Completely had enough of the life span argument. It is outrageous that because you disagree with the outcome that suddenly your opinion is more important than someone else's. Democracy means everyone is equal. Everyone has one vote regardless of background. The 16 year old vote isn't in place because hardly any 18 year olds vote so I can assure you even less would at 16. A majority of 16 year olds are not interested in politics they have little engagement in current affairs and as a result they don't have a vote. Yes it will effect them and the decision has been made for them but so has everyone under 18. You have to draw the line somewhere. Scotland will push for another referendum but it will ruin them. They would be forced to adopt the Euro, they would have to take some out the UKs debt, the economics of the country don't work as they spend far more than receive in tax and the SNPs only answer to money is north sea oil which belongs to Westminster anyway.

I would like to point out the value of the pound is not a measure of the economy. They rise and fall and while yes it has fallen a lot it is now rising again. Exports are far more favourable with a weaker pound. The ftse 100 was predicted to be down 9.8% however currently it's only down 2.2%. The markets don't like risk which is why they are all over the place. Once a plan is set out then stability will be brought to the markets. Brexit was always going to be damaging short term, however it allows great growth in the long term as we are no longer letting the slow EU set up poor trade deals for us.

Perhaps the heat was the issue with the launch system that delayed it's opening.

Really worried I was going into the polling station on Thursday not knowing how David Beckham was going to vote. The media and the UK population are a joke if we seriously considered how a footballer is going to vote is actual news. 2 days to go and the best article the BBC has to offer is David Beckham is voting remain. If that influences anyone's decision they probably shouldn't be voting. He has the political expertise of hamster and spent most of his life kicking a ball up and down a field. People's opinions should not be influenced by celebrities where most are evidently out of touch with society as they have everything done for them and they have crazy amounts of money.

It worked well with badwolf as it was a very minor role in the series and hardly noticeable unless you were looking for it. It made sense for the overall story arc to be there and added a layer of depth to the series. The problem with moffats overall stories is that they are the main story and not a subtle thing in the background. Also on many occasions he just rams in scenes that don't need to be there which ruin the episodes. (Into the dalek comes to mind)

Its pretty similar to that image to be honest. It is missing the kink in the coaster though.

The support structure is the most efficient they can get. Stealth style wouldn't work as the stress and strain on the track would be too large. It is Europe's tallest and fastest but why is that what they want. Coasters should push the edges of fun and some coaster that is just a smaller version of an American coaster isn't something I think PA should be doing.

Ticket sale sites have the bandwidth and processing to deal with large amounts of traffic. Regardless of how good the tec, it will be slow but normally they stay up. When they don't have the gear they should try other promotions or variations on them. Otherwise they will crash and you get a load of people who don't understand how the internet works moaning because they missed out on 50p tickets.

I still don't understand the point of this ride. It's acceleration won't be very good the top speed isn't very impressive and its height is a tad underwhelming. I have faith it will be popular for the park and offer a decent experience but I can't hep feeling it will be a bit of a let down.

I thought IAC is still run by Merlin. When it hands over to Thorpe's operations I suspect there will be less actors. The same story for DBGT. The bottom line is actors are expensive and Thorpe are a business to maximise profit.
-
It is very hard for servers to deal with so many requests at the same time. You need very large bandwidths and very powerful servers. Both of which theme parks don't have as they don't need them. These sorts of promotions would work far better if it was enter details over the course of a week and then it randomly selects people. They should not be done so everyone turns up at the same time.

They could make it a virtual ticket

Perhaps TPM should hold a referendum on should Thorpe park leave the merlin group. #Thexit Joking aside Merlin are not all bad, by no means do I think they are good as I feel there are often missed opportunity's and poor decisions. However out of all the parks they own I feel they run Thorpe the best out of the other parks they own. While DBGT is delayed at least we are actually getting what we wanted unlike a disappointing SW8 and another year of nothing at chessington.

Well the Pro-EU MPs threatening to block brexit if leave wins really shows they can't be trusted. Any mp who tries to block the referendum result will see there career ruined. Doing that would see ukip support sky rocket as would a remain vote. This referendum will be going on way past 2020.
-
Actually multiple polls now have brexit ahead. I suspect it's because of Camerons terrible performance on sky while Goves was pretty good. The remainiacs endless economy doomed is wearing off as no one believes it to be anywhere near as bad as they are saying. Meanwhile Leave is focusing on immigration which is an argument they clearly win.

They will spring a weekend opening with no hype, build up or media coverage at all. Doubtful.

Project2018 LSM or Hydraulic launch?

I think the current price is an arm and a leg.

Parks will develop multiple layouts in multiple locations. So that when things happen they can still push out a new ride when its needed. An example is the provisional designs of LC12 where on a document you can see 3 coaster layouts all with a similar design and clearly all wing riders. Eventually they settled on the swarm and was not too different from the design on the document. I suspect what has happened here is that there were 2 or 3 designs in different locations for a wooden coaster and after the crash they ditched the ride at ripsaw for whatever reason and went with the flume site.
-
The "dark ride" section is literally a couple of meters long as it passes under the station building. A preshow is nothing to really wow about it just sets the mood.
-
That image is from a while ago and the creator was pretty much guessing heights. Hence why the lift hill looks so odd. I'm sure someone is working on a more upto date version. I can understand the negative reaction. My concern is it will be a bit like the swarm with a good layout and good theming but comes across as too short. Especially if that lift hill is launched.

They will have general spare parts for items that regularly break or need replacing. It is not economically or practically viable to store spares for everything. Just be relived that stealth doesn't have the reliability of TTD or the operations of Kingda Ka. Launch coasters are very complex and lots can go wrong.
-
I do hope this has no worlds first. A decent wooden coaster would be nice. Another concern is it seems rather short especially if its launched but hey ho I guess time will tell.
-
Scum is a bit extreme. A lot or reports would have worked very hard to get where they are. The editors pressure for stories that people want to hear not the journalists.
-
Well I originally said that sub Terra was a terrible experience which could contribute to why they don't want to open dbgt early. Word of mouth and all that. So that idea seems to have come from people misunderstanding what I said.
