can't really speak from the experience of a ride point of view but from seeing the photo's the ride looks awful and so out of place, should have been put in somewhere more hidden as the framework takes up so much space and in general the ride sticks out like a sore thumb, some of theming didn't look to bad but the queue looked awful to, my thoughts certainly haven't changed, wait till 2012 me thinks.

I'd love them to have added in a storage unti for bags for loggers leap as whenever I go I hate it when they tell you you have to take your bags on with you because it means everything has to get soaked which is crap when you've got photo's and electricals like cameras etc

Thanks :PI liked your ideas to :Pand from the MTDP they would only have a roller coaster and facilities on the island however I think that is a major mistake as why would guests want to go all the way away from the main park itself and major rides to an island which contains one ride and they then have to walk all the way back? To make it worth it they really do need something else on the island aswell as a queue eater because everyone that goes there will all queue for the one ride avaliable so the queues will be far to long.

2012:The new island and new themed area with worlds first B&M 4D coaster. Isla De Perdición - Island of Doom The Islands name literally means island of doom however I choose the spanish form Percidion because it link with the storyline of the island that a comet hit and the blue glow from the comet cause an anti gravity effect on the earth of the island which has caused the island to literally turn upside down (poseidon) as then aliens arrived in a spaceship after the comet hit and are looking for an object burried within the earths crust, something hidden by the Mayans, a mystical crown which gave the wearer the powers of the creator however the creator left the crown as a test, those who would seek the crown and place it upon their head shall indeed gain the power, however the power could cause the universe itself to tear apart, the end of the world.The islands landscape is black crystalized rocks which have been burnt by the center of the earth, there are some flowers and tree's remaining which where not affected by the anti gravity aswell as burn out cars and the remains of houses etc. There is a large building themed around the spaceship which landed and this houses:ResturanteLoo'sShopIndoor themed coaster experience and indoor queueline.Espíritu - B&M 4D CoasterThe roller coasters queue line is themed around the spaceship and features TV's which show videos of the human culture such as music videos and places and clips made by the park of what happened to the island. The Stations is themed around the central control room of the spaceship and the trains are themed around mechanical flying devices of the aliens. A video is shown where an animation explains that one of the aliens ancestors invaded a new planet and broke into an ancient temple where they discovered a great power, the crown of the creator. They wore the crown in their greed and they arrived at the world with the creator and attempted to claim themselves as almighty and the creator sent him to hell, he then burried the crown deep within the earths crust and cursed it so that anyone who wore the crown would recieve the power however for their greed the universe would tear apart causing the end of the world.The trains roll out of the statio and pass through a light show with smoke effects and alien figures and red alarms and then outside where they climb the lifthill. The cars then drops down performing inversions and traveling over the island and water with water fountains and travelling through the effects such as broken buildings scenes and past crystalized rocks and there are three key scenes the roller coster goes through:the cars go through a cavern where the center of the earth is exposed with all the lava and burning heat, aliens having a shoot out with the humans (mack splash battle) and finally the alien standing wearing the crown passing through rocks and quaking scenes and burning area and the cars enter the exit station where the riders then disembark the trains and exit through the exit queueline which is pitch black with red lights.El Agua Batalla - Mack Splash BattleA Mack splash battle themed around Aliens versus the humans which interacts with the roller coaster.

2011:Ranger County= Toxic JungleThe area is now themed around a jungle where the animals run wild and angry and mutated after their lushus watering hole river has been used to dump toxic chemicals, the area features much plantations and over growth and features many animal figurines dotted around the area along with the entrances of the area being indicated with red hand print painted wooden fences with red tips.Venom Falls:Previously storm surge painted orange and purple is now themed around the infected river and watering hole where chemicals hae been dumped by humans and contaminted the water causing the animals to become infected and on your way down you face spiders, snakes, scorpions and in the splash down area you pass a crocodile and a hippo.Galloping CrownPreviously Cheif Rangers Carosel, the new ride is rethemed to feature jungle plataious patterns as the background and features zebra's, anetlope, cheetahs, lions, tigers, hyena's, elephants, hippo's.Monkeys Banana BoatKeeping mainly the same but the monkeys are repainted to look more realistic and slightly scary and several moneky figurines.I think that Storm Surge would have been better placed in the place of miss hippo's fungle safari

I was wondering is anyone knows anything about the replacement of the sombero's ride at Drayton Manor?There was an interview were the manager confirmed its going and that it woud be replaced with something for 2011 but not a flat ride?any thoughts or ayone know/heard anything? sounds quite interesting to me, considering its a small ammount of space.

I don't know if my memory was playing tricks on me but the Colossus chain lift seemed to go incredibly quicker than I thought it used to on my visit today

Went with college today and we where really shocked at how bus it was considering it is now term time, anyways we arrived late and left early :SWe all had a really gd day, the Saw Maze was absolutely brillaint today totally scared the Shhh out of me, I'm not usually that easily scared either but the effects and the actor/s where amazing and they where relentless they even followed me into other rooms ( I was at the back)Rides:SawSaw AliveRushLoggers LeapColossus(We where about to ride Smaurai just before leaving the park untill it broke down, which dissapointed me as I really wanted to experience the ride but oh well)Overall we had a really good day and I think the park is looking mainly on the up, Zodiac needs to have something done with it atm, it looks so out of place and with the colours on it., they need to theme it accordingly with the other rides, the wasps where a real nuissence all day, I was suprised Octopus gardens had been closed already, I was dissapointed that both slammer and tidal wave where down.

I have to admit on my visit today the wasps where really bad, they where every and kept landing on people and several people got stung

I only take my camera on non looping or high up easy going rides atm but I always use my wii remote strap to make sure it stays with me

I half agree and half don't,I myself find G-Force a nice little ride and I think that it woyld be quite a good idea, however the ammount of moaning and snipping I have seen about the ride of forums I don't think that style of ride would be very welcome.

finally someone who is not blinded by being a fanboy, the ride is mediocre at best.I found it a very fair review and if it was me I woud have given it 6/10the thing I find increidbly annoying about th13teen is the fact that it really doesn't do what they make out it does, they make out that the ride is very intense and thrilling when really it isn't at all and I found the drop could have been better.btw before you have a go at me this is not my review a friend asked me to post this review for them.

of a cave themed building with paintings on the walls and you then enter the station themed around a gathering area for the tribe featuring a burnt hug roast and skeleton standing over it, a burnt female skeleton stands at the end of the row with a claw like pose and lunges out those in the queue every 10 minutes and you then enter the cars themed around the a bird of prey and watch a video of the explosion and a skeleton hand lunges out at the screen and then you leave the station where you turn and drop down into the cavern passing over air jets and eerie sounds are played as you turn the corner and pass skeletons tied to each side of the wall and features head chopper effects and then the words “fire” are heard and there is a bright flash as you then climb a 45m where you travel briefly turning and drop down over and area of water where you climb and turn performing a dive loop and then travel over another area of water performing a hammerhead turn and then camel back twists over a large bomb which has a large timer on it and then turns round to travel straight and performs a long inline twist which most takes part over the lake at the edge of the island returning to the island and then performing a raven turn over the lake with a water fountain and comes to the block break run where you exit outside of the station and into the retail outlet and photo collection point.The large cavern structure houses the roller coaster station, maintenance and themed experience along with a retail outlet and photo collection point and fast food restaurant and loo’s and the island features plenty of themed photo opportunities with skeletons etc.2013:Backsplash: A techno jump which opens in the space of stall next to tidal wave, themed around fishing when the tidal wave strikes and riding the waves up and down and being pulled by a large catch.The queue features fishing theming and a shark at the centre of the ride.2014:Phazer Surplus:X No Way out receives a small accompanying area with ride.The new area is themed around a military facility where army men are taken in, but never seen again.The outside of the area is sectioned of with small walls painted with camflage theming and posters dotted around the walls and the area advertising the army and visiting the facility.The area features cut out wooden soldiers and robot’s to stick your heads and arms and feet etc in and get photos.Mechanical March: An enclosed Chance Morgan Alpine bobber which features laser light effects and is themed around those who go AWOL being hunted down by robots.X: No Way Out: The first corridor of the queue line features camo painted swirling hypnotic pattern and a robot at the end of corridor with a gun with a laser pointing out down the corridor, every 5 minutes laser noises are played and the robots laser increases width.The next corridor features walls painted as though they are laser netting and red lights from each side of the wall cover the corridor when an alarm sounds every minute.You then come to an open area where there’s a half human half machine figurine in a cage with an arm reaching out and there’s a figurine in a straight jacket with half human half robot face which lunges and laughs at you.The station is themed around a testing facility with pieces of robots dangling around and a figurine on a table asleep which is cut open and is being replaced with machinery and his eyes open and he screams every 5 minutes.The cars then exit the station and follows the same track however they feature new lighting of electric blue and red and violet and sirens are played at the stops along with the old effects working and at the block break runs robots attack the riders and a conversion process is shown and they face a converted robotic scientist finally before returning to the exit station.2015:Rumba rapids receives a new sponsorship from Tango.Tango Tempest Rapids:The new rapids features, blue, red, yellow, orange, violet cars with seatbelts.The station is themed around a burnt tree which is now frozen over and you turn and pass a set of skulls on pikes which water runs out from, you then pass a waterfall themed area with rocks and travel down towards the frozen cavern themed area passing tribal figurines with blow darts with a constant flow of water from them and you then enter the cavern area with a scene with large icicles and sprinklers from the red lit ceiling with painted tango orange logo’s and tango ice blasts frozen and a tribal woman who is frozen holding a Ice blast can drinking it.You then exit the cavern themed area and travel under an overhead pipe network system channelling the water from the melting ice cavern and leaking onto the riders along with leaking barrels with the tango logo on and you then come to the large open area passing a tribal family figurines in a hut drinking tango and spraying fizzed up tango cans at one another and riders and passers by and they then face the ice blast shower and photo and return to the station.2016:A duelling Mack water coaster opens on the island next to the entrance and is themed around a futuristic race on a water covered planet.Tidal Titan: There are two queue’s Neptune for young thrill seekers and Poseidon for thrill seekers.The queue line is themed with interacting with the rides drops and statues and water effects such as a pond with fish for the younger queue line and a walkthrough waterfall in the adult queue line and the station is themed around a temple where the two god’s statues are shown preparing to battle.Neptune: The riders pass the fish pond and they also pass a bubbling area of water with flashes of light and two tritons locked together above the water.The ride then climbs a 14 metre lift hill and drops down and is side to side with Poseidon as it climbs and then turns and passes over Poseidon and then drops down into it’s splashdown zone and soaks the Neptune queue, the Neptune riders then travel briefly before the Poseidon cars drop down and splash them and the tow cars travel along opposite until they enter the tomb and Neptune’s riders begin climbing a 12 metre lift hill and turn and drop down facing the Poseidon riders who they soak and they travel along and out of the tomb and turn right and then perform a U-turn around the right side of the tomb passing broken roman statues and climbs a 12 metre lift hill and drops down facing the Poseidon riders and they both soak each other and the Neptune’s riders climb a 10 metre lift hill and drop down passing over them as they perform a left swerving drop into the splash down zone and they then travel along as the Poseidon riders drop down they pass a large Greek shield which protects them mostly from the water and they then travel briefly before returning to the station.Poseidon: The riders pass under the locked tritons of Poseidon and Neptune and then pass explosions of water and then begin climbing a 28 metre lift hill and as it climbs passes the Neptune cars at 14 metres and continues climbing.The ride drops down underneath Neptune’s track and climbs up again and turns and drops down angled right and splashes the Neptune’s riders and the cars then travel along together passing a water fountain and then enter a tomb area where Poseidon cars travel straight along and Neptune’s cars drop down from 12 metres and splash the Poseidon riders in the dark, the Poseidon cars then exit the tomb and begin climbing a 24 metre lift hill and turns and curves right as it drops down and then left and then right again and drops into a splashdown zone along with Neptune’s riders and then the Poseidon riders pass an over turned boat and climb a 27 metre lift hill and Neptune’s riders pass over them as they drop down and Poseidon riders climb the lift hill and turn left and features a double drop into the splash down zone narrowly missing the Neptune’s riders and returning to the station.

I agree, the park gets very slammed by alot of people from what I have seen on here but I found it one of the best parks in the UK IMO.Granted I haven't visited as many parks as alot of the people here but I found the park deserved far more credit than it was given.The queue for stormforce 10 was as every ride queue line should be, such a level of detail and attention created such an extensive theme and atmosphere for the ride.The park provides some great rides to the UK, granted some are not best comfortable but they mainly all are immacuatley themed, considering this is a theme park that is run a family rather than a large chain it left me with a hunger and rather dissapointed with those parks which are owned by the big chains because in some cases they didn't match up to the level of attention Drayton had put into the park and it's rides.I feel the park should recieve far more credit than it currently does it offers a great service on a par and possibly higher than many of the big chain theme parks in the UK.The only downsides I found from the park were the guests, the staff where relatively fine and pleasant.

if I'm correct wasn't there a rumoured deal struck between Merlin and B&M that Heide Park and Gardaland got a roller coaster and so did thorpe park?if that is the case would make sense that they recieve a B&M dive machine.
