Colossus
Whilst this of course may be the yammerings of a cynical person, of course a place of business would assure potential customers/clients that they will be doing something... And it probably won't get done come the end of it... Depends on the type of bird and the location as to whether Thorpe can do anything about it...

2014 TV advert
Something for everyone = We have water rides and roller coasters... It's an alright generic park advert, inoffensive really, and suits Thorpe's attempts at getting more families in... Of course, just because they're looking at families doesn't mean an end to thrill rides... Hopefully any future additions will be considered towards all people on the rider spectrum, and we might end up with some rides that are suitable for post luncheon for a change...

Rameses Revenge
Rita, Thirteen and Air have all been problematic over the years to be fair... However, considering that Intamin Accelerators are mostly as reliable as a chocolate teapot, and the other two were complete world's firsts (though Thirteen had the issue of poor design, since it was over-speeding)... Probably other things are seen as unreliable, such as powercuts and how they are dealt with, which is not completely something within the park's control... Aside from the original 3 rides I listed, the only other ride that breaks down regularly would probably be Spinball... And I don't think Towers have ever had a day where only 3 rides have been operational without a real reason (I.e. powercut)...

Rameses Revenge
You never went to Thorpe between 2005 and 2012 did you? That's what happens when you have people obsessed with H&S, see also the Punjabi Prison fences on Tomb Blaster/Rameses... Plus Bubbleworks and it's current 'theme'... New ride suffering teething problems, just like other parks (including as an example Saw, or indeed, Stealth)... Bit harsh really to pick up Towers on those 3 points when other parks in the Tussauds/Merlin group have been much worse...

Rameses Revenge
Compared to Chessington? Yes... Of course, such claims as to why Towers is apparently (in your opinion) awfully run would be nicely supported by reasonings...

Safari Skyway
There was a person stood at the entrance all day yesterday (the standard measure for rides that are gonna be down anyway)... Hotel construction might also be a reason for it's current closure I guess... But I think the animal settling reasoning is pretty valid...

Vampire
Different ride system, different set of restraints, better designed station... There are a lot of factors that affect a ride's throughput...

Vampire
30 second dispatch times on 3 trains back in the day... Wouldn't be surprised if some of it was down to the newbies coming in... It seemed a bit tempermental yesterday in the station... Doesn't help though that they never fill the bloody station anyway, so half the time you end up waiting for more people to turn up from the 70 minute queue...

Safari Skyway
Gotta get them used to it somehow haven't they?

SAW: The Ride
Cos it's a crap ride... That's why... There's not really much that can be done to change it now tbh, aside from new trains really, but you can't see Merlin doing that...

Scorpion Express
Right then... Mediocre... This whole thing is very, VERY Merlin in the design, ideas and final production of their new attractions... A bland cattlepen queueline, the indoor section whilst nice is devoid of anything (no live scorpions and some 'interactive' holes in walls... Outside, it lacks a lot of things... It looks bland (as wild west themes are usually), empty and pretty lacking in soul... But it looks ok... Just ok mind, the scorpion is poorly executed and looks tiny, whilst the backdrop is too small and lacking depth to feel like an abandoned town... The fire is good, but the amount the use it'll be gone by the first gas bill... It feels like there were lots of ideas, and once again these were all poorly executed... They had a chance to cement the Mexicana (loose as it is) to something interesting, instead we have a paint by numbers wild west theme which is bland as hell and lacks much in the way of well, anything... Maybe it's that I have high standards, but I wasn't particularly impressed by the final product...

Safari Skyway
When did it test? Because didn't see it move all day...

Rameses Revenge
Why? Because Chessington...

Rameses Revenge
The 15 people rule is to do with the breakdown last year (weight distribution)... In additions chains have been added to the side to assist should the situation happen again...
-
Tomb Blaster
Well, erm, today this was so, so bad... No working revolving wall, Anubis was dead, and the snake, and the finale mummies... Like, seriously never seen it as bad as that, not even worth it opening tbh...

Safari Skyway
So new trains then? The way they said it on Facebook the other day made it more sound like they were letting the new arrivals in the Monkey garden settle in first, which is fair enough...

Alton Towers General Discussion
Lets not forget that Woodland Walk will be open for ERT like it was last year... So you don't even have to go to the main entrance anymore...

Liseberg
Much rave... July needs to come like, now...

Vampire
Will only be a good thing if the overall staffing/operations improve... Otherwise as said, we'll be all stuck on the second lift...

Coney Island/ Luna Park
Its not really awesome... Whilst its relatively nicely presented, it has little in the way of quality... Cyclone is rough as well too... Plus the Volare </3
- Heide Park

Alton Towers General Discussion
Still is if your first destination is Oblivion or Smiler... Or indeed, Rita or Thirteen, since Skyride would actually take longer than a walk...

Alton Towers General Discussion
The only really burdenous one there is Skyride... Barely anyone rides Terry at the best of times, whilst Hex rarely has enough of a queue for it to affect people... Couldn't care less about Ripsaw...
