Kerfuffle

Well it beats Tomb Blaster's shed tbh.

At the end of the day, that last thing is all you can do as an individual. Yes, I'm a hater of most enthusiast groups myself for the same reason (if not a few more) and if they wanna d*ck around acting more like different groups of 5 year olds, that's their business. Leave them to it.

Land of the Fence

Even if it doesn't open this year, at least one can stare at this beautiful station building...

The biggest problem with this refurbishment is they seem to have spend the money in all the wrong places. Of all the ride’s flaws, why’d they bother fixing up the zombie tomb at the entrance? It’s looked cheap since the beginning of time, reparing part of it wasn’t going to fix that. Demolishing it really would’ve been better, as it makes the ride seem super tacky, hence most guests don’t bother riding. The space it’s in would serve much better as a proper entrance sign. Likewise, the money for those TV’s in the queue was a huge waste, they’re too bright, and distracting from the proper portraits. While on their own they’re a nice touch, they certainly should not have been a priority. The lighting in most places is still tragic, especially the timing. The great hall demon is only lit up towards the end of its movement, yet we see the whole thing reset.  The same can be said for plenty of the effects. I think the only one that disappeared on time was electric bill?
 
On the topic of the ride’s exterior- while it’s pleasing to see they’re now diverting guests though the woodland queue, rather than just shoving them though by the side of the house, the entrance really could benefit from having a proper sign to make it stand out, it sort of just seems like a gap in the hedge at the minute. Oh, and please change the name. No guest reads “Duel” and thinks ‘ghost train’. If it had a name that actually told you what the ride was, maybe it’d be more popular 

Couldn't quite believe what I heard earlier but it's true. One of many artists I didn't listen to often but still had a lot of respect for. Tonight we've lost another icon in music.

Back in December I completed my most complex attraction to date - 'Mysteria: The Legend of The Manor' is a trackless motion platform dark ride themed around the chilling legacy of Batzville Manor and the disturbing secrets hidden within...complete with a complex backstory for which I could be here all night going through it. Over the past few months however, extra details have gone into the ride, mostly on the exterior - inside however has seen some extra "lodgers", from a skeleton pianist to a couple of ghouls locked in a game of chess for what seems an eternity.

...and today I installed a ride with a simple, easy to understand theme. The theme of 'Galloper Express' speaks for itself, as you take on an out-of-control stagecoach ride through the canyon all while a wild gunfight rages around you. Hold onto your hats!

Well, it’s better than nothing.

Happy to say for the past week I've been learning both guitar and bass.

This is the battery I wish to charge on this garbage ride.

It saddens me to bring this news to the forum.
 
From his niece - Unfortunately over the last week, Adams health deteriorated quickly and so he made the decision to stay in a hospice to try and build up his strength. Unfortunately his health took a turn for the worse. On Monday, the doctor said his liver was deteriorating very quickly and that he was facing days. He had did family around him but sadly he passed away this morning.
 
Adam was one of the most kind hearted people I had the fortune of meeting. His sister Kirsti would like me to pass this onto you. This has been a pretty awful morning, but he is suffering no more. Due to the speed of the deterioration, no arrangements have been made for the funeral but I will let you know as soon as I do, I'm not sure if any of the group would like to attend. With regards to the crowd funding page, Adam never got the time to make any memories and the money hasn't been touched. I know a lot of the group donated and I would like them to know the money is going to be put into ISA Accounts for his two little boys.
 
For those who met him at the meets, will know he was a very kind, warm natured character who will be truly missed within the community. His big sister Kirsti has asked me that if anyone has any photos of him, doing what he loved to pass onto me, so I can pass onto her etc. My thoughts are with his family and friends and especially to his too little boys who have now lost a dad at just the ages of 4 and 6 

Thats the sound of Matt just completely giving up. 

Just my general opinion and I don't mean to be fussy...but am I the only one who misses the original chatroom?
 
Chatbox is great where it is though (or "Shoutbox" depending on how long you've been here), it just doesn't get a lot of conversation for obvious reasons - unlike the chatroom, there just isn't that sense of privacy.

I'm only going on the 24th to ride Loggers, Slammer, X & Rocky Express tbh so will be heading straight to guest services if any of these rides are not available.

Little birdies have been eaten by Walkers and are therefore not trustworthy.  Only trust rumours you hear on the grapevine.

My office chair is more intense and has a crap load more forces than Swarm, you'll be fine.

On that note, this Meet the Makers event did give the opportunity for those who went to ride.  As such, there will be photos of the pre show, ride station and other indoor areas which people may wish to not see until they ride.  
 
If you do decide to post pictures of the inside of the experience, or explain in-depth what happens, please use spoiler tags to do this.  If there is enough demand (which I doubt because interest in this hasn't exactly been sky high on here), we can temporarily create a spoiler thread for the attraction until it's been open for a couple of weeks, after which spoilers are normally fair game.

Towers rides aren’t complete without scaffolding and bare steel beams by the ride entrance.

If you look reaaaaaalllly carefully you can see where it used to say Thorpe Park on the front of those amazing trains. Ahem. Second only to Disney, lads!
