legend of Zelda and Banjo Kazooie series. Guess I'm a bit of a Nintendo fan

Everytime a new post appears I am thinking it is someone saying it has just died

Maybe ten years down the line! Other park top scans still function well years later.

Still testing. Was raising and lowering early on in day and then around 5pm could see it testing properly. Hopefully not too long until it reopens. Then we will be playing the "how long will it last" game.

X was still on two trains today and therefore painfully slow loading times as has been the case for some time now.
  19. I think they still have a fair few years on the agreed let which is why they still remain to this day. They would have long gone if it wasn't For that as merlin want their own outlets.
  20. The news itself sounds good, but the inversions don't sound very exciting though! Hopefully it will be a coaster with lots of airtime.
  21. Sounds good. Great to see these little things that are part of the theme park experience being looked into. Just bring back the full entrance theme and end of day music as well as sort the speakers out in the Stealth area/queue and I shall be happy.

If it is only supposed to be 10m of the ground and based on the fact it seems to have a strangely sloped lift hill maybe it will be a launched woody?

Towers Street have posted an image of what has been found on the planning website of Staffordshire Moorlands council. Supposedly the plan is just part of a structural assessment but clearly shows track. It looks like dueling track to me although I'm probably wrong. https://www.facebook.com/TowersStreet/photos/a.346943978709386.76261.345107215559729/1055148241222286/?type=3&theater
