the reason I think that they have done that is because it is very good way to get free publicity and the shot they need might only be able to get might be at mid day due to lighting at the park but should never be closed for more than a hour for filming every day

I always take a medium backpack and have never had a problem with getting it wet with my wallet and phone in but I always try to protect them on water rides! never be to safe :L

it was probably in the plans some where and they where planing on relieving it in a 2 or 3 years because the park would have really suited one and being the tallest thing there for a year or 2
