I will buy everyone on this forum a drink at the local spoons if Big Top returns. I will actually go through it butt naked if it did. Time to just accept that it’s gone for good.

Really splashing the boat out there then... didn't you previously say that you would run round the park naked?

Saw was in an awful state on Sunday; gun sound effect not working, queue TV's too quiet, swinging axes still not illuminated (broken since start of the season!) and water spray not red.  Lots of smaller effects were also broken.

Awful! I do wonder why they even bothered to open the ride in that state, I would of much preferred to see it SBNO.

  3. Does this forum have a files section?

I am  part of a FB group and if anyone asks a question they just say "HAVE YOU CHECKED THE FILES" personally I haven't read the files as who the hell wants to do that?!

But I just think it would be fun to comment "HAVE YOU CHECKED THE FILES" at unsuspecting new forum members especially now with a membership 2,911 and growing by average of 1 member per week I feel as if this would be important.

New for 2019: The Chip Shop. Completely original idea where you enter what appears to be an innocent looking potato farm in Old Town but all is not what it seems, and the workers there are not happy about you interfering with their Maris Pipers ?

ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH THAT'S EIGHT POSTS IN A ROW, NOT EVEN DOUBLE POSTING MUCH WORSE. ADMINS PLEASE BAN THIS MAN!

  5. If I were Thorpe I would have a doctor on site to permission genuine need for a RAP. The system is clearly abused and to the point of making it a bad day experience for the genuinely disabled in  having to join long RAP queues, I feel really bad for those guys. For too long the idea of not all disabilities being visible has been used as a cover for a cheap alternative to fast track. Next time you go to Thorpe do a little bit of people watching and you will see a sea of yellow bands everywhere.

I’m very mixed on this whole development. A water park for Gardaland sounds great as does a Legoland water park.

However having a Legoland water park in a non Lego park, I am slightly more apprehensive of as it might seriously clash with the park’s styling. Then again I suppose they now have Kung Fu Panda and Peppa Pig (2) lands so maybe it will work.

Could this mean we start to see more Legoland water parks rolled out across the world? Maybe even as standalone attractions?

Garda have planned a water park for several years, so the buyout has likely had little to no impact on the original plan.

Does Ferrari land seriously clash with Porta Adventura theme? I would assume they are building a mega resort to entice visitors to stay over the night.

Personally I think this article is a tonne of BS and more of an opinion piece from someone who was probably jealous they didn't get an invite to the press preview.

Remember most of these park run off guest satisfaction KPI ratings and the last thing they want is bad reviews on trip adviser. I would be very interested to see if the marketing and operations teams even work that closely together to conjour up a plan for a bad user experience to create a 10 hour queue.

It's a rather simplistic view to think that new additions would only benefit locals without considering having to live with the consequences of this every single day of the year...

Then that brings up the simple question of which came first the locals or the themepark attraction.

From what I've heard, Buccaneer could be at the end of its life and may not come back at all. We don't have to make little digs at Merlin at every opportunity, sometimes we can just resist that urge, that feeling that we must criticise something, especially in the *checks notes* Adventure Island thread.

The meet organizer should be allowed to make digs when wanting too...

In fairness, there was pretty much no way that the level of expansion they were asking for WOULDN'T cause problems in some way, shape or form for the locals... Particularly with the need for re-routing the road (moving it closer to the highway) to make room for it...

Sure the park will have a good look at what they can do to sweeten the deal for the locals...

But wouldn't that extra visitation from the new attractions be a welcome addition for the local economy, food outlets, Band B's for example?

Black Buccanneer is still awaiting its supports being put in and meanwhile at Adventure Island less than a day after it started being put in...

In terms of safety however... I would personally like to go on Black Buccaneer when it's ready rather than a ride that's been put up overnight by potentially tired engineers in the dark without rigorous safety measures.

Staff were hit and miss. Some were lovely and friendly, whilst others less-so and msybe didn’t know what they were doing, can’t say I blame them with how well they are treated. The ticket girl was useless (as it took 15 minutes to sort a pass ticket) and she had to ask two TLs/managers before actually sorting our ticket. Most of them looked suicidal tbh.

Maybe it was her first day? Did you not have to learn on your first day at Thorpe? Also, suicide is no joke.
