  1. They were probably well hidden behind a tree, just like that pesky non existent Loggers tunnel

The staff will start rumouring just like us. They will be updated in time about future developments but not until the park itself is ready to announce anything as they know, with staff like that they could be part of a forum and post what they know or just tell one person which then becomes 2 and so on.
  3. For anyone not believing in the craziness. Does look cool flying about JP though!
  4. Something must have happened though for this rule to be enforced. As it most definitely wasn't the original aim.
  5. I just don't see why you have to wear them. It worked fine on opening. It meant the staff had one less headset to clean, they have a pouch which they are secured in to stop them flying about and can't fall off anyway as they're also attached to the restraint. Once you hit the brakes most people take them off and let them dangle anyway till you get back into the station. It's just an odd choice to remove the option for those who don't want the VR.
  6. Something has changed on that then as I rode it twice without VR over 23/24th.
  7. It's been hitting 360 minutes with a 180 minute single rider queue. That park is busy naturally. It has 3 trains so probably at tops a throughput of 1500pph which isn't huge for a park that gets 10/11 million guests a year!
  8. SeaWorld had run out of options really for the orcas. The times we're in now they need to catch up, but the thing I detest most about the whole situation is SeaWorld, the company that rescues and cares for so many injured animals to return them to the wild were the biggest targets. Like Mark said, they have put so much research into marine care and save loads of animals. Keeping an animal of such size isn't brilliant, but why should a cheetah be kept in a cage it can't run and hunt in? It's all the same. The breeding thing, fair enough. Even though they were all being bred from captivity now anyway as they hadn't and weren't capturing anymore. As for the shows, I still believe it is just the theatrical show that is being cancelled slowly over the next 4/5 years. There are ten orcas at San Diego, seven in Florida and 6 in San Antonio. Each park has one that's only at most 6 years old. Tilikum is now 34 years old and is having health issues which SeaWorld are treating but it doesn't look promising. So there are still going to be many years that the orcas are on park. They'll still do shows, but will instead have the orcas swimming around in their nice new tanks and just do a talk about them, like conservation and stuff. No tricks, just let them swim around as guests are informed which seems like SeaWorld's way forward. Some quotes from Manby who seems to be steering the boat the right way. So there you go, SeaWorld has been praised since announcing it, stocks risen, new partners signed. It's a move in the right direction, and hopefully they can properly showcase all the good they do!
  9. Neither weekend is great for me, don't even think I know which one I'd prefer I'll just go with the flow as per.
  10. So, the planning got approved, subject to conditions. It has to look like the images submitted, constructed in accordance with the flood risk assessment as standard. The other one that all planning things get, is this. So let's think about it. What if they don't want it for this year, but are thinking long term. Put it back for this FN in a more permanent form, leave it over closed season and open it up for 2017? Get planning in now on the current MTDP with the current floorspace etc then they don't even need to consider it when they write up the next MTDP. Either way, whatever they're doing it's been approved and they have 2 years to start work on it.
  11. Right, detailed review in spoiler tag. But to put it simply for those that don't want anything spoiled; throughput is a yoyo, photo point annoying, headsets clunky, music good, plaza and portal good. I preferred it without VR, Celia preferred it with VR. The logo in the paving is cool. Entrance sign is good too, lights up and everything. Portal with sound effects, changing lights and, without the VR a really good element to the ride! Time for le spoiler tag.
  12. Very pleased with Travelodge! Monday night we checked in for a stay and the TV wasn't working. No biggie for us as we just watched stuff from my phone. Told the guy at reception, he said he'd look into it. Got back from dinner still broken, ah well. But on Tuesday after our day out it was working, cool! Upon checking out Wednesday morning, luckily on reception it was the same guy and he asked us if anyone had talked to us about a refund. We said no, they ended up refunding us for our first night as the TV was broken. Nice! Wasn't even fussed by tv's TV, so was a really nice touch! That's how to keep customers
  13. So, as of today the screens have all been unblurred, there is music back in the projection room And the audio before the vertical lift is back with the video. All it misses is the word "corrected" as does all the merch now.
  14. Nearly done! Launch tube is being repainted MSHI looks almost right once again Not sure if I like it, could just be a base coat. Exterior queue progress as well.
  15. Feel like it might nearing a solution as F&F is using the same tech and permits for the actual ride were filed yesterday. If not, it can run one vehicle fine, will probably make it close to opening capacity of Gringotts...
  16. Swarm maybe can't be helped? It was testing and had been doing so fine, something must have suddenly gone wrong. Like unexpected, that can't be of Thorpe's fault surely? Colossus is a similar issue in delays of parts etc. Possibly Thorpe's fault, possibly not. Rush, who knows. Maybe only one S&S can work at any one time at a park? It's not great, but they're telling people about it. The fact they gave passholders a priority pass to use on the closed rides later on wasn't necessary as it was a preview day, something they didn't have to do. But they did, and told people the line up before they turned up, and after saying Inferno would be closed got that open as well. It's Merlin, it ain't going to be great. But stuff happens that can't be prevented.
  17. It's a market that CityWalk didn't yet cater too. Yeah, has similarities to CATCF but at heart it's just a Victorian chocolate place. I wouldn't really say CATCF is steampunk, just weird. Volcano Bay is being worked on to be one of the best water parks in the world. They're calling it a water theme park and building a 200ft volcano structure for its core. Can't be worse than Wet'n'Wild. Plus, it is rumoured to not have queues. It will use a sophisticated R'n'R but designed with this in mind so it works. Kong's paint work is odd. Guess it might look better in person, but this photo from a few days ago on OTPN shows it well. These investments shouldn't be the ones to question, I'm sure they'll be amazing. It's Fallon and Furious that I'd call dubious.
  18. Assuming it will look like this, then wow! Chocolate CHOCOLATE! Plus chocolate bacon, Key Lime Pie shake and more! Steam punky. No idea on opening time with this, most likely towards the end of the year like NBC Grill, but if they can get it up by the summer then they've got a hefty amount to open in one go, marketing attack! Kong is looking likely to be the 23rd June as that is when VIP tours etc have been blocked out. Gonna get busy! VB logo too.
  19. It'll be another plant box as the queue on the left is still being extended back as well. The tower isn't happening.
  20. Yeah, really wasn't great. It's too light, areas still not working, all that was easy to tell was different was the new targets and guns. It's still unreliable. Not sure where the 800k went.
  21. Lego will have had over 2 million. Towers probably just under 2 million and Thorpe about 1.6 if I were to guess. Don't use TEA, they're horrifically off for many parks! Good guesstimates from them but nothing more.
  22. "The rides we have available for you are Stealth, I’m a Celebrity…Maze, SAW – The Ride, Nemesis Inferno, Vortex, Quantum, Tidal Wave, Depth Charge, Flying Fish, Storm Surge, Slammer, Zodiac, Storm in a Teacup, Mr Monkey’s Banana Ride, Rumba Rapids, Rocky Express, Detonator: Bombs Away, King Pig’s Wild Hog Dodgems and the ANGRY BIRDS 4D Experience. Please note Colossus, THE SWARM and Rush will be open from March 17th when we officially open for the 2016 season. So make sure to visit again soon to experience these thrilling rides" No mention of X or Samurai.
  23. Thorpe said earlier today they will release the line up for Sunday tomorrow. Inferno will only drop rust if it's raining and hasn't run in the rain during testing.
  24. Think Swarm is a typo on Thorpe's half and is meant to say Slammer. I think.
  25. Hopefully it will become a rolling scheme and not just a 3 year blitz. Lots of work needed carrying out at the same time because there wasn't anything like this in place. Yeah the TLC thing is a marketing thing and it should always be happening, but if this is what it takes I'll accept it. And I thought the updates would be full of new paving and boring stuff. Some of the updates have been great and we've been getting a good number of them too.
