I'm not saying it is DEFINITELY going to be to do with a ride. It's just that there have been a ton of rumours about X recently so it could quite feasibly be that. I mean, the X rumours make FAR more sense the THE SWARM's!
-
I personally think a refurb of XNWO. Thorpe are aware it needs something done to it, whether that be re-theming/re-vamping or even turning it so it went forwards. As I have mentioned in another thread, turning it forwards would mean its height restriction could be reduced from 1.4m, therefore more people shall be able to ride it and it means Thorpe can open up to a wider audience again. If it ends up being something totally different then I'm not fussed. I'm not even fussed about an X refurb.

Getting the show might not cost a lot but the building needs a lot of work... That or they bash out a brand spanking new one, which I can't see them doing because most of Thorpe's target audience aren't interested in going to a theme park to watch a show.

If a new 4/5D show opens it probably won't be in the old Time Voyagers building, as that was shut due to H&S issues. If one does open there then that means Thorpe have done up the building, but considering the lack of demand and popularity of Time Voyagers this is unlikely (assuming the GP will treat all shows like Time Voyagers). I personally think it's far more likely to be an X refurb as this will probably appeal to the GP far more than bringing in a new show, or an old ride (which, as Josh has stated, Thorpe are unlikely to announce on Facebook as it doesn't fit their target audience). I guess we'll all have to just wait and see though, eh?

TP - I copied Pluk's post so just used the numbers that were on his.

As far as I'm aware Topscans aren't really designed to handle the number of guests that Thorpe throws at Samurai, so it's not really any wonder that as Samurai ages it's running in to more and more difficulties. Of course, this may have nothing to do with its problems, but as Benin said the park don't HAVE to tell guests what is wrong with it. Personally I don't have a huge issue with its downtime, I rarely ride it because I get thrown around in the seat too much and often come off it with a headache

The new guests don't know that though do they? Bless their poor, inexperienced souls...

Ermmm the hotel Ian and I stayed in last year when we took a trip to Towers was pretty nice. I think it was called The Stuart Hotel (something like that) and it's in Derby As for my plans... lots of discussion but nothing is set in stone as of yet! Well, unless you count Chessie next weekend so I can renew my AP and get a cheeky zoo day in... Totally jealous of the Orlando and Vegas trip! Dying to go to Vegas but I'm going to wait until I'm at least 21, that way I can actually DO stuff out there.

Just because a park has one launched coaster doesn't mean it cannot have another... With Stealth it's all about the launch. Another launch coaster wouldn't have to focus on the launch so much (think Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, Maverick, etc). Granted it's unlikely Thorpe will have another one due to the size of the park, but the possibility is still there, no matter how minuscule.

There have been rumours that XNWO shall be changed to go forwards rather than backwards, making it a less intense ride. If this were to happen it would suggest that Thorpe are changing their target audience and considering families again as the height restriction can be reduced from 1.4m (shorter height restriction on XNWO means more people can ride it, giving younger children more ride options when they come to the park). Say this were true, there would be nothing stopping Thorpe bringing in more family-oriented attractions and leaving the big thrills for a while. As BigBobJones mentioned a few pages back, Thorpe have got themselves into a sticky situation in that many are now expecting bigger and better, which is not always possible with planning restrictions, cost, etc. Personally I don't mind what Thorpe give us next as long as it's not tacky and/or badly thought out.

I had one glass of Sex on The Beach but I don't fancy getting drunk today! (Totally not a festive drink in the slightest but it's too nice to not want) Oh and Liam, my little sister woke me up at 6:15 this morning. Needless to say I went back to bed at half 9 once the presents had been unwrapped...

Well it was posted on the forums and quite clearly too. It was also posted with a lot of notice so that's just your fault I'm afraid.

Nope Well, that kinda gives it away... Was a bit cheeky and only changed my height by 1inch... I'm a measly 5ft 2! Well, according to the crappy tape measures you have around the home, so I could be a bit wrong there... Haha. Your turn

If numbers are limited could be first-come first-serve like Experiment 10, with no external advertising. Regular forum members are likely to see this and put their name down. The alternative would be a draw the name out of a hat type thing (like the straw picking for the Colossus lift hill walk), but that wouldn't really work unless we were to do it on the day. Obviously this method would depend on what we were doing, but it would ensure everyone had a fair chance at being picked.
