  1. If Rush isn't open (and I know it's supposed to be, but still) I will lose my s*** lol.
  2. Sorry to make a new topic... But was looking at a holiday in Tunisia and looking what to do in the area, stumbled upon Hannibal Park from trip advisor, can't find a website for it, but just wondering if in the rare chance anyone has been?
  3. I'm hoping the pricing structure works for them... They're going to end up with less guests but still making similar money, smaller queues, greater guest satisfaction?.. That or trying to get everyone to get an annual pass. 2016 we'll see how their pricing reacts to this year.
  4. To be fair people who pay on the day price are pretty stupid... I can see why they have put it up as most people use 2 for 1 vouchers, and would now imagine that online prices would be cheapest option which is ideal for them so they know how many guests to expect... Or just buy an annual pass for like £10 more. So a slight overreaction from everyone.
  5. I've gone for a really enjoyable, active job... got myself an apprenticeship as an accountant. Couldn't believe I got it, I start Monday; now I get every weekend off!!
  6. let's hope the parks opening hours is extended, even if it means like summer nights with an event charge. I just can't stand busy parks, especially the sort of people that visit thorpe... almost as bad as first couple of week of July before all the school kids break up!
  7. Well I think Alton Towers need to be all over this, hoping it get's cancelled or delayed, and get their europes first lol!!
  8. £400 a night would be for the treehouses which I think have hot tubs (correct me if I'm wrong?)... the pictures we've seen are for the lodges which are around £250/300 for a family of 4 I guess.
  9. didn't someone find out that no animals we're gonna be used... I still don't see how anything like the show can be recreated
  10. I think the key word I used was 'trying' hopefully one step at a time... although I do partially feel they've built the new accommodation a bit premature attracting people to a resort with not too much to do yet, hopefully things like cycling trails, segways etc. will be considered in the near future.
  11. if you check theirfacebook page, the advert with ant and dec has just been uploaded... nothing special and doesn't actually show anything from the attraction.
  12. It would make sense that is open when the woodland walk is closed... I remember when I visited back in march, we were the only ones to use the woodland walk, got into forbidden valley for 9 and were the only ones there for 5-10 minutes and had nemesis all to ourselves, literally was one of the coolest and creepiest experiences at a park!
  13. the treehouses are the luxury ones, has anyone actually got any pictures of them? so the lodges being how they are, similar prices to the hotel, don't think they deserve the criticism they're getting for being so small and close together. think it looks great, as they're trying to make it more of a resort, not just focusing on the theme park, especially as it isn't open year round!
  14. As I visited in Scarefest and Fireworks, and not any other time in the second part of last year, I don't actually know what the ERT lineup was, any chance of enlightening me with it?
  15. has an ERT lineup been announced for this year yet as I can't find anything on it on their website?
  16. So are these supposed to be more expensive or less?
  17. Summer is unbearable in the park... Summer Nights is literally the best thing ever, warm weather, no queues and night rides!!
  18. It wasn't working Saturday, and did go off at times on Wednesday, although as mentioned didn't seem to be as much of an explosion as it used to be.
  19. They don't usually scan the paper ticket, but scan your merlin pass and take the printed ticket off you, that's what happened for fright nights last year, and braniac this year. But yes does mean anyone could like reserve the tickets to stop as many people from going... Wait I've had an idea to make the annual pass weekend quiet
  20. So I tweeted thorpe and all they replied with was 'Hi, we will be having music events over the summer :)'... that didn't answer my question about summer nights lol!!
  21. So looking to go opening weekend... just wondering peoples opinions on how busy it usually is... was tempted to leave it til the weekend after, but the park is open til 5.30 and the waterpark 8pm suggesting that it is school holidays the week before easter up north? any help would be great.
  22. okay thanks couldn't remember if it was just august or not.
  23. Sorry to revive this topic without no actual news... but thorpe haven't mentioned summer nights on their events page yet, I really hope it does come back! can anyone remember what sort of dates they done it the last 2 years to give a rough idea for this year if it does happen as I'm looking to plan a weekend away soon to london and was looking at friday 31st july, just didn't know if they done august only or end of july as well previously?
  24. Reserve and ride they are still trialling by the looks of it, so you may be (un)lucky enough to have it trialling on the dates that you're there, although that won't be announced til closer to the time; reserve n ride is used on your mobile phone. But in which case it is most likely the normal paper fast track will still be in use.
  25. so yeah just reviving this topic as chessington have added a webpage with what's new for this year, although we already know... not sure if we knew the little kids drop tower (not sure what it's called) is being rethemed to fit madagascar penguins. http://www.chessington.com/2015/penguins.aspx It’s operation have fun at Chessington from Spring 2015, as we dive into the Year of the Penguins, with lots of brand new experiences to be had: DreamWorks’ Penguins of Madagascar descend for an exclusive new live show “Penguins of Madagascar Live: Operation Cheezy Dibbles”. Stay over and join the Penguins on a secret mission in one of two exclusive new Penguins of Madagascar themed bedrooms at the Chessington Safari Hotel. Bounce high into the sky on a newly themed Penguins of Madagascar ride for young adventurers. Humboldt penguins frolic in a brand new enclosure and walk-through experience.
