RMT- brave it backwards Nothing really, I was there at zoo days and we accidentally wondered further than we should have because there was no barrier or anything! All we managed to spot though was that vampires carriages had been taken off and the buildings in Mexicana were being done up. Apart from that, nothing else appeared to be happening so I do not get in the slightest why chessie are doing this work now instead of in the closed season!

Hence on Friday it had a queue of 120 mins and Dragons Fury 20 mins, so we got on Fury 3 times and Vampire once. Now which has the higher throughput.... The staff need a rocket up their backside.

I remember my second visit ever to Chessie back in 2007 and the ride felt like it was falling apart. Six years later and I can only see the ride being much worse. Sky ways is a great scenic ride around Chessie (on the areas it covers) but has crying out for refurbishments for years and may not receive for a few more years.
I hope this ride will get the treatment it deserves in this refurbishment plan as it needs new/refurbished trains and a general station clean up at the least.

Well, I've been thinking about it for a while now, I've been talking to a few people on the forum, and quite a lot of you know that I'm straight, but that was a lie as I was unsure of myself at the time. Seeing people come out recently who I thought were 100% straight has made me realise that I should be who I am, so that's why I'm going to say and be proud of saying I'M GAY A big thanks to those that have supported me and guided me into this decision, and I am ready for you all to know! Definitely worth the visit to Kent when will we ever get an American sized theme park in Britain again, never so this will be the place to visit when it opens, hopefully the hotels will be abit better then the crash pad

To me, I see this retheme idea thing as mixed view. It could improve the ride and bring the theming back to it's former glory or make a total mess of it.
I can see Falls operating with the little to no theming it still has for 2013 while Chessie's management receive the ideas received by fan and the like and choose the best concept for 2014.

While my perception of the ride has somewhat changed slightly in recent years, Inferno left me absolutely speechless when I rode it for the first time. I thought it was an incredible experience. However back then the only real thing I had to compare it to was a wild mouse and the Legoland Dragon coaster.

Anyway...

Although the ride opens in less than a week after its rehab we could see it as something to happen between the closed season of 2013 & 2014!

I don't think this Wednesday should be too busy as so far this Easter the park has been quite empty however X will generate long queues due to it being on a two train operation and really popular!

It's been off for a few days now, since it got freezing cold, I guess it will be back on when it's abit warmer!

Last year stealth was displaying 60 minute queue and it turned out to be 5 mins. There was a fastrack lady at the entrance of the ride telling us to buy fastrack because the queue was between 45-60 mins **sigh** merlin...

And there by heavily dubious fastrack sales are made. So wrong.

After staying at the crash pad Thursday night I just thought id give my little review.
We headed over to the reception building at around 2, inside the entire back wall is just a massive picture of all the Thorpe rides and it looks great. There was a mix up with our booking (I booked for 2 people instead of me) the staff were only too happy to help, although it did take abit of messing around to sort.
We were taken to our room and left to it. Whilst from the outside you can't hide the fact they are shipping containers, they've done a good job with the surrounding area and the little garden area looks really nice.
The rooms them selves are obviously abit tight, but they are of a very high quality, the beds are very very comfortable (probably one of the nicest I've sleeped in!) and the rooms are nice and warm (or cool!) if you like. The area around the double bed is padded so you can confortably sit on there watching tv without much fuss.
The wet room is ok, the door isn't great and don't offer the best privacy and the plumbing as abit loud. But apart from that serves its purpose well. The rooms come with free shower gels / shampoo and soap along with bottled water. You can get things like hair dryers / irons from reception if you need one.
For the evening meal your asked to book a time at bar 360, when we got there at our time we were shown to our table. There was full table service on offer which was nice, the food the same as in the day but the menu has improved somewhat on last year so that's no bad thing.
As for the evening entertainment it changes each night depending on how busy the park is, we had rock and roll bingo and some sort of quiz, but the done was so quiet it was all abit awkward and will probably be better and offer more when it's busier. ( it's sold out the next few days so will be interesting to see how it compares) the shop in the dome seemed to open till around 7:30/8 and the arcade games were available till the dome closed at midnight.
For breackfast your also given time slots either 7 till 8 or 8 till 9, your given tickets to hand in when you get to bar360, they offered a free continental breackfast or a full fry up for £5.95, I went for this option and it was quite nice.
Checking out was nice and easy and there able to offer you somewhere to leave bags etc for the day, Swarm and Fish opened at 9:15 for crash pad guests giving around 45 min ert on these 2.

So X hasn't even been open a day and there's already a POV of it?

Went to the park yesterday, I have always been a fan but I am going to give my honest opinion now... What an absolute SHAMBLES.

Updated the website on yesterday morning and it said nothing was closed due to the weather! Great we thought so we headed up only to find Vampire, Dragons Fury, Rattlesnake and RMT & Dragon Falls all out of action! We headed to Zufari and had to wait 30 minutes before they started running the ride.

Zufari I thought that the ride was very well thought out, needs time to settle in and grow. The preshow was funny and I like the idea behind that and the talking lemur. The animals were all hiding because it was to cold but the expeirience was pretty good. I thought the cave finale was pretty poor though, there was no effort made in the slightest. even if it had some tiki masks or something it could make an improvement. All in all a good ride but not great. I would give it 6/10 but don't queue more than 45 minuites - 1 hour for it!

Later on in the day things started to open as it warmed up but Vampire was on 1 train... with a 60 minuite queue (FML) so all in all a pretty rubbish day, if I had paid I would have been seriously miffed but as it was on the Annual Pass I couldn't complain to much. Dragon falls looks ghastly and RMT seems to have had nothing done to it either!

We've been to chessington today to check out the area. The tunnel and the dragon are still in tact ! Just to add Zufari was great! Really impressed!
