At least a little more accurate than when LadBible reported on it which stated afterwards she went on rush where the same thing happened. I do like the way both articles make it sound like she walked passed the queue to get off and not use the exit. If she was truly humiliated she wouldn't have gone to the press.

I don't know why, but I could imagine Thorpe building a spinner, and then when they run out of money, they can say it goes backwards the next year

I met a chap at TP on Monday who told me that three years ago he endured "the walk of shame" (his words), by being unable to take a seat on Stealth due to being large.

He went away and has shed five stones and is now going to start visiting TP and other parks more often as he is able to ride roller coasters. Proud of his achievement quite rightly, it must be quite distressing for those who cannot shift weight. Me? I'm a lucky so-and-so who has stayed the same weight since I was a yob, some years ago now.

With respect to being the wrong size, it does annoy me that people with small children will queue and subject the ride hosts to being seen as "the ogre" due to declining access to that small child, when it is the accompanying adult who is at fault.

Without planning too much I had intended attending TP today to catch some reasonable weather and before my shifts start again - to find last evening that it is not open. I may be the only one, but Fright Nights are of no interest to me except for perhaps getting some late rides, be it with an extra payment.

Annoyed I'll now have to think about doing some things around the home.

Frustrated that I haven't ridden a coaster since Sunday, and not much time left.

I don't think you'll be the only one annoyed as there must be people who had planned a visit Tues-Thurs.  Fright Nights isn't to everyones taste but it is the parks busiest time of year so I guess if it means they will be fully prepared during the close days for when FN starts then they might get less complaints from the GP.  You could always watch some POVs of....stealth?!!!  Damn this has made me realise that once Fright Nights are over, the closed season will fast approach - argh!

I do love that section on Cheetah Hunt.

The location for the BPB item was mapped out when I visited in April. The pillar locations and the launch site (at least one) were marked out too. There is nothing in that concrete bunker which was water filled, so that may be part of it. They are limited by the existing items around which this will run. They cannot separate the ride and area so theming is limited.

It's called a "Pleasure Beach" which, as you indicate, is not a theme park. The physical position of BPB is restricted, but is arguably the best seaside park in the UK. The attendance of the public at BPB does not need to be attracted by theming but by new items which may differ from their present items.

I know I said it to some of the group on Sunday, but I used to love the feeling of "now what's it doing?" and the effects, I.e. noise, wind, and I believe water spray. The stuttering movements created a feeling of insecurity for new riders, for me it was good.
